I've been coming here for years and I love it!! All of the workers are super nice and friendly. They have a ton of tables and space available! Even on a really packed weekend night, I never had to wait too long to get a table. They have a good amount of food on the menu as well as drafts and bottles. I came here on a weekday and it wasn't crowded. There's plenty of parking and it had reasonable prices. It's an older establishment , but I like that it was low key and there's plenty of space between the pool tables. I ordered beer and was so happy that it was served in an ice cold mug . No Covid-19 Precautions, both staffs and customers aren't wearing their masks, all tables are open so there's no social distancing, very crowded on busy nights. It's difficult to line up to get a table because there are tables around the counter and there are also people playing pool super close to the counter. Upside: Price per hour is unbeatable compared to the pool halls in Norcal. read more

Parking here is easy enough on a weekday. Staff is nice and it's no smoking. Tables are clean, there are plenty to choose from but price was a little stiff in my opinion. We played 2 hours and the tab came out to $15, which I wasn't too pleased about compared to $1 game I pay at Starbrick's in Fullerton or 50 cents a game at another place in Anaheim I've been. This is by far the best place me and my "pool buddies" could find for our weekly competition amongst us. The owner and his son are very respectful and are happy to give you some pointers on strategy, proper form, and even which cue might suit you best if your considering purchasing one. The mozzarella sticks are great, pitchers fairly priced, and the FROSTY ice cold mugs are just perfect (which they will give you more if requested). Great environment filled with both beginner and advanced players with good vibes and the punching machine always ends up with a crowd of people challenging each other for the highest score in good fun! The local neighborhood pool hall. Chill and low key with cheap beers and pool rates. I came here with my family to play pool during a Sunday afternoon. There was only one other guy playing pool at the time. It was a bit weird to be in an empty pool hall, but I quickly forgot about that first impression once the family games began. The pool tables and equipment were clean and in good shape. Natural light came in from the front windows. It wasn't fancy or super nice, but it wasn't a dark and drabby kind of place either. No complaints about the facilities. We had fun and enjoyed an hour of pool play as a family. Service was nice and friendly at the bar counter. The man helping us (the owner?) was quick to set us up and also serve beer. Price: One hour of pool + 3 beers = $23. Good deal! Credit cards accepted. read more

Being that I use to live a few blocks down from this place, it was relatively close and accessible. On the weekends, it does tend to get a little crowded. The crowd usually consist of Asians with a few other ethnicities sprinkled here and there. The people who work there are usually very friendly and nice. Plus they also have waitresses that come around asking if you need any drinks/food, which they'll gladly get for you. We have never had to wait for a table, so thats a plus. Although if you do go on a weekend night, parking might be a tad hard to find since it's in a small lot with parking thats shared with some other stores along that stretch of property. They also have these computer games set up on the counters like arcade games that you can also play if you're not pooling. I've only tried their trivia game once and that was it so can't really tell you what other games they have set up. read more

What a great little place. Doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a fun place to grab a beer and play some pool with your buddies. And they don't rip you off for anything either. Everything's reasonably priced. Definitely earned a repeat customer here. read more

Popped in to shoot pool with a mate absolutely love this place. It's got the beer and the birds! Somehow I always shoot my best game after a few pints and with the right juke box music going it makes me feel like a true billiards champion ;) The people here are great and they hold special events from time to time. The lighting is just right here not too dark and not too light. I also like that the front entrance wall is full glass it gives it an open feel and it's nice for keeping an eye on your fancy ride or pointing out your fancy car to a lovely lass ;-) read more

