There was a "bump" along the way which has encouraged me to continue into a year contract with him because of how he handled a misunderstanding in our communications. Even the plumber installing gas lines for the heater told me that he was surprised how responsive Chris had been with our communications after I had paid him in full. I am very pleased with Ken, the man that comes weekly, and all the employees of Lazy Day Pool that I have spoken with including his mother-n-law who answers the main number. I have great confidence that if there is any problem in the future that Chris will "do the right thing" and correct whatever it may be. The pool is slightly dug in on one side to give the appearance of an in-ground. It really is a fantastic setup. Jim Blume, at the time, had come out to me and had given me a full estimate of not only what the pool would look like, but also what some other landscaping ideas would be. I took his advice and the finished product still gets compliments, 9 years later. I have the original liner in the pool, the original filter, and the original pool pump. Everything was made by Doughboy, in the USA, and is basically bullet-proof. I also purchased the Polaris "Turtle" from here and I love it. The turtle still runs great. I've often called and paid for things over the phone and I have them hide them for me, since they sometimes close before I get off of work, and they are able to do that for me without a problem. One time, around 4 years ago, I let the pool get away from me and they came out and got me back to crystal clear within 4 days for around $50!!! I have favorite employees, and that would be Andrew and his brother, but the entire staff is helpful. I think sometimes the new personnel gets a little flustered (my poor wife went back and forth 3x once to get the right part with the young lady), but overall they are still EXTREMELY helpful and they really go far to make sure the customer (me) is satisfied. Also, they always have deals on chemicals at the end of the season and they just branched out into selling massage chairs. While I won't be getting one of them (a little outside my range), they are amazing and I thoroughly tested one!! ;-) After over 9 years as their customer, they have NEVER lied to me or treated me any way other than fair. This is still a family business and it is one of the few still left where they treat you right!

Ultimately, I ended up purchasing a Peyton 680 Series from Atlanta Hot Tub Center. It was installed a few weeks ago and I have to say that this investment was well worth every penny. Even my penny pinching husband agrees with me on this one, which is saying a lot! The delivery and installation was fantastic and exceeded expectations. Jerry Roberts and his team were true professionals. They navigated the obstacles of our terrain flawlessly and set up our new tub in its designated spot without incident. They cleaned up after themselves and got our new tub up and running in no time. Jerry was great! He set everything up properly and made sure we knew exactly how to work and maintain the spa for optimal performance. My only complaint throughout this whole experience is that I would have preferred a bit more proactive communication prior to delivery and installation. Dusty did tell me it would be several weeks before delivery but as we neared the end of the estimated window he gave me, I found that I had to keep calling to get a status update on when to expect delivery. It would have been nice if they had reached out to me to ensure I had taken care of the electricity or to give an updated estimate on when to expect delivery since there were some things we needed to take care of on our end before taking delivery and it would have helped us plan those things better if we had heard from them without me having to call the office multiple times. It was mildly annoying but at the end of the day, I decided not to knock a star off for it because they made up for it with a great delivery and overall experience. I am happy that we went with Atlanta Hot Tub Center and if I had to do it all again, I would choose them over the competition any day.

We met with 5 pool contractors. We narrowed it down to 2. One said that if we wanted to use the pool this summer we would need to wait to begin, Thrasher Pool said they could get it done. After speaking with a few references and another meeting with Chris we had the confidence we needed that Thrasher could meet our aggressive schedule to be swimming this summer. Construction began March 28th and we were swimming by June 1st. Chris Fogelman provided excellent design advice, and was receptive to changes and additions that we made during the process. Thrasher is professional, dedicated and offer an elite level of service yet their pricing was in line with other bids. Our pool is gorgeous!! The fountains come on each night at 7pm and beckon us outside. We highly recommend Chris and his team at Thrasher Pool and Spa.
