So this is my second time ever getting my lips done, but my first time getting Botox (in my 11's/eyebrows) but first time ever at radiance medspa in Avon , and let me tell you..... I am in LOVE!! I had the pleasure of having Kristen! Who was highly recommended to me, now I see for very obvious reasons! She was very clear and upfront about pricing during our consultation. Kristen gave me a discount for being a first timer their! She asked what my goals were and took the time to 100% understand what I wanted for an outcome. I didn't feel rushed and I'm a very nervous and anxious person so I was asking a lot of questions and started feeling like I was talking too much but never felt she was annoyed by my many questions! Also when I've had consultations other places they picked apart my face saying "I could use this there and that there" that I never felt I needed. I felt these other places just saw me as a money ticket! Kristen was not trying to sell me anything else even when I asked her about other things I feel is wrong she honestly answered I'm not in need of that (which I know I'm not but hey I'm a girl and knit pick on everything on myself) so I loved feeling like she didn't see me as money but as a person who she wanted to help enhance what I really wanted. Which is special! I'm a hairdresser so I understand consultations and even took a few tips from her patience and understanding of my wants! I am a BABY with pain!!! Kristen gave me a couple options to help with my fear of pain. I went in with a panic attack (not because of them I'm just a very anxious person and going somewhere for my first time is very nerve wrecking) but from the man I spoke to on the phone who was beyond accommodating and the woman at the front desk who was very welcoming then sitting in the room with Kristen it was like I completely felt like I've known them and my anxiety was gone! I've had my lips done before, and I can't express enough how kristen was able to make it as painless as possible and the "tough parts" (keep in mind I'm a baby) she talked me through and was very honest about what was going to happen and did it on my time! Always making sure my comfort was a priority! The salon was beautiful and comfortable with a zen like vibe! I can't say enough about my whole experience. I can't wait to see kristen again! Defiantly my to-go to girl!!! NOT TO MENTION!!!! My lips are EXACTLY how I wanted them! The pout, the lining, where I wanted the volume, everything! I had a hydro facial today, which was my first visit at this spa. I will say the Hydro facial isn't like anyone I've ever had. In the past it's always been a machine and putting serum in my face this one was a lot less of that and more of a mask/massage. I walked out with a lot of the masks still on me. The one thing that was very unsettling was the music that was playing. It was Christmas rap music. The last thing you would expect to feel soothing at a spa. The technician was great and turned it off as I was told her it was making me very anxious. I bought a package during Black Friday, but after the package, I don't know that I would return. read more

went here a to get Tetra Deco CO2 treatment on face neck and eyes. spoke to them that I had the Deca on my under eyes and face and neck before at highest level. Understood that eyelids could not be highest setting. Well the results under the eyes were basically NO change. I spoke with the owner via text and he was kind enough to let me schedule the eye area again. My appt was for 10:00 am. It was suggested I try to arrive early. But the appointment time was at 10, Traffic was bad and so I did not arrive at the suggested earlier time. I was told they could not numb me. Ok Mind you I drove over an hour to get there. it should have been more clear. If Numbing is part of the actual appointment that should be the appointment time, not an appointment time with a suggested arrival time. then I was told they don't do the higher setting under the eyes and that is where the big misunderstand came from, I went there to begin with because that was the service I wanted and I was very clear. Anyway, ended up getting a refund which didn't make up to the time I spent on the road and missing work and although Mark is very polite, the staff was not friendly. They need to schedule appointment times better and include the numbing in the actual TIME not suggest you come earlier. What is that? and they need to communicate specifics of their treatments/levels much clearer. a very rushed environment. they don't try to make you feel welcome, its a rushed experience, like they are just there to fit as many as they can in to make money. They offer injectables, ultrasound facials, micro needling, body sculpting treatments, and more. Kristin does an excellent job with responding to my concerns and giving me results I am looking for. I went for a cool sculpt consultation and was told I was the perfect candidate. I had been to the spa many times over the years so I trusted them. I specified that I would not have a problem getting a tummy tuck if cool sculpture wouldn't take care of my lower abdomen, which wasn't bad, but bothered me. I was assured that if I didn't like the results I could get an additional treatment until I was satisfied. I sat through the treatment. I bought the $100 cream. I called several weeks later because although I was working out and doing my part, my lower abs were still not tightening more than they usually do when I work out. I was told to wait more. Finally weeks pass and I come in. I was measured and told the cool sculpture worked because I had lost inches. I explained as a personal trainer this is what i always look like when I follow my workout plan but the problem area was still no different. I was then told, (and this is why I will never return to Med spa) that I should get a tummy tuck. $$$$ thrown away for bad advice and no resolution. There was zero wait time, all steps of the process were explained clearly, she answered all my questions, and we discussed future next steps, and follow up. I was thoroughly impressed by the prompt correspondence with Manager Mark, as well as the attention to detail by the front desk secretaries. Radiance Medspa is a 90 minute