3.0 Stars Location…read moreOverview: You can find this establishment in the small shopping plaza next to HEB on Sherwood and Southland next to Nobilitea and Newk's Eatery. The overall layout of this salon is nice, there are not too many chairs set out for waiting for service. One of the main issues here is due to lack of the waiting area for services, people get lost in the mix of who is next and forgotten. Customer Service: The customer service here was good, it was just unfortunately when one of the techs could not do a design they would ask another tech to do it and I was left at a nail station for 15mins halfway into my nails being done and not being attended too. Quality/Quantity: After leaving almost three hours later the quality of my nails was fairly good. I do not have any doubts that the job could be done by any tech here, if so they will have someone that is capable to do so. Side Notes: I was a tad disappointed with this location due to being left with my nails halfway done for 15mins more or less.

Came here on 27 Oct 24 as a walk in. I'm a nail biter so I figured my nails wouldn't be perfect,…read moreand settled with a dip. The woman gave me tips on 6 of my nails, which wasn't something I thought of--so that was a nice surprise. However, no cuticle care was done. She basically went to work without cleaning up my nail beds. Also, her shaping was absolutely horrible. She was just rushing to get to the next customer. The photo is 24 hours after getting them done. It looks horrible. A basic manicure should and always has been the standard. I paid full price and didn't have time to complain about the crap service. I also left a tip...again, wasn't expecting a miracle...but I expected the basics. Never going back and not recommending to anyone.

The owner is very friendly and did a great job. Very easy going and conversational. Clean store and nice atmosphere. I'm saying this because my family used to run nail salons and worked for other nail salons on Arizona, Washington, and Oregon. Therefore, I have some background on what to expect within the nail industry.

My nail shape is unsymmetrical, it took 45 min to paint due to paint running and smearing a lot and still left with messy cuticles due to paint running. My original design was declined, and she said that the nail design was "for the city" which I'm guessing means the design I chose was better for someone more skilled than her. I understood and I'm glad she mentioned it. However, when I'd chosen a more simple design she still managed to mess it all up. I had a woman with short hair work on me and my sister had a woman with long hair. We both got manicures and pedicures. We were there for multiple hours. My sister's nails turned out slightly good but mine were all bad. The French tips are chunky, my nail overall is chunky, uneven application, and poor design choices. Additionally, my cuticles are sore. Plus, the lady kept dragging me all around the room and was quite rude and rough. Not relaxing or soothing at all. They also had this music on loop, so if you can't deal with repetitive sounds don't come here. I'm not even sure if my technician was properly qualified. She did awful nail art and couldn't make straight lines or a circle. If you're looking for a place to get plain old acrylics, that might be the only thing this place is qualified for.

She highly raved about this place and they did not disappoint. They offer wine and water and when we arrived they were not busy at all as it was early morning. Juan assisted in setting up my nails and was very friendly and communicative. Jenny then took over and finished the new set. My new set was acrylic with gel polish, almond shape and matte finish. The pricing was reasonable. My friends set was beautiful however there was some nail polish left on the skin of some of her fingers. We both got gel and they soak your hands in this bag of purple liquid that hardens and looks waxy. The liquid is nice and warm and leaves your hands really soft. However, I wish they would have asked if we wanted to take our rings off beforehand as they have some wax stuck in them. In the end, we were still very satisfied and the customer service and overall service was great. Jenny was very patient and did not rush on doing my nails. It was one of the few times were someone didn't make me bleed or burn me with the filling machine. I would recommend you give them a try!

I will still attest to the fact that I would never trust anyone other than Pam Medlin for my permanent cosmetics. She is such a perfectionist - there's no way anyone else could do as good a job. She always makes sure she has the right color for your skin tone/hair and that everything matches and balances to look very natural. She's given my incredibly straight eyebrows a perfect arch!! Her facials may be painful sometimes, but they are very productive and totally worth it! My skin is always glowing when I leave! Then there's all the gifts at the front... Ugh. I always want everything!! Last time I was in, I ended up with two bracelets, earrings, a candle, and some yummy lip balm. And that means that I wouldn't let myself buy the pajamas and make-up bag I wanted! I use Bare Minerals cosmetics so it's always easy to grab that while I'm there too. And as far as I know, it's the only place in San Angelo that offers it. (I'm not totally sure on that tho...) Overall, I totally love the Waterford! I wish I could spend more time there!
