Cup of French onion soup does

Great lunch experience at Rachel's. We were just passing through and needed lunch, so stopped in after reading reviews from others - the French onion soup does not disappoint! We also got a half portion of the French dip (delicious and the baguette was really soft) and a burger (also delicious). Highly recommend this cozy spot for a relatively quick lunch with friendly service!

Blackened salmon

My best overall dining experience in the Grove City area. Where else can you get General Tso's cauliflower and $1 Miller Lites? The blackened salmon off the daily specials menu was some of the best salmon I've ever had. What a great meal!

A cute little restaurant nestled in the hills that I was actually happy there was a wait for as it gave us time to explore the scenic landscape and enjoy the beautiful area. The inside of the restaurant has a wonderful cozy vibe to it that's perfect for a date night. Food is where the review loses a star as it was nothing better than average but the setting more than made up for it. Would go back.

Enjoyed our lunch stop at Rachel's Roadhouse. Welcoming atmosphere, friendly personnel, & Savanna our waitress was super. I had a red pepper chicken wrap & my husband had a horseradish burger ( which I must say I was jealous of when it arrived!) LOL Both lunch specials were good & the fries were super. We will have to try it again for dinner.

I love all the restaurants in The Springfield Group. First time at Rachel's in a while. I sat at the bar. Had 2 IPA's on tap. Their house made chips with spicy dip as an appetizer is good bar grub. Their specials change daily. Sandwich Special was a Philly burger with onions & mushrooms & provolone. They also had paella today as an entree! Food was good & not too pricey. Ladies room is spacious with good sized stalls with coat/purse hook & decent lighting (this is important to us, haha). Private parking lot. It's a 8 minute drive from Grove City Prime outlets.

Sirloin Steak Salad with Bleu Cheese Vinaigrette

I was in Mercer for work and kept expanding my search out to find some place to eat. At 12:30, I could sit at the first come first serve seating in the bar area or wait 15 minutes it was packed. Service was a bit slow and they were out of the first two beers I ordered, but such is the luck of the draw. I ordered a steak salad, medium rare with the bleu cheese vinaigrette. Bleu cheese vinaigrette? What? It was SO good. I personally like more greens and less romaine in my salad, but I'm weird. But the steak was perfect and everything was great!

Truckers dinner

We knew this place must be good because they were on a wait at 3 pm on a Saturday afternoon. Lol. It was worth the wait. Stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer n my husband had the truckers dinner- meatloaf over French fries n I had the chicken Tiffany. The breast was nice n crunchy n the cheese inside was delicious. And oh the peanut butter pie was sooooo good! We split a piece but I will have my own next time. Would definitely return

Plain wings and fries.

First trying based on reviews. The placed was pretty packed but they had a closed in section that was open for maybe carry out or special occasions. The staff was friendly and my waitress was really nice. I ordered wings and fries. The wings were good and seasoned well but a few had a slight touch of softness inside 1 or 2. That wasn't a deal breaker because most would consider them done. I like mine fried extra crispy. The fries were not crispy but they were good. Oh the restroom was clean too...Overall I would return and recommend.

I'm sorry to say I can't recommend Rachel's Roadhouse. The best thing about this place is the employees who were hardworking and friendly. The decor is laughable, trying to be something it isn't with bad replicas of period pieces and old timey photos. My husband liked it but he never had particularly good taste in decor or women. The worst part by far is the food. The appetizer we were excited to try, general Tso's cauliflower is cooked in the same fryer as shellfish which precluded us from getting it, grateful that the server volunteered this info when we told her of shellfish allergy. The spinach dip and chips was very moderately ok. My husband liked his fish cakes, but again, we question his taste. Came with 2 sides of which there is a very long list, fries were out of question as they are fried alongside shellfish. I thought his broccoli and mashed potatoes were very bland. My main came with one side; I selected the side salad which honestly tasted like poison. My sweet basil salmon was soaked in sauce and overcooked. In part to kill time and also cause I'm crazy about dessert, against our better judgement, we ordered chocolate peanut butter pie which was more like a bunch of chocolate and peanut butter cream... no real evidence of pie.

Half Rachel sandwich

We had an early lunch today with a few friends. We arrived early, so there were plenty of tables, but by the time we left there were a few people waiting in the lobby. They don't take reservations so you will never see me there at prime time. The menu is kind of deluxe bar food, American, and well executed. Four of us had sandwiches and one had a brain cramp and got tacos. Everyone was happy with the food. They offer half sandwiches, a nice feature for us seniors or foreigners who don't gorge like us. The dining room is decorated in a kind of bar/old West style, and pretty clean and well maintained. Service was prompt, friendly, and professional, but the server was hyper stressed and it made it feel like we should be in a hurry. We had a glass of Chardonnay, fairly priced and the right quality for the setting. It was an enjoyable lunch and we will return, but in my opinion it's not a spot for dinner, lacking a wine list, reservations, and a diverse menu. So, nothing wrong with being a nice lunch place.