drive for me, but the Professionalism, high quality of service, and standard of care is virtually unmatched, and absolutely worth the travel. Additionally, the prices at Radiance Medspa are very affordable and reasonable (which is certainly not the norm in Connecticut). I absolutely LOVE Radiance Medspa. From the intake appointment on, I felt like everyone at Radiance was very honest with me. They answered every question directly, and openly. Importantly both the technician/nurse and the manager had the services done to them that I was looking for. They could answer my questions from both a professional and a personal standpoint. I had laser hair removal done on two areas. It was not inexpensive, and I was very concerned that I wouldn't be happy with the results. I had all five of the "main" treatments, and I was very happy with the results. Christina, my nurse/technician made me feel very at ease, and she gave me great comfort in her skills. What could have been a very awkward treatment, ended up being as comfortable as it could have been. When I got their celebration letter at the end of the year, with a discount for repeat customers for the coming year, I called right away and signed up. I am in the process of having my lower legs done now, and after only one treatment I am thrilled already. I cannot recommend this establishment. I'm going to keep this as short as possible and to the point as I don't want to waste another moment of my time thinking about this place and the experience I had. I went in for a consult for cool smooth and of course was told I was a good candidate. This was for some small "saddlebags" on the outer thighs. Long story short after reopening in May (due to COVID) I went for the procedure.....on May 27. Each side was to take 75 minutes and done one at a time.....so I planned to be there for a few hours. I should mention that I have had coolsculpting on other areas of my body at another Med spa where I felt quite comfortable with a highly trained professional and had good results. I should have listened to my intuition as I did not have a good feeling at Radiance Spa...but I went ahead with the treatment. Although Jessica was very nice I felt she was not highly trained in the procedure. She was not as precise and particular as I had experienced at the other spa. Anyway, about 12 minutes into the treatment on my left side the machine "errored". I was kind of surprised at this and Jessica came in to the room and said it was no big deal and it "happens often". She took a photo of the error message and once again prepared the same treatment area and reset the machine. So at this point I was getting an entire full treatment on top of the approximately 12 minutes before the malfunction. As you may have guessed the two areas were not treated equally so I have been left with an indentation that has a lump above that on one side where more fat was dissolved. It is not a good look and I avoided wearing a bathing suit all summer because it is very noticeable. When I went back for the follow up appointment on September 23rd I expressed my displeasure with the final result. Jessica said I had a "shark bite" and it's no big deal as it happens all the time. She said it could be "fixed". I asked some questions about how that could be done and she said they could treat the area with a different procedure using heat....but only on that one side. I said I would think about it. A few days later I called to request an appointment for the remedy. A few days after that I was sent a text from Jessica. She stated the treatment would be more coolsculpting! I was shocked and said I felt that would just make the problem worse and that she had originally suggested something different when we met at the office. She said she would check with Mark (the owner). A couple days later I received a text saying they could offer me a "sculpsure" treatment only for that area and to let her know when I was available. I said I would get back to her which I did a few days later. After that I never received another reply or any type of follow up. I wasn't about to keep hounding them as I feel a reputable business would want to ensure their customers are satisfied. And honestly I had a feeling they would just leave me even more deformed. I will have to deal with this on my own by finding someone I can trust to "fix" it at my own expense. Long story short I advise anyone interested in being serviced here to avoid it. I wish I had listened to my gut. Just the fact that this problem of leaving a "shark bite" is a common event at this spa says a lot. Honestly, I am downright scared by the fact that this place has great reviews. They must've had the bad reviews removed because there were many just a few months ago. I feel the need to WARN PEOPLE ABOUT GOING THERE!!! So in December 2016, I made the awful mistake of coming here to get some filler put under my eyes and lips. They do not use a cannula, only a needle which PRODUCES MAJOR MAJOR SWELLING. Think of a muppet from Jim Henson. They decided to use restalyne via a needle to do the procedure. The woman (who I later found is just a physicians assistant, with only 2 years of experience with fillers) stopped in the middle of my procedure to hurriedly run into the other room and give another patient Botox. That's scary. This place is all about MONEY. They will inject you even if you don't need it, they are NOT HONEST. Needless to say, months later my lips are weirdly shaped, uneven and puffy on top, my eyes look unnaturally contoured. I used to love looking in the mirror and now all I do is count the days left til this stuff dissipates from my face. I look totally different. I actually fear that she out something else in my face because 4 months later and there is NO CHANGE. Also, the owner is very unprofessional and unfriendly. His name is Mark and he uses curse words and will call you "Hun", which I've never heard of anyone use at a medical practice. The secretary herself is a great example of too many fillers. She is rude, and downright dishonest and kind of witch-like in the way that she talks. As a brand new customer I should've taken it as a bad sign from the instant I walked in, she was talking to another customer and did not