When you first walk in , there's a dining and bar area. Then up on the second floor is the event space, The room I set up in was the Library. I put the balloon garland up against one of the wall bookcases and the client loved it. I have got to make time to come back as a patron and experience the place.

As a member of the jury, we analysed witness testimonies, cross-examinations, and forensic evidence in a search for the truth. The case involves the accidental death of a pedestrian by an autonomous taxi vehicle and the subsequent man slaughter trail of the AI's developer. The bathrooms were also nicely decorated and everything just looked brand new and well maintained. It's a large space with a foyer at the front that was being used for food. I loved how the food was separate from the event so the caterers could do their thing and not disturb the event. The venue is also equipped with AV which was useful during the event. This is a really great event venue and I'd recommend it for folks looking for a modern space to host their next event.

Great Spot to Hang Out & Chill…read more Conex RVA and RVA - River City Smash Burger offer a unique and beautiful venue with plenty of space to bring friends and family and enjoy a relaxing afternoon. The atmosphere is one of the highlights, with an excellent selection of craft beers and some great cocktails to complement the experience. On the food side, expect straightforward smash burgers and street food--nothing overly fancy, but satisfying and fitting for the casual vibe. Overpriced for the quality of meat and serving. Service can be a bit hit or miss, especially when the venue gets crowded, so don't expect the same level of attention during peak times. Parking can be a challenge if you visit on weekends. Remain resilient. Overall, it's a great place to hang out, have a few drinks, enjoy some casual food, and chill with good company.

For a 32,000+ square foot mansion (that was originally built as a single family private home) the space is immaculately and meticulously clean and maintained to the highest standard. I did not see a single speck of dust, no cobwebs on the soaring ceilings, or stain on any upholstery. The mansion also did not feel austere or cavernous despite its size; on the contrary, it is absolutely bursting with some of the most beautiful, unique, and at times strange but wonderful decor. For example, the game room has both billiards as well as an extensive and exotic big game taxidermy collection, whereas the adjacent two-story library boasts a hand carved fireplace and a spiral wrought iron staircase. I spent most of my evening exploring every room and trying to take in as much as possible. The multitude of staff who serviced our event were both warm in their interactions as well as discreet when necessary. The in-house catering was also very good. We had a tortellini station, a raw bar, breads and spreads, as well as passed hors d'oeuvres and a dessert station, and I enjoyed everything I tried. My only regret is that Dover Hall doesn't seem to do open house hours or guided tours, because I would love to be able to return and see more of this remarkable building.

It was truly a special place with light filtering in through cracks in the wood. After the ceremony the guests made their way over to the reception area on the far side of the house. A tent connects with the house, allowing guests to travel back and forth under cover, which was important yesterday as there was a bit of rain. There are beautiful grounds including a gazebo and a fire pit. The staff was very attentive and the food was great. There were about 190 people at this wedding and it never felt crowded.
