Oh thank heaven for 7-Eleven!! Today is 7/11, July 11th, and every year on this date the 7-Eleven…read morecompany will give a free small size Slurpee to anyone that comes into their store. How cool is that!?! This year marks the 60 year anniversary of the iconic Slurpee!! When I was a kid many, many moons ago, I would ride my bike up to 7-Eleven and use my babysitting money to buy the essentials- candy, snacks, magazines and a Slurpee!! My favorite Slurpee was mixing the Cherry and Coke flavors to make a Cherry Coke. Today we were in the area of this 7-Eleven location at 9750 Walnut Hill Lane for a family member's birthday. I had read earlier in the day in the Dallas Morning News, that there would be a fun date experience so we decided to stop in on our way to the birthday party. I'm so glad we did!! This 7-Eleven location is amazing!! It's so clean and modernized! It was set up as a fun "date experience" and boy was it ever fun!! They had a DJ, photographer, photo-op spot, very kind and friendly people helping make and serve up the free Slurpee's in your choice of flavors. After the photographer took your pic, they could send it to your phone and also print it off! How cool is that!?! I will definitely be coming back here very soon because it was such a fun and tasty experience. Nothing like a Slurpee on a hot Summer day! Thank you 7-Eleven for letting this "young at heart" woman reminisce about my younger days while enjoying a refreshing and delicious free Slurpee!!

The selection of teas at this convenience store rivals Central Market. During the 2021 snowstorm, a line of dad's stood by as this place made batches upon batches of taquitos. You could have put them on a plate with a garnish and served them at a Tex-Mex restaurant, and I would have been fooled. I have gone inside on Christmas Day, and the workers are still so enthusiastic that you wouldn't even think that they were at work. I'm not sure why they turned this 7-Eleven into a Whole Foods competitor, but I am glad that they did.

Avoid This Location - Especially If You're Black!…read more I live in the area and usually make a point to avoid visiting this store late at night, especially when the Bad Built, knock knee, slew foot, balding, older thief with the permed scoop of hair is working. His attitude toward Black customers is consistently nasty and dismissive. I've watched him laugh and carry on with white customers, but the moment a person of color walks in, it's like they're a problem just for existing. Every time I've interacted with him, I've had to ask for a bag no matter how many items I'm buying. He acts irritated by basic requests like that. When I asked for a receipt, he rolled his eyes like it was too much to handle. But what really pushed this over the edge was when I noticed I was overcharged. Turns out, an item I bought was part of a promotion, and instead of giving me the deal or clarifying it, he charged me for a second item I didn't even receive. When I asked about it and requested a refund, he refused to give me his name and said and I quote "I'm not giving you sh!t back." That level of disrespect is disgusting. And as if stealing from a customer wasn't bad enough, he then ran to the back and said he was calling the police on me. Imagine that he overcharges me, refuses to correct it, then plays the victim. Absolutely laughable. This kind of behavior isn't just unprofessional it's dangerous and discriminatory. Management needs to deal with this employee and stop letting him pick and choose who he treats with decency. If you're Black or value basic respect, take your money elsewhere. This store clearly doesn't care who they disrespect or steal from.

If I could give a 0, for gas, I would. I avoid this place at all costs. I have never been here when…read morethere wasn't a car PARKED, with no owner in sight, at the pumps. There are always people waiting for gas, thinking the owner of said car will be coming out any moment, only for them to finally get frustrated and drive off. I've seen it EVERY SINGLE TIME I've been forced to stop here. Terrible gas pumps and parking.
