There is a self-serve table that have nice plates, utensils, half-and-half, milk, and napkins. There are plenty of seats, and the place is bright, warm, cool, and inviting. All the bakery items at the Misericordia Sweet Shoppe are made by the residents and boy, do they seriously give Chicagoland bakeries a run for their money. Some highlights: - Macaroons: super buttery and delicious, these are some of the best macaroons I have ever tasted - Cookies: These are one of their specialties. We tried the vegan cranberry chocolate cookies per the server's recommendation, and they were heavenly. - Coconut cake: super light, creamy, airy, buttery, coconut-ty. Wow! - Yogurt parfait: unsweetened and serves with berries some deliciously crunchy granolas. The ambience at this bakery is also excellent: everything is super clean, modern, and well organized, with bright & spacious dining areas and a cute little gift shop. They had a selection of smoothies and bowl options and I loved the "Want to eat like a Bear?" section that displayed a few of the Chicago Bears favorite bowls. I decided on a small Açaí Bowl with strawberries, banana, granola and coconut shreds topped with Nutella and it was very good. I literally ate the entire bowl lol. My mom ordered a similar bowl but included peanut butter on hers. This was her first time ever trying an Acai bowl and she loved it. The staff were super friendly and the shop is very cute.
