The home dates back to the mid to late 1800s with a barn nearby. The wedding we attended yesterday had the ceremony in the barn. It was truly a special place with light filtering in through cracks in the wood. After the ceremony the guests made their way over to the reception area on the far side of the house. A tent connects with the house, allowing guests to travel back and forth under cover, which was important yesterday as there was a bit of rain. There are beautiful grounds including a gazebo and a fire pit. The staff was very attentive and the food was great. There were about 190 people at this wedding and it never felt crowded. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

During the reception, my wife needed to go to the rest room. We discovered that there is no wheelchair access to the house where the restrooms are and the restrooms themselves will not accommodate a wheelchair. We had to carry my wife up the stairs to the bathroom. When I asked the owner if he'd consider putting in a wheelchair ramp, he copped an attitude and said "Ain't gonna happen", "It's never been a problem until now." If you have anyone in your family with functional needs or are elderly and need wheelchairs or walkers, I'd AVOID this place since the owner doesn't see the need to meet ADA compliance standards. UPDATE - They now have wheelchair access to the main house.
