This review is long overdue but I usually don't write reviews…read more I sought out a massage therapist that would assist in my recovery after surgery. I had several abdominal hernia's and received muscle repair (I used a plastic surgeon because I wanted to look good after the repair...not like a regular surgeon would leave me looking). I knew I would need lymphatic drainage massages several times per week. I found Lux Therapy Spa through Yelp. Adina took such great care of me. She was very knowledgeable about my procedure and what my recovery should look like. She was very attentive to problem areas and highly suggested times when I should contact my surgeon for an issue I was having during recovery( I had developed a seroma and was retaining a large pocket of fluid on one side of my abdomen). Adina correctly determined I needed to have it drained. My surgeon aspirated a large amount of fluid and had to put in a drain (which pulled out fluid for another two weeks). I am forever grateful for having chosen her for my aftercare therapist. In total I purchased three rounds of therapy packages, several compression garments(as my stomach was shrinking fast) and lipo foam. She showed me how to compress for the best possible outcome. I made her services part of my journey to wellness and suffered minimal issues with recovery as a result of her recommendations. Adina also made several home visits during our nearly three months of therapy. I truly believe I am in the shape I am in as a direct result of her knowledge, skill, and care. Lux Therapy Spa offered a clean, sanitary, calm environment (I'm very particular...if it doesn't look, smell, or sound right I will not spend my money or time there). Adina is also careful to wash her hands, wear gloves, and change the sheets. Whether you've had stomach surgery due to health issue like me or a tummy tuck because you desired to improve your look...make her services a part of your aftercare, it will be money well spent. You are worth it and so is she. Lux is a spa well worth the money! Also, my daughter uses Adina for deep tissue massages whenever she is in town. THIS IS NOT A PAID REVIEW and Adina probably thought I forgot about her. Actually, I apologize for waiting so long to write this review.