even acknowledge my existence or welcome me whatsoever. I foolishly stood around and then after 15 minutes interrupted their conversation to say "hi..I'm here for my 12:30 appointment?". To which she then replied, "oh you're late, don't know if they will take you now". I WAS THERE ON TIME, SHE IGNORED ME FOR SO LONG THAT I WAS CONSIDERED "LATE". Unbelievable! I left, swollen and disfigured and still look hideous 4 months later. I did not do this for vanity because I have always been very pretty and told so daily. I did this because at 33, I was starting to see lines on my face and just wanted my old look back, but natural as I told the PA. This place is a disaster, should be reported to the BBB as they certainly to do not care about their patients. You will be taken a ride for your money and thrown away carelessly and treated as a nuisance. They are the most dishonest people, I don't understand how they are still in business. I wish someone had warned me about this place. I've been so depressed that it's taken me 4 months to even bring myself to write this review but I feel I need to warn others!!!!!!!!! SHE OVERFILLED MY TEAR TROUGH AREA. I now have bumps and nodules under my eyes aging me even more and my lips aren't bigger from the filler, only the area BETWEEN my nose and lips is inflated , making me look puffy and strange . Also, she had me hold the mirror up and tell her where to put each and every injection. I've had fillers done in other places in the past and I've never been asked that. Usually the doctor knows how and where to inject for a natural look, but no not here! She had no idea what she was doing and completely overfilled my face. I was there on Dec 9th, 2016 for a consult and again on Dec 16, 2016 for my actual procedure. I personally complained to you about your ride secretary to which you apologized. I also suggested you use cannulas instead of needles so your clients wouldnt have to deal with severe swelling to which you dismissed me stating that it would be "too expensive and unnecessary". You also personally told me that you give your clients "porno lips" (your words, not mine) if they ask but tell them not to tell anyone it was your establishment that did them because they are not a great look. You spoke to me about "off label" fillers. Any of this ring a bell? YES, I used my real name, NADIA. Look me up under the two dates I provided. It hasn't even been 4 months and yet you can't find my name in any of your records? If that's true (which I HIGHLY DOUBT) then that is scary and you don't keep organized files on your clients? Excellent I recently relocated back to CT from NC last winter and was referred to Radiance Spa from a friend of mine. I had a great experience from the initial appointment to the actual procedure. Mark, one of the owners rescheduled my appointment several times to accommodate my travel itinerary and gave me a discount on my initial appointment. They did an excellent job with the injections and even had me come back two weeks later for a follow up to make sure that I was happy with the results. When I requested a few more injections, I was given them without a charge. The experience was amazing. I am a regular and have had Botox, and a few fillers. I look fantastic at 49 and highly recommend you give Radiance Medspa a try. For those that did not have a good experience, I am surprised and suggest you give Radiance Medspa another chance. This place is amazing!!! I am in my mid 30's and started struggling with acne out of nowhere. I tried so many different products, doctors, another spa and nothing worked. In my searches I found out about the acne clinic at Radiance and thought I would try it. It was absolutely amazing!! My skin was transformed! I loved how they told me exactly what products to use (so affordable, too), gave me supplement suggestions and diet suggestions. Jess is absolutely amazing; the best!! I have been here twice so far and I love it! I had never had any kind of cosmetic work done before and was hesitant based on previous consultations I've had at other medispas. My first visit was with Kristin for restylane on my upper lip and a bit of dysport around the eyes. I'm 31 and a medical professional who was previously looking tired, dull, and on zombie mode. Kristin is amazing! My results are natural and beautiful. The compliments I have received are along the lines of "wow you look rested from your vacation" "you look radiant" as opposed to "did you do something to your face?" I literally have pointed out my pout to family and close friends and they find it to be so natural they barely notice. That is exactly what I wanted something soft and natural that enhanced my natural contours and Kristin 100% delivered. The dysport has dramatically improved my tired lifeless eyes without giving me a frozen look. I look like me but when I was 19 years old! She kept telling me " we are the best" "everybody loves us" " you have to come in" "lets make and appointment we are the best in the area" It actually was not a conversation but her telling me how awesome they were..but in a very pushy and desperate. This a place that is not very friendly. I stopped by to ask a few questions and was taken aback at how rude and condescending the person at the front desk was. I asked questions about their chemical peels process and all they cared about was getting me to sign and commit to a contract for the services. I felt the women who helped me was very fake and really did not genuinely care. Luckily I found a place for chemical peels, fillers and they have great customer service. The consult itself was extremely thorough and they were able to answer all of my questions which gave me full confidence in moving forward. I recommend Radiance MedSpa to everyone I know! Love it there. Jackie is a great technician and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and answer all of your questions. The rooms are dimly lit and very clean so it's a relaxing experience. They also ask often how you are doing during the process to make sure you stay comfortable (to me laser is WAY less painful than waxing). They also have taken lots of time to explain laser sun spot removal to me, which I think I will try during the fall/winter.
