I live in Lake Worth and was with Reliable for almost 12 years. Reliable installed the 27KW LC and serviced it until they sold to another company. I signed up with RACK because Carrie (left Reliable and now is with RACK) and Jermaine is now with RACK. My generator stopped running. A service tech came out and misdiagnosed the issue. RACK sent out another tech by the name of Matt. He was awesome. Fixed the problem and she's up and running. The CEO, Jesse, the manager, Jermaine, the tech Matt were all outstanding to deal with. Have a service agreement with Rack and when our generator failed during a power outage I tried to call for service for eight hours and could not get a real person. Each time I called I was shifted from one AI "person" to a second AI "person". Left messages explaining it was an emergency because my wife is handicapped. It is now one day later and I am still waiting for a return call. All I received was a one sentence email yesterday saying I would be contacted but nothing yet 24 hours later!!!!! In frustration I cold called a competitor and explained my emergency and they were at our home in an hour and a half and repaired our generator!! Rack is a disaster, likely having expanded too quickly, and their business is out of control. And I am by background a retired senior executive of a Top 100 Corporation, so I suspect my suspicion of too rapid growth and an out of control current situation is based on real life experience. Do not hire this firm! They have terrible service and responsiveness, do not respond to repair requests, and have a phone system that is impossible to get through to talk to a real person. They responded and said to call them directly, but when I do so--as requested--I get yet another AI agent who says they will take my info and call me back. But then I NEVER get a call back! I give one star because I can't give a zero star. This company has TERRIBLE customer service, seriously, they are the WORST company I have ever done business with. The person that gives a quote is naturally wonderful. When the workers show up, they are wonderful. But trying to contact ANYONE in the office during the process is an absolute joke. One AI "person" transfers you to another AI "person". No response to emails. We signed this contact going on 4 months ago and it still isn't compete. A gas line wasn't run and they told us we had to pay more. We told them it's in the contract and they required us to send them the signed contract as proof. Like they don't have it? We ask for the next step, no response then out of the blue we receive a text a technician is on the way. We've called three times to get the tank level monitor information in our contract so we can monitor it. Supposedly only one person can help with that. We have left three messages for Christie with another actual person and each time promised a call that day but there is never a call. We've asked when the final inspection is scheduled and nobody gives us an answer. We are told it's a different department where nobody is ever available and messages are left to again, no return call. I mean what do they do in the office all day? AI answers the phone, when you do get lucky to get a person after trying every sequence of buttons, they can't help you, it's ALWAYS someone else's job and nobody on earth can answer except that one person and they are NEVER available. If we had it to over again we would NOT choose Rack because it has been an extremely infuriating experience. I do not recommend using this company I recommend running from this company. Rack Electric Review I am writing this review to share my deeply disappointing experience with Rack Electric. My husband and I recently purchased a generator from them for approximately $20,000. The installation, which took an entire day, was completed one month ago -- yet from the moment it was installed, the generator has not worked. Over the past 30 days, despite countless calls and messages, we have received no resolution. On the rare occasion our calls are returned, we are told vague excuses about "ordering parts" or that the generator itself is defective. No one has attempted to repair it, no one has offered a replacement, and no one in management has bothered to return our repeated messages. This company has shown a complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and care for their customers. At a time when we invested heavily to protect our home and family for hurricane season, Rack Electric has left us with nothing but a $20,000 piece of equipment that doesn't work. My technician Rob took apart my 32KW generator informed me that the electronic box costing approximately $2500 was bad and that there were two bad switches. He said that he thought they were all in stock and I informed him that I was still under parts warranty, but not labor. We purchased a brand-new Generac unit from Rack Electric four years ago, along with all the recommended add-ons and their maintenance plan. Each year, we paid for the extended plan and scheduled maintenance. Almost every visit resulted in "additional failures" being found and and certainly bill to the factory warranty . In May, the unit required a new battery. Prior to that, there were other issues despite regular service. This past weekend, when the system failed, we called for emergency service and were quoted $395 just because it was a weekend call. Thankfully, the power came back, so we held off and called on Monday. It still took six hours for them to return the call and schedule an appointment. At first, we were told a $195 service fee. Later, we were told $295. But when the technician arrived, he demanded $595 just to diagnose the unit. What makes this even worse is that, according to Generac's own extended warranty we purchased, failures should be covered for up to 10 years. This kind of shifting pricing, lack of transparency, and failure to honor warranty protections is unacceptable--especially for a company that sells itself as a trusted Generac partner. After investing 10s of thousands in the system, add-ons, and annual maintenance, the very first time the generator actually failed, Rack Electric did not deliver. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. Customers deserve honest pricing, reliable warranty support, and professionalism--unfortunately, Rack Electric has failed on all three. read more

