It is more than just an exhaust shop. Greg is like the Corvette Guru! I take all of his advice and suggestions for my car seriously. They are not trying to just make money and leave you well enough that you have to come back. They will tell you if you need other services and not try to sell you something that is not necessary. I just had a most awesome and timely experience at R&J Custom Exhaust. I had been trying to find a good local muffler shop to have the exhaust on my 2012 Toyota Tacoma replaced. I called them around 9:00 am TODAY and they had a cancelation and were willing to take the truck in ASAP. Needless to say, I got there as fast as I could, the replacement was completed with no hassle and in 2 hours I was back on the street with a much better sounding and functioning exhaust system. This is, hands down, the best custom exhaust shop around. They have installed 3 exhaust systems for me. I had a complete custom exhaust design in my head for an S10 they brought to life, a full kit installed on a Firebird and a muffler replacement on a Z71 daily driver to give it a little grumble. I needed my exhaust fixed. I set up an appointment to come in at 8:00 am and that I would be waiting. When I arrived, I was told that there were 3 walk-ins ahead of me and that I could reschedule or leave the car. The reason why I said that I wanted to wait is that I have no transportation other than this vehicle and I did not want to use a rideshare to get around. Very poor service and do not waste your time with this business. They could have at least called me in advance to let me know of their backup before I came in. read more

I took my 99 suburban in to their shop 3-16-15 met with Robert he took a look told me to come back in about an hour. almost exactly an hour after it went on the life Robert and Toot had cut bent and welded in two new exhaust pipes with hand made slash cut tips to replace my old rotted chrome tips and all the pipework from the glass packs to the rear bumper. cost $220 Very fair price for 2015 and out within an hour Excellent shop I discovered through this Yelp site. Want to give a shout out about these guys. I had a stripped oil oil pan plug that I was told could not be replaced by 2 different shops. The fix was a new oil pan which has part of the exhaust in the way. It was recommended they I go to R&J because the could cut and re-weld the old exhaust. R&J could have done that for hundreds of $$, but they chose to tap a larger hole and put a new plug in. The fix plus an oil change, $180! Nice to do business with honest people. read more

I just picked up my 2008 Acura. It has over 150k miles on it. I had to have the rack and pinion replaced. Not an inexpensive repair. What I can say is that since I have owned the car, (I bought it with 30k miles on it), the car has never driven better. It feels like a brand new car! Justin was professional, courteous and kept me informed. Lots of times a woman takes their car to get fixed and the mechanic thinks they know nothing. I was not treated this way and I appreciate that. They are honest. I'll take my car back (hopefully not too soon though!) if I need it repaired again. read more

I was told by the Nissan dealer that I needed a new muffler for my truck to the tune of 400.00; I then went to a mechanic and he advised that the tail pipe was just rusted in to and recommended R & J. These guys did the work, excellent job and service. 50 bucks. Nuff said. read more

Robert has done custom exhaust work for me on and off over the years which makes this review long overdue. I just took my Ford van in and had him fab up a complete dual exhaust system for it. I told him what I was looking for, left the van and came back several hours later to pick it up. As usual, his work is second to none, neat, clean, precise, fairly priced and done exactly as I had wanted. No need to go anywhere else for this kind of service and quality workmanship--awesome ! I had them do work on my exhaust, and just asked them for a simple gasket and a few bolts. They decided to cut out half the pipe and custom fit a new one because the old one was "unusable". Don't get me wrong, they did nice work, but that cheap fix turned into a 150$ job that I wasn't prepared to pay for. I could've ordered the entire pipe (the one they cut) for 27$ brand new, but figured I'd give my money to a local shop because all I really needed was a new donut gasket. The quality of work was great, and I am happy with the quality of the finished product (not for the price though), but I am unhappy with the fact that they went in a different direction than what I asked without getting my approval. Had I known what they were going to do, I would never have agreed to paying 150$ for something I could've done for 30$ and had all new parts instead of pieced together welded pipes. Lesson learned, if you don't NEED something done at a shop, don't take it to one. read more

Good people. A father-son owned operation since 1985. Very straight shooters who made sure I knew the potential issues with the repair job before proceeding. They let me hang around and wait for the repair to be completed...by the end of the day we were swapping stories and joking. They took the extra time and care needed with my particular job to ensure it didn't end up costing me any more than necessary. These guys came highly recommended from a few people. I wanted a some custom exhaust work done on my 04 Audi A4. Essentially it was just new piping from the down pipe back, and welding in my mufflers I supplied. Over all the cost was decent, and the work was great.
