Just celebrated Galentine's at Quirk Lobby Restaurant. We went there for the brunch and the service was pretty good for one waitress to 11 of us. I had a vanilla latte which is sourced by Blanchard's Coffee which I think tastes great. I ordered the French toast. I would say that this breakfast could also be treated as a dessert. It will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. The ambience was very chill and I feel the staff did their best to accommodate such a large group.

I've been wanting to stay at this boutique hotel for a while. I love their lobby decorations.... you can see the bright lights from Broad Street! Staying in the hotel was not what I expected. Our room was set on 68° and it would only go up to 74....we set it, went to dinner and returned two hours later and finally it was comfortable. The shower was great and the bed was lumpy. We both woke up with achy backs. I'd return but not for an overnight stay.

What an adorable spot! I didn't get to stay here but I went to the restaurant and it was so nice. It had a cute vibe to it -- the perfect spot for a bridal shower or engagement or birthday party or even a baby shower. It is a gorgeous venue! There's also a rooftop bar as well. The food was delicious. I'm not too sure if parking is easy though as it really just seemed like it was street parking for the restaurant but I imagine the hotel has its own parking as well.

Service was very, very slow for an empty restaurant but the food was good. Special shout out to their delicious French fries and Vegetable Risotto. Another highlight were the drinks which were unique and yummy.

Stayed here a few times was great the first time we stayed here. But my vehicle was held hostage until the valet guy showed up that for work that day. I was definitely delayed an hour trying to find my car to get on the road. Kinda of annoying when you pay a lot to park here.

The prettiest hotel I've ever seen. It exudes cool girl energy with food and bars to match. Everything we tried was amazing and so fresh.

The Quirk Hotel in Richmond is such a charming and beautiful place to stay. I loved exploring the space because every corner had something creative and unexpected to notice. The rooms were cozy, comfortable, and so well designed, which made it easy to relax. The food was amazing, and I really appreciated how many vegan options were available. It is rare to find plant-based choices that feel this thoughtful when traveling, and everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. We had such a great experience and I would absolutely recommend Quirk Hotel to anyone visiting Richmond. I am already looking forward to staying again. If you love to travel and are always on the lookout for vegan-friendly spots, follow me on Instagram @postcardsfrommicah for more ideas.

Rooftop bar was nothing as advertised. Served drinks in plastic glasses... the same as water. Drinks were awful and they charged our credit card before anything was delivered to the table. Only positive was the art in the hotel.

Review of Lobby Coffee Bar: Whenever I travel I get up early and grab coffee at a local place. Today--I chose coffee in the Quirk Hotel lobby. You can always tell if a barista is worth his or her salt if they make a good black americano. I asked the barista, "how do you feel about americanos?" With a smile she replied, "I feel GREAT about americanos!" That's all it took. Her coffee matched her attitude. 100% recommend. Lovely atmosphere too.

I have never left a negative review before but as long as this guy is working at the Quirk hotel I will not be coming back. You hear about situations like the one I was involved in happening but I was appalled by this guys behavior. As you can see in the picture he would only pay attention and serve the young girls. I was sitting here for over 45min and it wasn't overly busy for him to not notice this. I asked these lovely older women beside me who were there before I arrived if it took them awhile to get service. They responded with "I'm not gonna lie we were here a pretty long time before he asked us". I continued to watch him serve the young girls and not pay attention to my fiancé and other older women around me. I jokingly said to them write down your orders and I will try and get them. Another bar tender over heard me say this and finally came over to serve them. Then this bartender in the photo refused to serve me because he stated I was yelling at him when in fact I never even talked to him. He gave my fiancé his beer and the check and refused to serve me. He continued to want to be argumentative with me and I refused to engage in his childish behavior. We spoke with the manager and she stated he has done this before and told us we could enjoy the view for awhile but she did nothing regarding his actions and behavior. It's unfortunate people act this way and I felt this needed to be shared and to stand up for what is right.

The property is stunning, and the consistent theme throughout is simply amazing, despite the use of pink, which is not my favorite color (lol). The location is perfect, and the staff is simply amazing! The sleeping rooms are large and comfortable, and the rooftop views are breathtaking! The Gallery is a must-see, and the bar bites are delicious! Quirk is definitely the place to stay! Although I was not in the hotel much, I would have loved to spend more time there. The staff was simply amazing, and the service was top-notch. However, I do have two minor complaints. Firstly, my bathroom was not cleaned properly. There was hair throughout the shower and on the floor. Although I tend to clean for my own sanity, this was one of the first things I noticed when walking into the bathroom. Secondly, on Sunday, I took advantage of Happy Hour, and I found the bartender, Rose, to be less engaging and friendly than I would have liked. She did not use proper utensils when retrieving items, instead using her bare hands. As a paying customer, I do not want someone's bare hands on my straw or lemons. When I saw her pick up the lemons with her hands, I immediately asked her why she was not using tongs or a toothpick. She appeared to have an attitude immediately after as if I had asked for something unusual, and she chatted with her colleague about it. I hope she corrected the error, as this is a cardinal rule in the food and beverage industry. IT IS SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE! The Gallery is absolutely amazing! The art by Bukuru Nyandwi is breathtaking and will leave you speechless! You have to see it for yourself before it's gone on September 15th! And let me tell you about the Pink Gallery - it's so pink and cute! You can find everything from sticky notes to stuffed animals, and it's all so bright and cheerful! You absolutely must check it out! Overall, I had a fantastic time at the Quirk, the jazz festival, and the sites of Richmond, and I cannot wait to share my experience with others! Enjoy your day and week ahead!

