Trader Joe's purchase, said traditional Danish Kringle. Never had one before so thought I'd try it. Says to serve room temp or lightly heat in oven. I got home, and put mine in fridge to save for company. I decided to try a slice myself beforehand, because i was craving something sweet and satisfying. l took right out of the fridge and had a slice and I couldn't stop..... Delicious in every way!! It was literally addicting! I gave four stars because other reviews and ingredient list does say it's definitely NOT on a clean-eating diet. I generally just eat fish, fruit & veggies most of the time, with a glass of wine here & there, but mostly drink water and teas. This stuff is like crack to me! Wouldn't recommend it everyday, but for a special occasion, it would probably be a big hit. I did save some for company, but dang, sure is a diet-buster for me!!. read more

The marketing is fantastic for the company but have you seen the ingredient list?! "Baked fresh daily". "danish bakery" and the authentic nature of this bakery makes it sound like these are made with real ingredients. I will not put this long list of chemicals and unhealthy oils in my body. Consumer beware - these have more junk in them than something sitting on a grocer's shelf. I'm comparing the ingredients list to a box of hostess hohos and this Kringle looks worse. Shame on this "bakery." I'll add at $25 per Kringle they are making a killing on this - buy the hostess treats and get the same amount for 20% of the cost if you are down for this junk. read more

Cheesecake Kringle: A Kringle is a large circular Danish pastry with flaky dough, covered in icing, & filled with fruit, nut, or other more unique flavors. After doing a little research I've learned that sadly, Kringles are not widely spread throughout the U.S. It turns out that Racine, WI is actually the epicenter for Kringles. Racine Danish Kringles is a third-generation family bakery and they utilize the same recipe Danish bakers brought to WI in the late 1800s. Fun fact, Kringle is the official state pastry of Wisconsin. Even though I'm a Wisconsinite, I don't indulge in Kringles too often. The reason for that is although Kringles frequent work breakrooms and all manner of parties, they're usually a fruity variety (yuck! my loyal followers know I'm not a big fan of fruit in desserts). When I do go for a Kringle, I prefer varieties stuffed with caramel, chocolate, ect.... This brings us to the Ingenius variety I have today, cheesecake! Unlike the disappointing/gross fruity flavors I tend to spot at gatherings, this one is filled with a delicious cream cheese and graham filling. I didn't detect much of a graham flavor, but that was fine because the sweet cream cheese filling more than made up for it. This is one of the best tasting Kringles I've had in recent years. Have had dozens of kringles from a store in Fond du Lac years ago when living in Wisconsin. Came across Racine Danish Kringles this year and ordered cherry. What a disapointment! Poor taste first of all. But, for the price, a horrible experience. The "cherry" filling was nothing more than someone spreading cherry jelly with a butter knife on to a soggy bit of pastry. The "thin line" of cherry was not more than 1/16th of an inch thick. Never again! read more

I ordered two green and gold Kringles as a gift to people who were hosting me at their home for the Green Bay Packer game. When they showed me the Kringles they received I was very embarrassed. The Kringles looked nothing like the photo. They were flat and soggy and seemed like they were not baked enough. I sent a picture to Racine Kringle and they offered to send a different flavored Kringle. It was too late for that, the party and the game were over. They also responded that my picture looks like their website picture. It did not. If you are ordering as a gift, please choose another company and save yourself the embarrassment. I love the Kringle from here! I don't know if this is the same place that I use to buy from when I lived in Racine but they are great. I used to live in Racine and I was a member of the old Racine Kiltes Drum and Bugle Corps they had a hall where we practiced and there was a Kringle place about 2 blocks away. I ready love Kringle and have been buying it from here for at least 8 years now and I live in Phoenix Arizona and the UPS driver always knows what it is. read more

My husband's boss is from Wisconsin and told us about the "kringle". I thought for a special occasion I would order and have them as a treat. I took the blueberry to my mother in laws and it was gone before I had a chance to take a picture but it was AMAZING! I saved the chocolate eclair and pecan for Christmas morning. It shipped to Alabama and arrived the date I requested (lucky for me this year!) we put them in the freezer as directed for the 3 day period in between receiving it and going to eat it. If they were better before they were frozen then all I can say is OMG. This is not something I can afford to do often, but for special occasions this will be my new go to! read more

