This was located at Aksarben Village with a bunch of shops and restaurants nearby, but a cute little garden park area across the way. This was a big restaurant and got in less than hour before they closed. Inside is so spacious and had many plants inside for a cozy feel. We opted to take out though so we could eat outside on the picnic tables. The staff was so nice especially as they were gearing up to close down their stations. We ordered a family meal which whole chicken cut up and three sides (rice, potatoes, fries) and four sauces (garlic, chimichurri, bbq, and medium heat). Man, this was so good! The best sauce was really the garlic and medium heat. We will absolutely come back once we're in town again!

He was brandishing an open flame, which was a little spooky, but I swallowed my pride. He lifted his hood and resembled my friend Heidi. Next, he removed the open flame and stripped my shirt off. He started to RUB my sore womanly back muscles. I felt a little sting and cried sharply YOUCH!! He gently rubbed my hand to comfort me. He told me it would be okay, and that he loved me. I gasped with delight and then he brought me a rotisserie sandwich on freshly backed sourdough. Thanks for a great experience! I will be back. This is a picture of Heidi btw ,

Alright, I have no idea what took me this long to write a review for A Catered Affair, because it…read moremight honestly be my favorite overall restaurant in Omaha. They've been known for their catering forever, which means they buy in bulk, and when they decided to open up a café I was overjoyed. Now I probably visit 1-2 times a month (if not more), and somehow I love it more every time. The café is small and quaint, so it definitely gets busy during peak lunch and dinner hours, but it is worth the wait tenfold. Prices are fantastic thanks to their catering side of the business. You can even check out the counter with cold entrees to take home at amazing prices, and don't get me started on the pastries. Incredible, amazing. Get the lemon bar and thank me later. The café itself has everything you could want: drinks, adult beverages, coffee, salads, sandwiches, seafood, and yes, breakfast all day. I've been obsessed with their newer salmon orzo plate, which is currently around 22 dollars and would easily be 35-45 dollars anywhere else. Their appetizers are all delicious and actually filling. The Caesar salad is my favorite in the city and everything is scratch made. The owners clearly love their business and it shows. They're often out chatting with customers and making sure each visit feels top notch. For some people it might feel a little "out of the way," but for me in northwest Omaha I'm just grateful it is in my area, and either way it is absolutely worth the drive or commute. I could go on and on, but when you do go, say hi if you see me there, because there's a good chance I'll be at a corner table happily eating something.

Bow im a Chef and am a huge critic when it comes to food. My 1st bite immediately made me pull the waitress over and ask who the f*%$ made this. She got nervous and told us, but I told her it was the best burger I've had in over 10 years. The flavor is astounding. Cooked to perfection. My wife got The Corned beef Sandwich n fries, the corned beef is so tender and juicy and full of flavor. We give it a 9/10. Ty fuys for the hospitality on St. Daddy's day 2026!

It's a good spot for your good ol' fashioned bar food at reasonable prices with a casual atmosphere. There are a lot of booths that feel very private and tables sprinkled throughout along with some bar seating. There is outdoor seating as well although it's right on Dodge Street. Their menu is full of salad, burger and sandwich options with a few odds and ends thrown in. I've had many of the sandwiches and am always pleased with the portion and the flavor. All of the burgers and sandwiches come with kettle chips although they do offer a large variety of sides available at an upcharge. I always opt for the potato salad. We usually skip the apps as the mozz sticks seem to be just a basic frozen product and tortilla chips that can sometimes be stale. Servers have been efficient, never overly friendly but they get the job done. Now that I'm writing this, I'm leaning more towards 3.5 stars but it's a good spot for a quick, decent bite and some beer.

Star Deli is tucked away in Benson, and is open a bit later than other restaurants at all to cater to the scene of the strip. As a vegetarian, I greatly appreciate their entire list of veggie options, which allows me to feel unlimited in my options - unlike traditional sandwich shops that may have 1-2 veggie options. Star Deli uses creativity to cater to all types of sandwich desires! I tried the Jalapeño Popper this visit, switching it up from my traditional sweet potato sandwich order. As you can see from the photos, there was no skimping on my jalapeños, and they were crunchy and fresh! Not very spicy, but that is not something they can control without taking a bite of each pepper lol. This sandwich was flavorful and unique, and I would definitely order it again. The only worker quickly got 'cookin' once myself and one other customer ordered, delivering timely service without the rushed chaos of fast food as I saw him freshly chopping up the veggies. The local artwork on the walls and the location being in Benson, Star Deli is one of my favorite sandwich spots. A block away from a vintage store from the left and the right, bars nearby, coffeeshops, shopping, and ice cream, it really is prime for the day or night! I recommend the Jalapeño Popper, but with such a large menu, I will probably try something new next time, and so should you :)