Years ago this was a good company. I had no issues when the home generator was installed. But the service is horrible. Calls and electronic requests have not been responded to in 30 days after numerous messages. Customer service manager ducked into a meeting early to avoid a call today. It's a shame. I have two properties in Wellington, each with a Generator. One Stop had the service contracts on both..then Rack acquired One Stop. I got a call, from Rack to renew my service contracts, which expired in April....but then I realized that I never got the required maintenance on both, that I paid for with One Stop. Rack never called to schedule the maintenance...only to renew the contracts. I told them that before I would consider renewing, they needed to come out and do the full maintenance on both generators, which was done today. Rack told me that the contract would be extended to June 1st in order to get the two maintenances done. The two techs that came out were great...I watched them service each generator at each property...gas pressure, oil filter, drain and change oil spark plugs..I even provided them with a new battery for one unit. The issue I have with Rack: The status light on one generator went half green and half yellow, about two months ago, showing that maintenance was do....the generator should have been monitored...there is a system on it to do that....no one reached out to schedule a service...so I reset the system myself. Communication with this company is the worst. You call and the call goes to a service. They tell you that someone will call you back, and no one very does. This has happened on numerous occasions. I called twice yesterday to confirm today's appointment and was told twice that someone from scheduling would call me right back...no one did. Finally I called this morning and was told my appointments were scheduled for today, but they could not give me an ETA window..only that I'd get a call when the guys were on their way....8 am to 4 pm is a BIG window to wait. My concerns with Rack: We are coming into hurricane/now tornado season....communication is the most important with a company that monitors and services your generator. If it's impossible to get someone to call you back on just a normal day...what will happen when I need to talk to someone during an emergency. You get no answers from their service..only that "someone will call you back." As happy as I was with the techs that came out...it's the contact and communication with the office that is most important. They must be forwarding messages but no one calls you back. They were quick to call when they saw contracts that needed to be renewed...but that was the last time they called me....I had to constantly call to get these two services done, which were paid for and never done....and to confirm my appointments. read more

This has been the culmination of an infuriating, incompetent, and dangerously unprofessional experience: * Sold the job under 1 Stop Generator; Rack took over mid-project with zero continuity. * Promised to handle HOA and permitting--then forced us to do it ourselves after cashing our check. * Unexpectedly changed the generator brand from Briggs & Stratton to Generac. * Installation damaged our electrical system: house lights died and the spa motor had to be replaced. RACK's technician dismissed it as "coincidence." * Discovered a propane leak they had not identified and wanted to charge us $1,196 to fix it. AmeriGas repaired it for far less. * Left their company sign in our front yard for over a year. Ignored repeated requests to remove it. * Sent identical "we're working on it" automated emails for months while doing nothing and not responding to my emails. * Final electrical inspection took 16 months. I have had an absolutely horrendous experience with rack and they have absolutely no urgency to resolve the issues they created after they received their final payment. First, and minor, when they buried the tank they re-plumbed the sprinkler pipes, when doing so, they plumbed them in a way where theres 2 feet of PVC pipe sticking out of the ground. I have asked them to fix this 5+ times, im told they'll have somebody come out, and 4 months later, still nothing. Sloppy careless work. What is much worse, since the generator has been installed, half of my house's power (i have two breaker boxes) will lose power, generator kicks on and runs, but i have power. Today what issues me to write this review is this has happened 3 times. To resolve this i need to manually shut off the generator (which i just leave off at this point), and reset breakers. This has been going on for months, Ive told rack half a dozen times, they tell me somebody will contact me, and never does. I was just out of town for 3 months, and Rack did text 4 times while away saying my project is being actively managed, i respond to those texts explaining the issue, they say "somebody will reach out", and they never do. I did not aggressively push the issue with rack since i was away from home and not dealing with the effects. When i returned my EA reached them to have somebody come out, and they finally put a date on the calendar for 2 weeks out. No urgency for an ongoing issue for months. read more

