Got a meal and they gave us the correct kids meals but we realized they gave us a small meatball sub. Took it up together it corrected. They looked at us like we were in the wrong. While waiting on them to fix it we realized they added peppers and onions to the cheesesteak. When I took it up to get it fixed they questioned what was wrong now and had to check that that's what I actually ordered in the system. When they realized it was in fact them they made us a new one but took us 10 more minutes and then when we got it was cold. None of the workers were wearing masks and just all in general it was a horrible experience.

The guy waiting on us is very friendly and answered all of our questions in regards to food and drinks. Decent amount of beer on tap, and I love that they had the outdoor patio area outback. We went with the cheese dip and salsa appetizer, but in my opinion, it is a very small portion of cheese dip for the price. He did hook us up with a couple extra sides of salsa (condiment size), but I was not impressed with the price versus portion. Unfortunately, my Philly cheesesteak was a little overcooked which made the meat dry, but I tried my son's wrap and my husband sandwich too. They both tasted phenomenal. Next time I'm gonna have to make sure and try the wings because I kept hearing how awesome they were.

Others open, change names a few times, and then fold up. I say this to highlight that having a good diner in the small city of Fremont is not an easy task. This diner has kept the spirit alive, showing that the mantle of quaint throwback eateries is still burning. Breakfast food is consistently good, the sandwiches in particular are remarkable value. Also located next to a gas station and located on the edge of town if you're passing through. The owner also possesses a rare intersection of expertise in food service and business acumen. He also left the menus and the tray he brought our waters out on sitting on the table for our entire meal. We moved them behind us! We waited about an hour for our food. I ordered the 12 oz ribeye with mashed potatoes and green beans. I specifically asked for my food to be brought out hot because it arrived cold the first time. Instead of making it fresh, it appeared they simply put the same plate under a warmer and brought it back (which is fine I suppose). It was still only lukewarm, and parts of it were cold still but my plate was hot. My son ordered a full slab of ribs with fries. His ribs were only warm, and his fries were cold. If this location is dealing with staffing shortages, that's understandable--but please communicate that to your customers so they can decide whether they're willing to wait. What isn't understandable is waiting an hour only to receive food that isn't served fresh and hot. At that point, the wait simply isn't worth it. Sadly, I won't be returning to this location.
