To sum it up: - The technical amenities and equipment was exceptional - The experience with the first emergency care was overall positive. Definitely could be faster, but considering how crippled I was, there was no where to rush - once I was placed to the room, I was pleased and surprised by the care I was given by the nurses night shift. They were so amazing! Thank you for making the stay in the hospital so pleasant for me! - waiting time for the surgery was frustrating, however the result was great and the surgeon was super experienced and nice person. - I left the hospital next day after I faked that I have no pain and did my best to perform some tricks with the crutches - what was absolutely terrible was the food. I assume they provide such a shi**y food to make you get out from the hospital soon. Which is an ok strategy I guess. However, I was surprised how unhealthy the food provided in the hospital can be. - last think to mention - pills and pain killers. I couldn't understand the amount of pain killers served to everyone. Either they got some kickback from the Tylenol distributor or they just wan't to drug you so you don't feel pain and get out from the Hospital soon. I took less than half of them but still could easily consider myself a crackhead knowing the amount of Acetaminophen I got into my system... Overall I am very thankful for the care and help. Really shocked to realize how some patients act and behave when the nurses are trying to help them. Shame on you grumpy complainers and hypochondriacs (of all ages).

My dentist calls me every 4 months for a cleaning or checkup. When was the last time I had a blood test.?... 10 years! I know many have adequate medical care through established family practices via standard health care, but some don't. I did not. I think I knew something was not right and when I couldn't arrange a standard medical exam through my MD (after 1 year of trying and two misconnects) then I signed up for Copeman. After the intake questions and battery of exams and tests, it was found that essentially everything was off the charts. I was actually in pretty bad shape. Fortunately things were found early enough, I received some expert advice, and was able to get some lifestyle choices turned around before it was too late. The actual facility is centrally located, has easy off-street parking with nice (modern and clean!) offices and waiting room. There are nutritionists, physiotherapists, exercise kinesiologists, nurses, lab staff and counsellors available, but most importantly, physicians who actually take their hand off of the door handle when they talk to you. For lab tests, samples are all taken on site. This is the way health care should be. It is not luxurious, unless you compare it to the standard squalid waiting rooms at physicians' offices, usually located in dilapidated medical buildings with antique furnishings and equipment from the 60s. How we have come to accept the current state as acceptable is bewildering to me. While I feel a twinge of liberal guilt about the whole thing, this is a complicated issue with no easy answers. I was not willing to die waiting for politicians and government to figure it out. At $4K/ first year and $2.5K/year following (there are also family plans), it is certainly not for everyone. I am a supporter, and while this kind of service is not the answer to our current delivery problems, it just might be part of the solution.

Waiting for 30 or more minutes past my booked appointment time - likely more to do with the doctor than the staff. The doctor - lack of punctuality, manners, professionalism and effectiveness. His handling of my "bunion" surgery was a flop and caused more issues in the foot resulting in another surgeon needing to 're-do' the whole procedure and fix the new problem. When I tried to discuss the issues with him, he became agitated, defensive and abrupt. In the first meeting with him, he gave me a verbal picture and information about how my joint wasn't compromised so it would be a simpler procedure as he would only need to scrape tissue and the total time in a walking boot (cast) would be 5-6 weeks at which point I would be able to put my runners back on and do what I did before. Hogwash... I was 10.5 weeks in a cast and in to rehab. That's because he cut through my first metatarsal which was Never discussed. I learned about it because I obtained a copy of the post surgical xray. Weeks after surgery, to view the surgical site, (with dried blood in 4 layers of gauze) he grabbed the gauze and with one aggressive yank, ripped it off. One layer stayed stuck. While I was still holding my breath with a death grip on the chair he grabbed and repeated the same maneuver. Along with the gauze; adjacent to the incision; came a dime sized piece of skin which took longer to heal than the incision itself. There were more shocking behaviours from this man who appears to be credentialed but acts like he is not. RUN !

I was a new patient at this clinic. My doctor herself was great -- I really liked her -- but the…read moreclinic procedures and communication were extremely frustrating. As of this writing, the clinic SEEMS to be under new ownership, so hopefully this will improve. The challenges started with basic communication. It usually took six or more calls to reach someone at the front desk. That is not normal, and it made even simple follow-ups difficult. After my physical, I ended up having to call them to get my results, including an ultrasound that had me worried because no one reached out to reassure me. The most concerning issue was around a simple one-month prescription renewal. The clinic policy is "no faxed prescription renewals," which meant I needed an appointment for something minor -- inconvenient but manageable. However, during my physical the doctor said she would fax a prescription. I initially gave the wrong pharmacy fax number (my mistake), but after that I followed up three separate times with the correct information. I also kept calling the pharmacy, who eventually just renewed it themselves. On my last call to the clinic I was told, "we don't fax prescriptions here," even though they eventually did fax it. The inconsistency and lack of communication were stressful and unnecessary. I understand health care is strained and doctors are under immense pressure. But patients depend on the accuracy and attentiveness of clinic staff, and the system only works when both sides can communicate reliably. I hope the new ownership addresses these issues, because the doctor herself was excellent.

I have tried to get through to get an appointment by phone, but there is a long message and I cannot get through most of the time. Maybe online booking should be available. After a very recent nerve ablation, which should last a whole year, I found myself considering the fact I'd miss the helpful, friendly staff I'd come to know and see so frequently. Everything goes according to schedule, with great efficiency. Never, ever had those long waits for delayed appointments - which seems to be the norm in any other doctor's office - who could learn a thing or two from this facility. Apparently, some people feel it needs a kid's centre - which may be the case on another floor. But on the 2nd floor, it is an aging clientele who are managing pain - and kid's having a free-for-all is the last thing we need... so it's all good on the 2nd floor! Keep up the good work, and don't change a thing. Thanks for the awesome team and medical care. (If your patients will miss needles in their spine... you're doing something right!) lol...

She had booked an appointment at this clinic in advance and to my surprise, was able to see someone within a few weeks. Upon arrival, my client checked in and we waited. I spotted a sign on the wall that encourages patients to notify front reception if they've waited for more than 30min. I'm glad they have this sign because after waiting this long, at least my client felt justified to complain. I watched everyone else in the waiting room come and go, so I'm not sure what happened there. I liked that music was playing and there are nice photos of some of the physicians on display. I sat in on part of the meeting between my client and the doctor, who was rather lovely. She was soft spoken and friendly. To my surprise, the doctor informed us that the clinic does not provide referrals. My client had specifically asked that question on the phone when booking the appointment and she was told otherwise. At least my client was able to get some important tests done and felt good afterward about being able to express her concerns without being brushed off.
