I was hesitant to buy from this dealership because of their terrible reputation, but I went there with my son one afternoon because it's close to my house. There was a jeep there i liked, I test drove it and liked it, so i leased it. I had several problems with the computer system in the jeep, and never got any definitive answers from the dealership what was wrong, except, "be patient, it may be slow at times" I turned my jeep in early, as jeep was "hounding" me to do so. But i went to a Mercedes dealer, and ended up leasing a hybrid from them, for a very very good deal, for a beautiful car. Obviously. there was 1 payment left on the jeep, and the dealer usually pays the last payment. QUIRK JEEP OF BRAINTREE REFUSED TO PAY, STATING, " WE DONT OWN THE CAR" I said "I don't own it either, it's usually a courtesy that the dealer pays it off. I wanted to wait a while before writing this review. Last year I brought my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee in with a bad blower motor. My wife scheduled the appointment against my wishes as I wanted to do the work myself, but she was in a hurry. Long story short Quirk Service quoted me an estimate of $920 to do the job. $400 for the motor alone and the rest was labor. I told the guy at Quirk this is a 25 minute job. He said "no it isn't". I told him I did this job before and he looked at me with a blank stare. He knew I was right. So I waited 1 year and the blower motor finally failed. So I bought a new genuine Mopar motor last week for $157 on-line, a new cabin filter for $12 and a new 40 amp fuse for $7.00. The total for parts was $176. Keep in mind these are retail prices and Quirk would get the new blower motor for even less than I did! I got the job done in under 30 minutes and it works great. Even if Quirk matched my cost on parts they were trying to charge me 3 hours of labor for a 30 minute job. Keep in mind I am not a professional mechanic and I got this done in less than half an hour. Quirk has done work for me in the past and their mechanics are great and do good work. Their service department has some dishonest or incompetent people working there who inflate prices. Plus, I use Car Shield to help cover the costs. The service rep says they no longer accept Car Shield. I asked since when? The service rep said "oh a couple of years". This was another lie. Quirk accepted Car Shield a few months earlier for me for another repair. I suspect Car Shield was holding Quirk to account for their inflated estimates so they stopped accepting them. I do not like being lied to or given BS answers by dishonest service reps. I will not bring my cars there for repairs and will not purchase another vehicle from them again. read more

Awful experience with the Braintree service department. I wanted an oil change and inspection of the some noises coming from the tires and the rear. I dealt with Jeff. Very soon I get a quote for $9,700.00 that included a number of unnecessary items, like new tires, rear axel differential and both axels etc. I save the quote for anyone to see. The car is 2018 with 30K miles. I asked Jeff what does this quote say about Jeep quality. Answer was first silence and then recommendation to "see our sales department for a new car." What a level of arrogance! Unbelievable! I tried to negotiate price down and eliminate some items but the 'discount" was non existent. Jeff even stated that they use only OEM parts while their written quote indicates otherwise. In my honest opinion this is an unethical, rip-off kind of business that needs to be avoided at all costs. read more

