Once I entered I was hit with pure nostalgia from the smell to the colorful decor. Even the slowing moving track oven was there so I decided to order the Italian on wheat. Perhaps one of the last ones in the United States I came here for the nostalgic reasons and whos goes to one of these anymore, you know? I use to come here multiple times around four or five years ago because I work in the area but the rumors were that it was a family owned shop, father and son were together most of the time and I've read reviews that they are always arguing over randomness in front of customers. That was not the case today, but it was definitely more expensive than I have ever imagined. I got a black Angus steakhouse sub on rosemary bread at 8 inches with a soda and a cookie. Total came out to $20! The sandwich is good, but what was really surprising was & I know everything has gone up in price with inflation, but that cookie was so small I had to take a picture of it. Also, the Coke machine was out of order one of the bathrooms was out of order, it look kinda messy and gross inside but it's an in and out type of place so I didn't think too much about it but it may be an issue for some. All in all will come back again for the sandwich because it's always been a good taste, good quality, but between cost and taxes, it was way too pricey. read more

My husband picks up food for us from this Quiznos often bc it's a convenient location, but this was my first time going inside here. I usually get a U Pair 2 (honey mustard chicken salad and a chicken carbonara flatbread) and my husband usually get the Italian sub. The lettuce and veggies are always fresh, which is generally how I judge these types of places. This Quiznos is very clean, and the guy making our food was super friendly and nice.. you could tell he really cared and wanted to make sure we had a nice experience. Makes me feel like I want to come back often because the service was great and it's not often someone at a fast food or sub place makes me smile. I checked in as we were paying.. and found it a little concerning that this place has such a low rating.. but after reading the low reviews, it seems 1 person had a bad experience and then had all their family members write poor reviews even though they didn't go.. I have made several attempts to eat at this establishment, and I use that word "establishment" loosely. Multiple attempts have ended in the incorrect order being handed to me. Today takes the cake. Horrible service. Every time. Getting past the disrespectful time, you have to wait to order a sandwich, watching the man not wash his hands after clearly working on something mechanical in the kitchen. I changed my order as soon as I saw that. No, instead of the sandwich I want to order, I order a soup. That way he doenst have to touch my food, and I don't have to spend too much money just to leave. Which I have had to done prior. I watched him scoop soup, put it in a bowl, then microwave it! The gentleman working is working the lunch shift solo and absolutely killing it, the receipt says his name is John E. Well done John E, well done! What a perfectly executed multitasker. This is something you cannot teach, this is an inherent skill and he's got it. He was welcoming everyone and listening to everyone...during the lunch rush... BY HIMSELF!! Wait times did not increase, he used his time wisely and effectively. I'm honestly quite surprised. I literally pulled up Yelp to write a review as I'm still sitting here because people like this and service like this is hard to come by. Especially in Miami. I absolutely love the Honey Bourbon Chicken sub here! Sometimes, I'll go for the peppercorn Caesar wrap which is perfect for a quick savory lunch. Their bottled drinks and fountain soda machine could use some sprucing but overall I never mind coming here. The Harvest Chicken wrap is a solid choice too for its savory sauce and crunchiness that brings heartiness to each bite. I always add a bag of chips to it and pie it with a bottled tea or juice. The prices are low and the satisfaction is high making this a great lunch spot to satisfy that rumbling belly. Despite the lunch crowd they receive, the line moves pretty quickly. I enjoy Quiznos Subs. And with very few locations in Miami I would make it a point to come to their location on Bird Rd. This location Use to be good. This location appears family owned. The past few times they had a relative working the subs. He's not only rude but not very well with his Hygiene. The last time I walked in to get a sub he appeared to be sick. Kept sneezing. As I watch him make my sub this guy turned his head and sneezed so hard! All while my bread was in hands!!!! Completely disgusting. This Quiznos is horrible. The owner/manager is trying to nickel and dime everyone. He tries to charge an extra $2 for adding lettuce and tomatoes to a sandwich. Nearly $13 for a 8 inch sandwich combo is outrageous. And then he tries to defend himself by saying that food prices went up and he needs to make up for it by charging the customer more. Never going back to this store. Highly recommend you don't either... PS: he went as far as thrashing subway and jersey mike's by saying they were inferior. I went to the quiznos on 71 and bird with my mom and dad for the first time. I usually don't eat sandwiches, but my mom ordered a chicken carbonara and I tried it only because I was hungry and they didn't take me to McDonalds. I almost never do this, especially because I know, from personal experience, that the food industry is incredibly difficult but my wife had such a horrible experience at this location that I felt compelled to write this. I know this is a Quiznos, not a five star french bistro but first off, the "restaurant" was dirty and disheveled. When my wife asked for more meat on one of the sandwiches they charged us and additional $9.00, which he did not tell her before she ordered. What my wife assumed was the manager/owner was incredibly rude to her and her brother. When she asked for lettuce the manager made a snarky comment to his staff member indicating that there wasn't enough "space" on the sandwich with all that "extra" meat. When my brother-in-law ordered, the manager didn't offer any lettuce or additional toppings and quickly covered up the oversight saying that the sandwich wasn't made with any other toppings. When the manager was packaging our meals he made a comment about how my husband must be a "big" guy to eat all that meat. All this happened while my wife was heading into her second trimester of a high risk pregnancy. I truly wish I was there to hear all this first hand, I doubt seeing my six-foot-two frame across from his little sneeze-guard would have elicited the same rude comments. I can say with the utmost certainty that we will NEVER eat there again and I will do everything in my power to ensure that none of my friends, family, co-workers or anyone that will listen my social media posts ever eat there again either. HORRIBLE SERVICE! I went today at around 7pm and the employee (think his name was Nick?) that served me was SO rude, also didn't KNOW ANYTHING. How can you not know anything about where you work at??? In his own little world, seemed like he wanted to just get rid of literally his only customer. I mean the place is empty, you have nothing else to do sweetheart! My sandwich was okay at best. Way too sloppy and the proportions were off, bread was rock hard. Wouldn't recommend or pay for a Quiznos sub again, specially not with employees that treat you like crap! Wish management would do something about it. As far as the food, its Quiznos, which I love. The restaurant is clean. Here was my last experience here though, and I do mean last: My friend and I had printed out an on line coupon for a buy one sub and drink, get another sub free. We bring it in and show the guy (who was the owner), and he says that he isn't taking the coupon because its a photocopy, not the original. We try to explain to him that since it is an on line coupon, there are no originals, but he acts as if we are doing something wrong by photocopying the coupon. After a few minutes he admits that it is his choice and he doesn't want to accept the coupon. Now we might have just accepted that as an answer if he had just said it from the beginning instead acting as though we had done something wrong. So we start to leave, and he says that he will honor the coupon, but as he is making our sandwiches goes into how the company's policies are unfair and he is losing money. Blah Blah Blah. After my friend pays, I feel a little bad for him, so I decide to purchase a cookie, even though I didn't feel like it. Now this cookie only costs $1.49, so I expect to get 51 cents back, which i will naturally put in the tip jar. However this dude takes the two dollars and closes the register and looks at me, like he is owed this money. I couldn't believe it. I know that 51 cents is not a lot of money but it is the principal, I was going to give it to him anyways. So, he really did just lose at least 2 customers over that, I am willing to drive somewhere else to get my overpriced toasted subs in the future. read more