We only bought two Kringle's's this year. Covid has impacted us and we were on a pretty tight budget for Christmas. Santa's Cranberry Kringle was one that we opted to eat, sharing with our immediate family. The perfect blend of tart and sweet with that delicate, flaky, delicious pastry wrapped around it! We will definitely order this flavor or their special Christmas flavor next year as well. You really can't go wrong with these Kringle's- regardless of if you gift them or treat yourself! The recipients are always delighted and there are so many flavors of the fillings it's pretty easy to find one for even the pickiest person to enjoy. I actually gifted a cherry kringle to my husband who is in fact, one of the worlds pickiest eaters! Ever since we started buying them (and it has become a holiday tradition for us) he has thoroughly enjoyed them and cherry is his favorite! They come packaged securely and there is never a crumb out of place! They can be frozen right in their box and taste just as fresh as when they arrive when they are thawed and enjoyed. I bought this at a Trader Joe's and it was so greasy that everyone in my family felt sick. We had to throw almost the whole thing away. I personally wouldn't recommend it. I eat very healthy and clean. Some times I enjoy a nice dessert. That's why I purchased it. Also what got me to purchase it was it said it had marzipan inside. They put way to much icing on the top. My family members were all trying to scrap it off. I heated it up for a bit in the oven and followed the instructions. The supposedly marzipan filling was hardly anything inside. Also I read in the ingredients that it's not actual marzipan. I'm sorry but I can't recall the exact name of what it is called. Does anyone else agree that this is extremely greasy? I put it on a few paper towels and the grease went through. I won't ever buy this product ever again. read more

Our favorite! Our family used to buy Racine Danish Kringles every week from the local grocery store. Now that we live out-of-state, we order a variety of flavors and keep them in the freezer. They make a delicious breakfast, snack, or dessert. The kids and their friends finish the chocolate Kringle in one sitting. I love giving them as gifts--thank you gift, teacher gifts, hostess gift. I misunderstood the delivery schedule and was a bit snippy when I wrongly reported it, but the customer service was absolutely superb. This is one business that knows how to treat customers and Kringles are a very special treat! We ordered the Baker's Dozen for our son, his wife and our granddaughter for Christmas and my DIL said, "We saw how many we received so we were going to put some in the freezer, but they did not last long enough!" And due to the superb extremely courteous customer service, added to our love of these absolutely delicious pastries, my husband said, "They have made us a customer for life." Don't hesitate to give these as gifts as the company makes sure they are delivered in time to enjoy them fully. Ordered online to be delivered on 12/24/16. On 12/23, received an email giving FedEx tracking number. Delivery was done on 12/24, as required. Packing was excellent. I ordered the sampler which had 4 flavors - Pecan, Raspberry, Almond and Apple-Cinnamon. Each Kringle was wrapped in its own box and 4 boxes were wrapped inside a card board box. Pecan was the best followed by Raspberry, then Apple and last Almond. Least favorite was Almond. Best part is they are not very sweet. Have good flavor and tasted fresh. I can see how they are popular for breakfast. I think I can have them after meals as dessert. read more

Warning Customer service and online order Problems: Have received gifted Racine Kringles for a few years and last year called in to order as gifts. This year decided to order several online for Christmas gifts. I received an email confirming shipment last night including the list of products that was shipped. The problem is part of the shipment is not what was ordered. Attempted several times to reach out to customerservice@kringle.com via website link and kept getting message incorrect address then manually keyed address with same result. Called this morning and spoke to two different people and was told there is nothing that can be done to correct order that in is process of being shipped. One did offer a discount if I ordered more and that I should have called in the order instead of ordering in line. She insisted though that there is no problem with their online order system nor customer service link and they do not make errors in their filling orders. As much as my family enjoys the Racine Kringles , I am encouraging both our corporate gifters (who introduced us to Racine Kringles), friends and family to cease use of your company. Now that I'm a Floridian I love sharing my hometown treat with friends down here. Racine Danish Kringle makes it so easy to order, and their kringles always arrive fresh and delicious! Kringles are a fun and unique treat to share with friends. They freeze well too, so I usually order a bunch of them and thaw as needed, like for brunches or after school snacks. A total fraud. Real kringle is made with butter, not margerine and artificial butter flavor. The kringles I received were damp with leathery pastry. Any Dane would laugh themselves silly over this.
