Long live the Corner Pocket!…read more New owners took over in November 2025 and have quickly alienated loyal regulars, increased jukebox prices, blocked metal rock & roll and hip hop songs, hired "little hotties" instead of competent bartenders, eliminated full-time jobs, cancelled in-house pool tournaments, and even ran off the Sunday night APA pool league! They added a few big TV's though. The thing they are missing is that people can watch big TVs at home. Customers come to the Corner Pocket for something unique, forged over decades. What made the Corner Pocket so special is going away fast. If you can tolerate non-stop country music, don't appreciate a diverse local crowd, hate low-key dive bar vibes, embrace higher prices, reject friendly games of pool, and detest the warm camaraderie of local folks, then maybe the new "Cornered Pocket" is your kind of place now...