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION FROM START TO FINISH 10/10!…read more Perfection. Everything about Talbots is absolute perfection. I eat A LOT of food, and one common denominator I see among top-tier restaurants is that the owners and management are a direct reflection of the overall experience, quality, and taste. Talbots is no different. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, like lifetime friends. Our waitress, Teresa, was fantastic. She passed all the vibe checks and matched our energy immediately, all the signs of a veteran server you want guiding you through one of the best eating experiences of your life. She gave us her recommendations and left us to decide. We knew we were here for the #hashtagyouwont 36oz ribeyes, but we wanted to see what else was recommended since everything looked and sounded amazing. We decided to order a lot of food, almost everything that was recommended. This will be a bit of a long-winded review, but I'm sure the true foodies will appreciate it, so here we go: THE APPETIZERS The Brie: How can brie be so good that it deserves to be talked about first? I have no idea, but it was excellent. The strawberry-jalapeño jam, brie, candied pecans, baby naan, and fruit just worked so well together. An absolute hit. Pork Cheek Tacos: These melted in your mouth and exploded with flavor. They were also a really decent size, we were expecting little bite-sized tacos on a dumpling wrapper, but got two substantial tacos instead which was a pleasant surprise. Naan Bombs: Flat out delicious, and there were enough in the serving for everyone to have a few. Duck Wontons: So unique and flavorful. These were like little empanada explosions of flavor. THE MAIN EVENT: THE 36OZ RIBEYE When I tell you this was a perfect steak, this was a perfect steak. Cooked medium rare, oozing with flavor, and charred to absolute perfection on the outside. That is no easy feat with a cut this size, but somehow Talbot and crew made it seem like a walk in the park. Hidden under the steak, soaking up all the juices, are the house cut fries. I forgot they were even there because of the sheer size of the meat! By the time I discovered them, they were soaked with steak juice, but somehow remained crispy and soggy at the same time. It was brilliant, the fries almost had a poutine like aspect to them. Magnificent, completely unique, and made so much sense. As for the side of corn salad.... absolutely mind blowing. It just looked like corn with some sauce on it, nothing special at all. I am so sorry I underestimated you, Mr. Corn Salad. My God, this stuff was amazing. It didn't make sense to me, but I didn't care, I just kept shoveling it into my mouth. DESSERT We saved room for dessert (of course) and got three: The Chocolate Cake: A plate of pure, chocolaty goodness. Pecan Sweet Potato Pie: Spectacular. Coconut Cream Cheesecake: Wow. I am a sucker for coconut and cream cheese anything, and this checked every single box. THE VERDICT Throughout the night, we watched Talbot go up to each table to check in on everyone, and the chef even came out to talk to us. It was an absolute perfect meal top to bottom, start to finish. You can tell how much this entire establishment cares about what they do, and it is a direct reflection on the food. It's not often I can say a meal is flawless, so I have to give them their flowers in a long well deserved review. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a standing ovation for Talbots Taproom. P.s. Extra kudos for all the cool art and overall atmosphere. There is a ton of stuff to do outside as well but we were there on a chilly night so remained inside. We saw a patio, disc golf, and all sorts of other activities, even a tree house. We can't wait to make the hour trip again and enjoy all they have to offer once summer is in full swing!

Service and the bar was upbeat, friendly and overall excellent from "Good Morning" bartender "P"…read more Drinks were good. Wife had the Always Sunny which she enjoyed. Steak was well seasoned and cooked properly. I had the Asian BBQ, Nobody Likes a Party Pooper. Everything tasted pretty good but was all cool. NOTHING came out hot. Not sure how they try to keep the ribs and pork belly warm but it wasn't working. And not sure why the egg roll and potstickers were cool. Nice relaxed, comfortable atmosphere at the bar.

It's fresh looking and inviting. Because it was one of the warm days recently they had the whole front opened up and that was nice. It seems to have a hometown client base, I say that because everyone seemed to know each other or at least someone else there. They had a food truck setting up when I was there but I don't try it. The selection, while not huge was solid. I decided to try a DIPA and a TIPA and both were decent. The folks working were accommodating. I tasted them at Iron Mann in Girard. Shout out to those guys for having this extensive selection, along with great, friendly service I'd say check out 1547 wherever you find them and see how your tastes compare to mine... My impression of the beers (always a subjective matter, of course) went down something like this: 1400 Miles From Home - a Key Lime Sour. Very light sour, to my liking, with all of the flavors in the description working together quite nicely Kolsch - another light version of this style. It is a good summer beer for someone who wants a little more flavor than a Bud/Coors/Miller Ohio Heat Wave - subtle habanero on the back end slowly builds, but that's about the only thing I'm picking up. This is a very light beer Hang 11 - a sweet IPA? The bitterness is as advertised. Would love to know the hops involved. Very drinkable, but don't expect a mouthful of IPA. More like a sweet, session IPA in my opinion Shooktown NE IPA - first taste hit very nice. Like most of them, it tastes very close to the description. No bitterness, but like others on the flight, it's a light version of this style. I'm used to a more potent hit of juice from a NE IPA, it's drinkable for sure