Can I please give a zero rating? A truly awful dealership and experience trying to buy out my lease. If you can, go somewhere else and only come here as a last resort. Eric, the manager, is rude and overly confident and has absolutely zero understanding of customer service. I was trying to buy out my lease and their inability to get a payoff quote caused me to be late on my payments. I followed up nonstop. When I finally sent them close to $20k to pay off the lease, they said everything was all set. I called a week later to check on status and they hadn't even sent the money to Ally. Just baffling. Eric once said to me "everyone wants to be in the car business, but it's not so easy." LOL Eric, no one wants to be in the car business and it IS pretty easy to just make a call to find out a payoff amount and then press some buttons to send someone's money to pay off the lease. He constantly told me they were doing this as a favor to me... like how is that possible? It's literally a part of your job and I leased the car from your dealership and was considering getting another car from you too. It is your job and you're not doing favors. This review is about the Quirk Jeep service department in Dorchester. Scheduled an appointment to have my Jeep serviced. Basic check-up and brakes seemed rough. Dropped car off around 7:30a for a confirmed 9:00a appointment and planned to leave the car for the day. Jumped in a Uber to head to work. After no follow-up call from the service department, I called the service department around 4:00p to check on the status. No one available to talk with. Service department called about 1/2 hour later to let me know they have not gotten to the car today - another words the car literally sat at the dealership for the entire day - 9 hours and no one even looked at the car, no one even thought to call me before this to even let me know they would not get to my service appointment when promised - which was at 9:00a or throughout the entire day. Their only explanation was I can leave the car overnight and they would get to it tomorrow morning. Incredibly inconsiderate of the time, energy, effort and expense to drop off a car first thing in the morning for a confirmed appointment, without any sort of update at all until I called them at the end of the day. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022 Jeep Compass vehicles. The instrument panel center cluster display may be insufficiently illuminated and may not appear visible during daytime driving conditions. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays." This has been going on since last year, it's a huge safety issue and Jeep has done nothing to correct this. I have asked to return the car and get another one and nothing has been done. My next step is to reach out to Lemon Law and report this Don the service manager has been wonderful during all of this but DO NOT buy Jeep they don't stand behind their automobiles. read more

I went in for an oil change and had a horrible experience! Checking in was easy, told me what they would do any recalls. My vehicle has peeling on the fender, still under warrenty! Upon checking out they said, it was not covered, I questioned this and the service manger said, " he took a picture and sent it to the Mopar Warrenty unit that said it was not covered" . Well I called Mopar and this is 100% a lie!! Mopar said, the dealership decides what is covered, again he lied 100%. They advised our vehicle is still under warrenty and to go to a different dealership. When I went to take a picture they had made the small mark worse, by peeling some of the paint away. The service manager said, something was put on the paint that caused the cracking. I would becareful using this service department!! read more

I was told there was only a select few local roads I could go on and that the highway was not an option. BRUTALLY BAD EXPERIENCE Had a real simple appointment scheduled for 11AM. Have 2 new keys with a key-less entry for my 2007 Jeep Sahara Wrangler. Call a few days prior and verified they could do the simple project. The service dept needed 20 minutes to verify and would call me back. Called back and said yes we can schedule the appointment. Whoever he spoke with said they have the parts to complete the job. Showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment. I said I was here to have 2 keys made for my Wrangler. He said I don't think we have those keys in stock. I said I called and verified this couple be done today. I will check the inventory he said. None in stock. REALLY! When can you get me the keys? It would take 5 weeks! WTH! I can walk to Detroit in 5 weeks. Can you find a dealership that has the inventory? One in Marshfield has 1 key. I need 2 keys. I only have this one old key that is having issues. I don't want to be in the same predicament I am in now. You need 2 keys in order to program the alarm system. HOW RIDICULOUS IS THAT! After I expressed I was really upset that I wasted my day. The serviceman said it is only a few hours and not the whole day! Where do people come from? Apparently, his time has ZERO Value. This fraud and theft by the Quirk dealerships began for me less than two years ago when I purchased my 2012 Chrysler 200 from the dealership. I was told the car is in great condition and it had relatively low mileage (under 70k) so it was sold to me for over 10k. I have since placed around 15k miles on the car and never been in an accident, which is why I was surprised when all of a sudden about a month ago, the car stalled on me in the middle of the highway (and later had intermittent horn and wiper problems). I got the car towed and checked by two shops who were unable to diagnose it, so they suggested it may be tied to Chrysler's Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) as that is something only a Chrysler technician/dealership can diagnose and fix. I took the car to the Quirk Chrysler dealership and was told that fixing the problem would require replacing the clockspring, horn pad, wiper switch, and windshield wiper motor as well as the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) Module and that it would cost over 2k. Out of curiosity I checked how much they would pay me if I sold them back the car and was told they would only give me 1k, even though I purchased it from them less than two years ago at over 10 times that price, had put relatively few miles in, and was experiencing issues I wasn't told to expect. I had specifically mentioned the problem could be the TIPM based on what I had heard and read online and was emphatically told by Matt, who has been servicing my vehicle, that it is not the TIPM and that it is "100% just the issues [he] told me about". He also said the car looked good for its age. So, with the agreement that the car would be fixed and have no other issues in the foreseeable future, I agreed to pay over 2k to have the car fixed. Fast forward about two weeks and Matt calls to tell me the TIPM is actually part of the problem and is charging me close to another 2k to fix it. I explain everything I've explained and get no real solution. I'm also told they can't undo their work so I can only pick up my car by paying the over 2k I agreed to pay to have the car completely fixed, only they didn't fix it. So, this dealership is basically holding my car hostage. They sold me a car that was on its last legs after telling me it is good, promised they could fix it for a certain price, then asked me to pay twice that to really fix it, and are now only letting me get my partially worked on but unfixed car if I pay what I was supposed to pay for the fixed car even though it isn't fixed. I really wish things were different but they aren't willing to do that so please avoid this dealership (and any owned by Quirk) unless you want them to take your money and peace of mind. Even if you think you got a good deal, they probably found (or will find) a way to scam you. They may not care about me as just one person, but if enough of us bring our business elsewhere, we can all find better and fairer treatment. I'm sure any extra time you spend researching another dealership to go to will ultimately be worth it. Otherwise, Quirk dealerships will continue to make money off of people's misery. read more

