The bathroom was INCREDIBLE!! Perfection. White tile. Brass. Delicious. The onsite restaurant is terrible with poor service. Couldn't get a drink after 7. Really?? Avoid that place by the lobby. Deducted one star for that. Everything else is perfect. Would love to stay here again. Easy parking with the valet.

The restaurant staff preferred to stay away from guests and hide in the kitchen. We didn't realize it was open at first. When they did appear, food and drinks were awful. Not edible at all. Paid about $21 for the night. It was a little tight and took some time to figure out how to walk out after hours. They also have street parking but be weary about the signs/hours. Lobby was bright and had a lot of things going on. There is a bar, convenience shop, games, and TV's right when you walk in. Check in was pretty quick and the staff are fun and friendly. You also get poker chips to redeem for a drink at the bar or a coffee drink as well. We were on the 4th floor of the hotel. Room was a good size and clean enough. Bathroom was a good size as well but it has that sliding door that you can't lock. Really the main complaint we had was the bed was not too comfortable but it was one night so not a huge deal. Overall not a bad experience. Seemed like we were in a mostly quiet area an it was a nice place for a short stay.

I even received a complimentary drink certificate/coupon from the bar upon arrival from checking in at the front desk. My Queen hotel room was nice, spacious, and cleaned very well. A lot of electrical outlets for technology. The only complaints I have is that I did have issues with my hotel room card giving me access to the elevator after multiple tries. Also, it's a pet friendly hotel but there is barely any grass for pets to use the restroom on site or nearby.

If I have to complain about one thing, it is there is no tv menu and the tv doesn't offer an online menu too so I end up flipping the channels every night. I also didn't know how to use the phone. But dialing 0 gives you the front desk. Staff is responsive. They came up and brought me a hair dryer and to fix the window shade that was stuck. Rooms are quiet and I do like the window shades that keep to room dark at night. I also like how there is hot water coffee and ice water in the lobby. Elevators are fast! I would stay at this hotel again.

Okay I have to leave a review because this stay actually exceeded my expectations…read more We stayed at The Berkeley Hotel and I was a little unsure at first since they're in the middle of renovations, but you honestly wouldn't even know once you're in the room. The room felt super modern, clean, and updated, which I was not expecting in the best way. Also, the space. The room was big, which made a huge difference. It didn't feel cramped at all, and it was actually comfortable to relax and get ready. Customer service was also on point. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful without it feeling forced, which I always appreciate. The location is great too, easy to get around and close to everything without being chaotic. I didn't even take a ton of pictures (which says a lot for me lol), but I had to come on here and say this was 100% a solid stay. I'd definitely come back.

Our number on priority was location, and The One was beyond perfect. It's within walking distance of Richmond's greatest museums as well as the popular Carytown neighborhood where we spent much of our visit. When we arrived, Sean and Polly weren't at home, but we were provided with an access code to get in to the guest rooms. We were absolutely floored when we walked in. The One only has two guest rooms, which makes it the perfect place for privacy. Our room, The Dream Suite, is located at the top of the stairs and is beautifully decorated in shades of deep red. My only very minor gripe is that the bathrooms are no located "en suite." Instead, they are directly outside the rooms. So while each bedroom does have its own bathroom, you do need to leave your room to get to it. Not a huge deal since there are only two guest rooms...but you can't traipse to the bathroom naked at 2am, either! The parlor is located across the hall from the guest rooms and is not only a comfortable lounge spot, but is also stocked full of snacks and beverages. This is also where continental breakfast is served in the morning. The spread is pretty standard- muffins, bagels, cereal, etc. It didn't particularly suit my fancy (way too carb-heavy), but it's the type of breakfast my boyfriend loves. Sean and Polly were fantastic hosts; very attentive and friendly. Honestly, they were the best B&B owners I have ever interacted with. You can tell that they truly love what they do. We can't wait to go back to Richmond to spend another night at The One. Thanks to Polly and Sean for a great stay!

Parking was a breeze, purchasing tickets was easy, and we were able to shop in every single room of the Inn, which also essentially doubled as a tour. One of the owners was dolling out the samples and it was nice to chat with him. You could tell he and his wife put a lot of love into their Inn. I wouldn't hesitate to return for other events and will keep this spot in mind for future visitors looking for a B&B experience as well.

Overall this was a great stay!…read more My daughter was celebrating her birthday this past weekend and wanted to venture to Richmond with a few friends so it was my task to find a hotel in the downtown area that would accommodate the guests. I came across this suite about 2 weeks before checking in and it was still available within a week of check-in. The reviews I must say were a little bit frightening but I still went ahead and booked the two bed suite. Thiis was the only room that I could find available with the two bed option with a pull-out sofa as well and the half kitchen was a plus! Again overall the stay was good. The girls did mention a few stains on the sheets and in pulling back one of the bed sheets a ladybug was visible. I understand ladybugs are supposed to bring good luck so I wasn't too upset about that but again overall staying the weekend this past Friday night and Saturday night it was cool it was suffice the girls didn't have any other complaints. Breakfast was complimentary. Didn't use the parking garage but parking is available on site there is a garage and I believe it's $25 a day. Nevertheless, the check-in process was a breeze as well as the checkout process as well not sure the young lady that checked me in but she was to the point and everything was a 10 out of 10.... Just For Those few hiccups in the room. I do recommend this hotel but go at your own risk again the reviews ahead of time had me a little bit side-eyed, but overall glad we made this Choice! Have fun and enjoy life :)