We loved our stay at the Quirk Richmond! We booked through Capital One Travel and received an early check-in and late check-out (make sure to check if they have this availability), a room upgrade, $50 credit experience credit for on-property venues (bar, breakfast, the gallery), and $40 credit for breakfast-only. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel's decor is fun and chic, the rooms are minimalistic with a touch of pink. We used our credit for cocktails at the bar, and they were delicious. The hotel is dog-friendly. Rooms are not very soundproof- we could hear dogs barking and people talking in the hallways. Valet parking is $30. The art gallery was nice to walk through and the gift shop had several cute items.

This is a review exclusively about the bar - it's SO PRETTY! Expensive but has some nice ~quirky~ drinks too. Feels like a gourmet fancy pants banquet hall, very high end and clean/modern. We really enjoyed our visit, and can't wait to visit the rooftop here when it is warmer. Wish we could have brought our drinks up there but they have a weird rule about it. Anyways - worth the trip :)

What time does rooftop bar open?

They open at 5:00pm every day weather permitting.

Does the rooftop bar offer any happy hour specials?

I've been to the rooftop twice and I don't remember there being any happy hour specials, but that may have been because the drinks are still expensive anyway! It's a great environment, but definitely pricier than most cocktail places in RVA.

The cucumber sandwiches were on brown bread??? The chicken salad sandwiches were bland and boring and were served on regular thick white bread. The desserts also lacked sparkle. The best were the tiny chocolate mousse tart, and the tiny rectangular fruit tart. The macrons were delicious and probably the best thing about the tea. However, the rectangular fruit tart did not have an expected glaze of apricot jam as is traditional. There were two cakes. One was chocolate, which was very fudgy and moist however, it really could have used a pinch of salt to bring its profile up to delicious. The other cake was a slice of either apple or banana??? Flavor so faint I couldn't tell. Neither of those desserts had frosting so can they really be called cake? There was a sugar cookie but I gave it to My friend so I can't speak to how it was. There was this little chocolate thing that was difficult to ascertain what it was supposed to be. I think it was supposed to represent hot chocolate with peppermint and marshmallows, but despite the peppermint and the tiny marshmallows, it was lackluster. The entire experience could have improved with printed menus with descriptions of what we had. There were two teas offered, the Jefferson and the Richmond blend. I had the Richmond blend. It was so splendid that I ordered some from their supplier. Overall, I was terribly disappointed. The beautiful venue had a slight effect on improving the overall experience.

I used to live in the Fan/Museum District, and I love this place because it is in such a good location, right next to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (which I highly recommend as well!), as well as walking distance to shops and restaurants in Carytown, the Fan, etc. We stayed in the carriage house the first time and the house itself the second time. Both were very cozy, with lots of amenities, such as bathrobes, bottled water, and coffee pot/tea in the room. The breakfast in the morning is phenomenal. It is made to order, with eggs, bacon, various rolls, oatmeal, coffee, etc. and served in the house's dining room. The staff is absolutely lovely and so welcoming. Another added bonus is that they provide tickets for admission to the special exhibit at the VMFA, as well as passes to get a free drink in their cafeteria. Love, love, LOVE this place. Highly recommend!

Our number on priority was location, and The One was beyond perfect. It's within walking distance of Richmond's greatest museums as well as the popular Carytown neighborhood where we spent much of our visit. When we arrived, Sean and Polly weren't at home, but we were provided with an access code to get in to the guest rooms. We were absolutely floored when we walked in. The One only has two guest rooms, which makes it the perfect place for privacy. Our room, The Dream Suite, is located at the top of the stairs and is beautifully decorated in shades of deep red. My only very minor gripe is that the bathrooms are no located "en suite." Instead, they are directly outside the rooms. So while each bedroom does have its own bathroom, you do need to leave your room to get to it. Not a huge deal since there are only two guest rooms...but you can't traipse to the bathroom naked at 2am, either! The parlor is located across the hall from the guest rooms and is not only a comfortable lounge spot, but is also stocked full of snacks and beverages. This is also where continental breakfast is served in the morning. The spread is pretty standard- muffins, bagels, cereal, etc. It didn't particularly suit my fancy (way too carb-heavy), but it's the type of breakfast my boyfriend loves. Sean and Polly were fantastic hosts; very attentive and friendly. Honestly, they were the best B&B owners I have ever interacted with. You can tell that they truly love what they do. We can't wait to go back to Richmond to spend another night at The One. Thanks to Polly and Sean for a great stay!

He recommended several events going on when we told him we were in town for the concert that we might like and was very friendly and personable. Room was a suite with separate sitting room, mini fridge, microwave and bathroom. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast was free (and one of the selling points we looked for when booking) from 6:30am-9:30am and consisted of usual fare: Omelets, pancakes, sausage, cereal, bagels/muffins, yogurt, fruit and juices/coffee. Only real downside is its not the most up to date room wise and felt kind of cold with large industrial doors. Not a huge issue for us, but others might knock it. Parking is also a bit of a tight squeeze, located under the hotel on the ground and level 1. We drive a sedan and had some issues getting out of the car with other cars/SUVs parked close. Doable but it could use respacing.
