We had an amazing experience with their service. I contacted them for an estimate, their response was almost instant. I had a quote the same day, and scheduled the work a few days later. Pricing was very fair for the work, and the crew showed up on time, worked quickly, and did exactly what I had requested. I would highly recommend their service if you need large tree cleanup & trimming. Call them for large jobs, you won't regret your choice. Great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. I highly recommend R&J Tree Service. Rick was quick to respond to my inquiry. Pricing was good. Rick's team, Kyle and Joe, were professional, had great equipment, and definitely were very experienced. They trimmed our 60 foot pine tree and removed/ground down 10 dead trees/shrub roots. Service was quick, easy and as promised. They cleaned up too! read more

Just had a trio of 12 ft cypress trees removed from my front yard (8-25-2025). Called Kyle on a Friday and he quickly arrived and provided a very reasonable estimate. Kyle and crew returned the following Monday and in 2 hours the job was complete. The guys were kind, very knowledgeable, and incredibly efficient. Amazing customer service... thank you. read more

Amazing Company! Rick gave me a quote in the morning and by early afternoon my two trees were trimmed and all debris was cleaned up and removed. Their price was reasonable and as I checked on them a couple times I noticed they were very careful not to damage my sprinklers, landscape lights or landscape borders. I would definitely recommend R&J Tree Service and I will not hesitate to call them again. read more

R & J Tree Service was at our home today to remove two huge pine trees. It was scheduled to be a two day job and they finished it today - fantastic! The crew was wonderful, "very" friendly and hard working. They actually left our property cleaner than it was before they arrived. I could go on & on about the great job these men did, but in closing I'll just say that if you're looking for an excellent Tree Service, please call R & J !!! read more

I have used R & J Tree Service for several projects. They are the best at what they do. From trimming my 30 foot Palm Tree, to handling thorny Mesquite, and most recently eliminating a precarious fruit tree on the side of our home. Not only do they remove the tree, but they clean-up the place better than they leave it. Great prices, and they're licensed and friendly. read more

We were so happy with the professionalism of R&J. They showed up when they said they would, they completed everything they said they were would, they were super polite and respectable AND were done before we knew it! The cost was ideal and we will be using them again. read more

These guys are amazing. They took a tree out for me a couple of years ago and pulled out a bunch of bushes and trimmed back some other bushes last week. My front yard looks fabulous now. Both times it was hard work, they worked fast and did a great job cleaning up. Prices were very fair and I found the company trustworthy. Highly recommended. read more

Very efficient crew. And cleaned up area after tree trim. I have used this company before and will use them again.

Great job on tree removal, fabulous clean up after. Recommend for any tree service. These guys know what to do

Mom and Pops needed to have three Joshua trees removed. Pops already got the permit and all I had to do was find someone to do it. I was in Phoenix looking for a service in the high desert and found these guys!! I called Rick and he was awesome!! He answered ALL my questions and was EXTREMELY helpful. I let him know that it would be a couple of weeks before I returned and he said it would be no problem. The day after I came back I called and he came out right away to give us a FREE estimate!!! I vote YES on that!! The estimate....TOTALLY REASONABLE!!! He let us know that the earliest he could do the job was a couple of weeks out. We were good with that. The crew show up ON TIME and were very polite and professional. LOVE THAT KINDA SERVICE!!! I ALWAYS yelp help and when I read the response Rick gave for a negative post, I wanted to see for myself. I get some people are unhappy with service and professionalism, but, I found it hard to believe that Rick was completely in the wrong. I asked all the questions I thought to be pertinent and Rick was more than willing to answer them all. He even had some answers to questions I didn't know to ask. I Above and beyond service.....ABSOLUTELY. What made me go with Rick and his company was the fact that he responded to the complaint. Yeah....that's correct...the way he responded!! I like working with people that are straight to the point. I agree...misunderstandings happen. Bad communication happens. HOWEVER....COMMA....there are ways to resolve prior to posting reviews. My thought is, if your unhappy with service, consider all the possibilities, and then take action. And if you've done your due diligence, you would know good deals vs. bad deals. And if your understanding is different than what was discussed, then it seems to me that there are ways to figure it out. Just sayin. My experience.....EXCELLENT!!! My neighbor asked what company we were using and we happily and confidently referred R&J. Neighbor needs a large pine removed. The young crew worked together like a fine tuned machine!! They were mindful of everything they did and everything they said. They called my Pops Mr. Sandoval!!! They removed all 3 Joshua's, stumps and all. And left the yard clean!! Thanks R&J!!! You and your crew Rock!!!!!! read more

