VCU Alumni Award Ceremony in the Loft space- October 2021 Photo by Jud Froelich

I have been as a patron a few times! The Rooftop has a great view and lots of seating. I worked with the Hof on an event in the loft space. The team was easy to work with and they had everything set up for us when we arrived. It was the perfect space to have family style meals and be spaced out to observe COVID-19 precautions. We ordered a lot of food and it was all delicious. Everyone seemed very happy with the selection they had. I would recommend using the loft space! The main hiccup we had was the parking lot we rented through the Hof was hard for our guests to find. I would highly recommend offering valet or having signage.

    The best bar Keeps!

Harry's 28 is coming and you need to be here as soon as it opens! Marcus and Kayla are fantastic. Some of the best, most entertaining bartenders we've ever had!! The decor here si amazing! This place has so much charm from the industrial style walls to the awesome art on the walls. If you like a good cocktail this is not your place. a GREAT cocktail?! This is the place for you!! Come and enjoy! And then come again

Love it here! I'm surprised I hadn't reviewed it yet. There's the Hof garden, 2nd floor event space & dark room, and the roof. I only haven't been to the dark room surprisingly -- but heard they have really good craft cocktails there! Hof garden has great music after 10pm. Never too crowded, and the bartenders are so nice! 2nd floor is spacious and perfect for events, especially since you can go back and forth between the different floors/bars. The roof is great during the warmer months. Last visit I ended up ordering food cause I was a bit hungry and tried the pizza. Much bigger than I expected! And it was delicious.

Rooftop bars are the in thing, and RVA social scene is taking off with a bang! The Hof Bldg is so easy to get to (just get off the Pulse 'Scott's Addition' stop) ... the place gets busy early, so finding a shady spot may be a tricky... but there are lots of seating options. The bar/wait staff are friendly and quick to bring you are refreshing beverage and/or eats. I have been here twice, both before the evening crowd, so have missed the lines... keep that in mind. I have not been disappointed... I will definitely be back!!

I am so excited for this historical gem to finally get a makeover! Hofheimer was a very famous rug company and this building is as historic as much of Richmond itself. The owner even purchased some of the leftover construction items the Mosque theater was built with. Though, that's a Richmond rumor. Either way, this beautiful space has a new facelift to bring her current to stand strong with Scott's Addition at her backside. The rooftop bar is exceptional- and currently only opened on Thursday's for preview of the event space. However, they are extending that preview through the month of June (so get down and take a peek - it's free to get in!). The views of the city and Scott's addition make this a great spot for anyone who wants to grab a drink with friends and dance to the DJ spinning dance grooves. As posted, they will be having food served later and VIP access! The potential for this building is as wonderful as the building itself. With the expanded spaces both on the second and third/rooftop level, there is so many uses for this space. If you have a wedding or corporate event, this is a great location to consider. With ample parking and spectacular views, there is a lot to look forward to. The staff that currently run the events are exceptional and the renovations are as industrial chic as you can find in this area. It is a must see!

We got these cool T-shirts!! :)

I enjoyed this venue because of the floor plan, various events can be happening based on floor level.

Don't be confused by the name, The Valentine. This 19th-century home was purchased in 1898 by Mann Valentine Jr. who added a museum to the property and renamed it The Valentine. My visit was part of a dual tour with the John Marshall House (treason trial of A. Burr). The tour started promptly at the appointed time, and we began our tour of the home. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the Wickham house, the family and the history of that time. Her tour was much more than a simple recitation. She brought the home to life through her descriptions, easily fielded questions and encouraged discussions. We all gained a clear picture of life at that time as well as the role that John Wickham played in history. The house is kept in beautiful condition with many examples of how the family lived, from clothing to imagined food out on the table. I was truly impressed by the beauty of the home. After the tour we were able to meander through the museum that is a part of the property. It is an interesting stroll through Richmond's history from the early 1800's to the present. I would definitely suggest a visit here if you are a history fanatic. Check out your options for parking before you get here (I parked in one of the local garages and spent about $15).

The toilet ran after flushing unless I went back and gave the handle a little jiggle. There were no electrical outlets in the bathroom -- none! I had to plug in my electric toothbrush on one of the nightstands. There was a double electrical outlet at the desk, but the refrigerator plug covered part of the second outlet, so I had to unplug the refrigerator to plug in my laptop. (Fortunately, I had no need for the fridge.) The room was chilly when I got there, but I couldn't figure out how to set the HVAC for heat. The only plus was that the bed was very comfortable. But that was not enough to make up for all the other shortcomings. I do not recommend this hotel. It is very expensive and not anywhere near worth it.
