After they diagnosed the quote came in the rebuilt by 2011 Jeep Wrangler transmission for over $4500. This was way above the industry standard for a rebuild which is no more than $3000. They would not provide me with a breakdown of the parts they needed to replace but verbally told me it was just the gears. Kyle told me he didn't have the time to write down all the parts. After I decided to go with someone else. They put all my transmission parts outside on their drive way for me to pick up. Attached are pictures of my parts left outside.This is not how you do business! I have since filed a complaint with the consumer protection act. I ended up going to triple A transmission in Newmarket and they ended up charging me $2700 flat.

They replaced a few things here and there but my car is still leaking a shit ton of oil and now even transmission fluid. When I brought it in for Ken to look at, apparently the fact that it was leaking transmission oil is not their fault. They also said that their 'warranty' doesn't cover the fact that my car is still leaking oil even though I asked for my oil leak to be fixed specifically. I was quoted $750 just to take the engine out to inspect even though my vehicle was under their warranty. I do not recommend this place at all. They do NOT do a good job and charge you a mistake they made.

Hearing some growling from the front. Thought it was wheel bearings, nope. Then became concerned that it might be the front diff. Without getting in to too many details. They took my truck in during a busy period for them, inspected it and notified me that my diff was fine but that my tires were cupped in the front and getting very worn in the back. Knew I was going to be in for tires sooner than later, so is what it is, but the best part is they didn't charge me for anything. I was at least expecting an hour for diagnostics. Bang up crew there. Look it up on Youtube, you get countless hidden camera episodes that focus on deceitful false advertising from auto repair shops leaving consumers feeling a little less rich and screwed to the max. HEARTLESS PIGS! Dave is a direct and a real genuine human in an undisguised mechanic body that will give your auto 'buddy' the right touch so that it's back on the road taking you from A to Z without having to worry, "Did they use the right oil, or was it Canola? Dang it! OMG, people without a vehicle at the moment do not know how lucky they are that the only thing they have to worry about is their presto card refills!!!" Like really people, we go through too much already to have to even fight this kind of battle!! You call this place up, already booking some days is quite tedious as their shop is humbly set up, enough for only a few vehicles at a time and the work is tediously done without the acquisitive approach on giving quotes on excess work you don't need at the moment. Without an appointment he lifted my car to take a look at what was wrong and proceeded to show me, in detail (and plain english) what was wrong with my brakes, exhaust etc. I knew I needed brake and exhaust work, and all other mechanics I visited gave me a rough estimate without explaining how, why or what specific work was required. Dave was happy to have me watch as he inspected my car, and then gave me a very fair estimate. When I picked up my car the next day, the final bill was actually less than he estimated, plus he changed the air filter (something he noticed that needed to be done while he was working on the car) Definitely a positive experience with a trustworthy mechanic in Toronto. Not the closest most convenient location to me (I live downtown), but just north of Finch Subway station (either walk or bus). I'll definitely be seeing Dave again next time my car has any trouble, and will be recommending him to family and friends.

Our 2005 Toyota Matrix had a transmission that was completely shot. We took it to them as my sister had a positive experience rebuilding her transmission there some time ago. They test drove the vehicle and told us the transmission was in really bad shape and that it would cost a lot to fix. They tried to source used parts to keep costs down, but such used parts are in short supply right now. Knowing right off the bat that it would be an expensive fix, they didn't bother actually looking inside (which would have cost us). Instead, they gave us various options and ideas/info and told us if we could find parts they would gladly help us by doing the work (quoted at a very fair and reasonable price). For all of their time and effort they didn't ask for a single cent - didn't charge us anything - and we left with a lot of helpful information and ideas/options regarding what to do moving forward. They could have charged us for a fix that is worth more than the car is worth, but they were upfront about not wanting to do this/it not being worth it. Very great people and a great business. Highly recommend. They deserve more than 5 stars!

I couldn't make Tuesday that week, that's why I scheduled Wednesday. They said they were going to be closed. Okay, reschedule me for next week, I can make Tuesday at 9:00am. I'll wait for my car because I'm coming in from Barrie. Okay, you're rescheduled. They text me on Monday to say I'm scheduled for Tuesday at 9:00am. Great. Tuesday comes, I'm there at 9:00am, nobody there to work on my car. 10:00am, still nobody to service my car. At 10:15 I decided enough was enough and asked for my keys, and left. What a waste of time. They just lost a return customer.