I called R&J Tree Service and another local tree service. Both came out that morning and gave me a quote. I had a tree that was next to my driveway and it was just starting to lift up the concrete so I needed to nip it in the bud before it got worse. Rick gave me a better quote and was able to come out the very next morning. His crew of four or so showed up and removed one 30 ft Aleppo Pine. The stump was ground down to below surface level. They also trimmed seven other trees, per our discussion. These trees are over 20 years old. Most of the trimming was at the bottom but they also trimmed branches that were close to the top of my chimney. They showed up in the morning and were gone by around noon. He asked if we knew anyone would want the chopped up trunk, apparently many do. My wife called around and found a cousin that wanted the firewood. So he left it behind in my driveway. She is picking up her free firewood this morning. The rest of the trimmings were chopped up and hauled away. I found R&J as the only tree service listed in the classified section of the Victor Valley Daily Press. I checked to verify that his California business license was current and he was bonded. I also did not see any bad marks on the Better Business Bureau website. Overall, Rick was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and did exactly what I wanted, quickly, at a good price. He takes check or cash, no credit cards. We paid with check. read more

My husband and I had 7 trees total to remove from our home. Rick and his men were on time and had great knowledge of the job and the trees themselves that needed to be removed. It took two days and they cleaned up our yard wonderfully! We couldn't be happier with the results. They even cut the wood a good size for burning this winter. We will be calling for maybe more removals in the future but definitely to trim up our existing trees we kept. Thank you Rick and all four gentlemen that came to take care of us! We appreciated the hard work in such hot weather!!! read more

I have a big bushy pine tree in my back yard. The last time I had it trimmed was in 2016. It was pretty big then, but in the last three years one branch became very heavy, and finally split. I called R and J because of the good reviews. Well, every review was absolutely correct. I received a quote the very next day. For the amount of work that was needed it was, in my opinion, very reasonable. Today the crew showed up and did an excellent job. They thinned the tree and cleaned up all the mess. They even cut firewood for me. I was afraid the broken limb would make the tree look uneven, but the way they trimmed it, you wouldn't even know it was missing. I am extremely happy with everything. Thanks R and J. read more

I have been working on my front and back yard for the last two months removing old trees and bushes and replacing them with palms and cacti to conserve water and since they fit the area better. There were 5 stumps I could just not cut any lower and after weeks of trying and many trips to Home Depot, a broken chainsaw, sawzall, several hand saws, lastly an axe to it, nothing worked. We had spent a couple grand on rocks and plants and really did not want to hire help, but also just wanted these sumps GONE! Renting a stump grinder $160 a day and our stumps were still too high so this was also not an option. I called several tree services in the area and these were the only ones that actually answered the phone and were super nice. I got an estimate for $30 to cut the stump to the ground and they would be there in an hour! That was a no brainer for me and when they were here I showed them 4 other stumps and got those removed for $10 each!!! In half an hour all 5 stumps were gone, I feel like a complete idiot for trying to save money and wasting weeks of time and so much hard work. Don't be stupid like me and call R&J Tree service, they said they could have landscaped my whole yard (almost an acre!) for $3000. The service is great, they are fast, cleaned and took all the stumps with them! read more

I received so many quotes so I know that when the quote to remove my beast of a tree was accurate and reasonable. My tree was HUGE and when most didn't want to touch it, they said "no problem." They made quick work and cleaned up as they went with both rakes and high powered leaf blowers. They were friendly and courteous to me, and the neighbors while they were working. Highly recommend! read more

This company is awesome. Everyone I had contact with was very pleasant and professional. Rick responded to my call for an estimate of the job we needed done in a very timely manner. He also give us advise as to just trimming the trees or having them removed, we decided to keep our visiting birds happy and have the trees trimmed. A date was scheduled and the crew show up right on time, they did a great job. Everything was totally cleaned up when they were finished the only reason you could tell they had been here was the look of the trees. The price of the work was well under the other estimate I received which makes this a 5+star review. Also we are located at Silver Lakes Subdivision in Helendale, CA so he does travel outside of Lucerne Valley. read more

This is the second time we have used Rick @ R & J tree service. The first time, required removal of 5 HUGE pine trees in precarious positions to homes, fences and property lines. They took them down like artists. Perfectly executed, a real work of art. This time, we had multiple trees to be removed, again in tough scary locations near house and patios, fences, etc. They removed them perfectly. Not only are they very professional, Rick and his crew of 4 young gentlemen are polite, and timely. They do fabulous work at reasonable prices, and do what they promise. They leave everything spic and span, no mess to clean up. There are not enough good words to say about R & J tree service. 10 stars. Thank You very much. Victor & Pam B. read more
