She returned almost immediately with Anna, who couldn't have been more pleasant / not rushed, thorough, and very happy to explain treatment options. I scheduled a followup, paid my bill and am sitting in the car typing this 20 minutes after my appointment time. At most offices, I'd still be in a holding area waiting to be seen by someone. Everyone at every point of contact was friendly,helpful and quick. Huge kudos to whichever Dr is the managing partner in charge of the experience - it is outstanding!

She frequently interrupted and spoke over me, and one occasion talked at length about her own teenage child that was unrelated to my own care plan. Eczema & problem skin were attributed to "lack of control," rather than discussed as medical condition & symptoms requiring treatment. A requested prescription was refused during a visit, yet the clinic contacted me days later stating the same medication was available (demonstrating Dr. Zimmerman's communication). In contrast, I have seen 2 other physicians at Columbia Skin Clinic and both have been exceptional. While the Columbia Skin Clinic as a whole has some outstanding practitioners, I cannot recommend Dr. Zimmerman.

Free reading time! I've waited longer to see other physicians. Dr. Hunter has always answered all my questions and I trust her. I was treated for melanoma prior to moving. When I tried to check in, the lady was dismissive and told me to sign in on the sheet and she'd call me. At 11:45, 30 minutes after my appointment, she called my name to tell me that I was missing information on my forms. I filled out the forms quickly, even though I had already filled them out online. I asked her when her best estimate for me getting in would be, because I made the appointment knowing I have class later. I assumed because I made an appointment that I would be taken back within the hour that I got there. The blonde lady told me that she can't give me an estimate and that it will be whenever they call me. I followed up and asked her if there was a better way to make an appointment to ensure that I would be seen within a reasonable time frame of my appointment and she said no. I'm super frustrated with my experience, and am going to potentially have to miss my appointment or miss my class unless they get me in within the next hour.

I love education, possible causes and solutions. Not sure I understand the cause, but she addressed the solutions to try for a few mths. Each patient is different, but we must always make sure we not only give solutions but make sure the patients understand what could be possibly going on. I will try her solutions suggested for a few mths, they seem reasonable. Im real big on professionalism and time, she was 38min late for my appt, that's not acceptable. My time is important and she never addressed her tardiness at all. My money and time are important to me. If I was 35min late to an appt or a no show, they would have charged me a huge fee. They make you fill out a form to make sure I understand the policy. I can give a grace period of 10-15min, but not 38min. Don't expect a patient to adhere to policy if your employees are not doing the same. Someone should have addressed this issue before I left. The first impressions are important, this was the first time seeing this provider. Hopefully this will not happen in the future. They also charge a fee of 3% to pay a copay with CC.

I've been going to this particular practice for many years and they have always served me well. Recently they have been acquired by Advanced Dermatology and Advanced Dermatology makes or tries to change appointments via texts that are originating from a call center somewhere in South America. I spoke to a guy, that called himself Benj, because he called and asked if I wanted to change my appointment to an earlier date. As it turns out the date was not available and I asked him what was the confusion. After several conversations between Palmetto Dermatology and Advanced Dermatology, it seems like the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing because there is a lack of communication between the two, which is very unfortunate. I will continue on to be a patient because I like the staff and the doctors but Advanced Dermatology has effectively absorbed and corrupted a very good practice that was functioning well on its own.

Dr. Petit from Northeast Dermatology is one of the best surgeons I've had a chance to work with…read more Initial visit was quick and I left without any worries because he was just that thorough and helpful in making sure I understand what's going on and the ways ahead to take care of my health concerns. The follow up for the procedure I had with him was quick & painless. After check ins, the nurse prepped me mentally and physically for the procedure. She was very professional and kind, definitely the kind of nurses we want to engage with. Dr. Petit's execution of the surgery was less than 10 minutes and painless. I was in and out of the office within 30 minutes or less; amazing! No issues with pain or problems post procedure; testament to Dr. Petit's skill. Only thing the office can do better is follow ups on what they say. I need to do a follow up ten days post surgery and I've called few times. Apparently nurses are the ones who schedule you to see the doctor and I've been told numerous times I would get a call back. Even after leaving voice mails, I never got a return call, so the support team there can do better in communication. Overall, 3.5 star experience and highly recommend Dr. Petit at Northeast Dermatology.