I signed up for a generator maintenance agreement. My first appointment I had to wait 2 months for. Monday was my scheduled day. I also had a problem with my generator that same day. Nobody showed up and when I called they said they moved me to the 17th of July. Why would they not call me and tell me they were not coming???? Then they sent someone out Tuesday to "fix" my generator. The guy who came out said that he didn't have the right equipment to handle the job.. Why would they not be equipped with the right equipment?? He was the "fixer" guy!! Its Thursday and I have made repeated calls to them with no call back. Meanwhile my generator is shut down. Over a year ago, my wife and I made the mistake of contracting this company to set up our backup generator in my property. The generator has NEVER worked. At this point, technicians from Rack Electric have visited our property in 16 different occasions, and STILL the generator does not work. Calling this company is a waste of time. Every phone call was an opportunity for them to demonstrate an absolute lack of communication in between their departments. My permits are still open but about to expire. The generator in my property still not functioning, and after emailing directly with: Dillon Heath, Mandy Cabrera, Joel Aranzmendez and Jacqueline Vargas, I still have a non working generator in my property and no solution in sight. The only person in my thread of emails who actually has responded is Ms. Vargas, who referred my issue to the gas installation department on November 19th to no avail, because no one ever contacted me and yesterday December 2, 2025, I was referred to a Mr. Deonte Petersen who was supposed to contact me but went into a meeting (which i assume he's still in) and has not been able to do what they promised they would do. Additionally, this company, by way of their technicians, has had the audacity, to repeatedly state that my generator is "Working fine, but its not producing voltage", which as a non-expert I believed was central to having a backup generator, but what do i know? I presume at this point I will likely have to involve attorneys to try and fix a situation this company created. Avoid at all costs. They love claiming they are one of the most "reputable family owned businesses in Florida" which given my track record with them, really makes me question a whole lot about them. read more

I hate to even give them one star. We decided on a spot for my generator. I waited months for permitting and South Miami had restrictions on the placement. The permit coordinator did not do her due diligence as she should have known the requirements for a city in which she was seeking a permit. So we decided on another spot and now they want to rip up my brand new artificial turf to install it. The sales person knew I had just put the turf down and assured me they would not touch it. Now I'm being charged 2K for a change order for the relocation of the unit , which was their fault to begin with. We began this process in December 2024, and here it is almost the end of May with no installation in sight. They do not know their business and they do not communicate at all. We signed our contract with One stop July 2014. Shortly there after Rack Electric took over. From then on it was a non stop nightmare. From not scheduling us for the install till December to not showing up, to putting the propane tanks in the wrong place, to destroying community property, and to not responding/returning calls or emails. Eventually my husband went directly to their office in Boca demanding to speak with Eric(one of the owner/managers). Finally, by the end of February 2025 (7 months from contract) the work was completed. The generator runs its weekly test but I live in fear that If we have a power outage it won't work and the thought of having to deal with Rack again is frightening. After meeting with a sales advisor and coming to a price for a Generac generator, I was called 2 days later by the office to tell me they can't honor that deal if I finance. the price was given as a cash price. I as a 68 year old home owner, put a down payment on a full home Generac on 11/20/24, which was just the start of my issues with Rack. Rack tells you they will take care of everything, as they do gas, electric, digging holes, etc, and they will keep me updated every step of the way.... Rack waited for a month, before they requested permits form the town. After getting Town approval in January, Rack took another 2 months before they started work at my home in March, after they had changed the dates they would be at my home multiple times. After making a hole in my yard to drop the tank in, and leaving barrel loads of dirt and debris all over my front yard and garden, and they didn't fill the hole for 9 days, as I smelled gas coming from the filled tank in the hole, and notified them and the town. The town reinspected the tank and failed the job. Rack knew my town had issued a failed inspection, they hid that information from me. Finally, thinking this project nightmare is finishing, and I ask Rack, when is this project going to be done. Thats when Rack demanded I pay the full balance, which I did, as I was completely unaware of the towns failed inspection, which by the way is in violation of our contract, because it was due after fully approved town inspection. I have called the General Manager (Erick) 4 times and asked for my money back, and of course he hasn't returned my calls, and they are haven't given me any of my money back and they haven't fixed the problem. It's obvious the Rack has serious financial issues, if they have to resort to this unethical behavior. My next course of action will be to notify The Department of Business and Professional Regulation, along with The Attorney Generals office, and The Town of Jupiter to register my complaint about Rack and deceitful way they have taken my money. This company induced my elderly parents into giving them $6000 for work that they were unable to perform. They have been avoiding their attempts to get their large deposit back by being unresponsive to emails, calls, and attempts to resolve this. This has now been going on for nearly half a year and my parents have still not received back their deposit. When we did speak to them they confirmed they would return their money and then they have disappeared repeatedly. I will absolutely be contacting the licensing board of the company owner and hope that we don't need to take legal actions.