Why do pool halls have to be such a hotbed for trouble? I remember avoiding this place back in the day because of the Asian gangster types that would frequent here. The last time I went, there were a couple of patrons doing some dubious operation in the restrooms. I don't know if they were shooting up speedballs or what, but it was little sketch. It's a shame, because I really like Rack & Cue. They have plenty of well maintained, full size tables and pool sticks. And they added one of those punching bag arcade machines, which is also a lot of fun. Lately I've been playing on those small, coin-operated tables at these crappy dive bars. Love this place. Especially the owner brian. Great vibe, they have a new juke box. And the food and snacks there are great. Especially the squid stripes and french frys. Tables are pretty clean, and there's always a good number of them there open unless its a friday or saturday night. The only other down side I would say is the pool sticks which are pretty bad. I would say bring your own is you have them, or buy from the owner. They're pretty resonably priced. read more

I have shot as much pool since I've moved down to san Diego, but when I come back though here, this is where I usually shoot pool. It's in the middle for my friends. Pool hall overall is pretty descent. Not super nice, but the felt is clean and the walls bounce like they should. Plenty of tables to ge a game. The spacing is kind of tight so when it's busy you sometimes need to wait for other players to shoot. They do serve beer and normal bar food. Which is a plus for me since I like getting a few beers while shooting. There's a juke box also like someone else said. Pretty cool kickback place. read more

I am so glad I found this place. I like to get out of the house to shoot pool a few times a week in a chill place with a jukebox or some type of music and I found this place after checking out a few in the area. Buena Park is not the most diverse area and I feel the stares walking in places ( no biggie), but here it's a different vibe. Everyone is welcome and the customer service is great! Employees are super friendly and the crowd is the safest i've seen in a pool hall around here, no trouble at all...20 full size tables, a few fooseball and some megatouch video games on the bartop. I like to go on the weekdays and practice my game, they always have specials for people that play a long time like I do. Rack 'Em Up! Wow first review since 9/2011. No one in the OC likes to shoot pool? I know my buddies come here often but I decided to come here for the first time with them. It's a little further from where I live (this place is down near Knotts!) but it's probably the cleanest and nicest pool hall I've been to. The hall is well lit and the tables are nice. There's PLENTY of tables all around and shouldn't be a problem unless you come on a jam packed night. The waitress was nice and attentive. We got a pitcher of beer to go along with our games. They also serve food which is cool but we didn't order any. The crowd was cool. There weren't any drunkies going around trying to start trouble or anything. It's just a spot for some good pool players to come through. Prices are a bit steep though. I think it was $12/hr during peak times. read more

Place is cool... Good for gatherings, big pool house, beers are cheap, along with good food, and lots of good music. There was only 5 of us but we enjoyed all the 90's and today's hip hop/r&b... All in All at the end of the night after being there 5 hours, everything we ordered like the drinks and food along with the table came out to be less then we expected which was under $100. i love this place! they have a jukebox with all the up to date music, pretty decent sized pool hall..they have food, drinks, & beer~ but most of all, i love the owners brian & hannah! they are the sweetest people in the world!!! i always feel so welcomed whenever I go there, although I haven't been able to hang out there as much as I used to - now that I live and work further away. I also love how you don't have to worry about stupid gangsters trying to be hard and starting shit with ppl just because they think someone looked @ them the wrong way. There are about 16 full size tables here that are generally in good condition. I actually prefer Rack and Cue over Hot Shot since they have a table with Simonis felt. While the tables are good at both places, the cloth at Hot Shot really limits your cue ball control, especially if you need to hit a long draw shot. Or maybe I just suck and I need an easy table to compensate for my lack of skills. Other than that, it's pretty much what you would get in any standard pool halls: few beers on tap, some flat screens (4) playing sports, a Foosball table, Jukebox, stinky bathrooms, and occasionally some bums drinking it up outside. Aside from that though, it's a really clean and well lit pool hall. I met an older gentleman here that runs a handicapped 9 ball tourney on Monday nights. If I lived closer and wasn't occupied with a league already, I would jump on this. Tourneys are usually a great bargain since you get a few hours of playing time for your entry fees. Even if you're like me and get knocked out early every time, you can sometimes keep playing on open tables. And every now and then, even a sucker can get REAL lucky! read more
