This is a cute bar located in Tampa where you will find the quintessential bar atmosphere, and it's friendly and not too expensive and not even too far from the beach - just be careful that you don't drive from here after drinking, for your safety and everyone's, but also as the cops in Florida are not too friendly and you don't want to hurt anybody. We didn't stay long but it has a great vibe and we'll be back. read more

Go to Stix Billiards instead. This place was terrible. I showed her military id and she immediately refused service. In Florida, a military id is legal. The statute is 561.11 This business needs to go. Im sure the bar is ok for a dive bar, but the owner/bartender Rachel was extremely rude and disrespectful from the get go. Not only did she refuse service on account of my military id, but she put on a big fake smile and was condescending. I offered to show her other id on my phone, I have a digital passport which is good enough for customs but not for her. She bragged how it was her name on the building and she is not going to risk losing her license. Since its her place she should check the laws. Maybe it was a bad night for her but unfortunately I wont go here again. Stix billiards is 10x better. read more

What's bad to say about this place? Rachel's is hands down one of the best bars I have ever been to. Drinks are cheap and the food is outstanding. I come here mainly for the awesome atmosphere and their delicious crab cakes and burgers. There's nothing better than eating good food with great people. All of the bartenders are super nice and cater to your every need, which is something you can't find anywhere. I would HIGHLY recommend this place! read more

Meh. That's really what's going to describe this whole place. Spacious, not a ton of seats, REALLY smokey. If I had to sum up my experience in three words. It's a full liquor bar here at Rachel's, the tender was friendly though. There are four, (I counted them on my fingers), pool tables, and there are two electronic dart games as well. There's nothing out of the ordinary here at Rachel's. The real reason for this two star review is the loud music, and the excessive smoke. The place isn't big enough for a little bit of air either, so prepare to wear SCBAs and go to your primary care doc after this dive bar. read more

People come here to hang out and play pool and the overall atmosphere is nice. It's in a hidden spot in some plaza but I'm glad I found this place. Nice, clean bar that gives residents of Town and Country another option. Located in a plaza, the bar is a decent size, with one side housing the bar with plenty of seats surrounding it and the other side housing 4 pool tables, 2 dart boards, and some high top tables sprinkled throughout. However, unless you're sitting at the bar or able to snag a pool table or play darts, there isn't any other seating options. They recently started serving food, which is also a plus. My husband had the philly steak sandwich with fries. It looked delicious and he was pleased with it. I plan to order food from there the next time. The owner, who also bartends is very nice! She is very accommodating and remembers you when you come back ,which is a huge plus for me. Overall, great little place that is well kept, friendly staff, good food & drinks.