Well..... I am picking up my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Hawk on 6/10/19. Billy Wong took good care of me over there and I got a very fair deal. Just about as good a deal as I got from Sam, when he was over there in 2008 :). This will be the 4th Jeep I bought since 2002. They are obviously great vehicles and they are made here in the US (at least most of it). I highly recommend dealing with the folks over at Quirk. The new showroom is very nice. So much better than the one when I bought my last Jeep in 2011. A few months back I had 3 recalls done on my 2011 Cherokee that I was sitting on for a while. I forgot the service guy that took care of me, but he was great. The only thing I don't like is that when I had to leave my Jeep for the recalls, it was going to take a day and I had to rent a Jeep on my dime. I'm only talking $25, but from a loyal Jeep buyer, I would have hoped for a loaner. No big deal though. read more

My experience at Quirk Chrysler/Jeep in Braintree with salesman Jason Fineberg was the best car buying experience I have ever had! I walked in and was immediately greeted by Jason, which I very much appreciated. I told him the car that I was interested in, the ad that I saw, and my strict budget. Jason was straightforward with a no BS attitude and I appreciated that very much. A lot of time, buyers are tricked into going to a dealership only to find out that the ad they had seen had many strict stipulations that they do not qualify for. IMMEDIATELY Jason said "ok lets go over the details and the fine print of the ad before we get further into this to see if you qualify for what you are looking for" ...thankfully, I did. He did not drag me out into a back and forth negotiation and then switch bate on me and try to offer me another deal like most car dealerships do! Jason is also very respectful and easy to talk to! He was patient , funny, and took time to answer each and every single one of my questions (trust me there were a lot of them) with very informative answers! Best part- Jason did EVERYTHING to make sure that my deal ran smoothly. I went in on Sunday to test drive the car, and was picking up my car by Monday after work! He spoke directly to my insurance agent, got my plates and my inspection ready, made sure that my car would be finished with the detail so I wouldn't have to wait when I walked in and stepped away from his current client momentarily to congratulate me , hand over the keys and do a last run through of the details of the car. SO easy - no hassle! Jason, thank you so much for your kindness, your respect, and your honesty. I will be bringing my mom in next month when her car lease is up and we will definitely be making an appointment with Jason again. A "Not good" rating is vastly overstating the experience I've had with the service department at Quirk Chrysler Jeep. Having purchased a brand new 2021 Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid from a different Chrysler dealership in Massachusetts less than two weeks ago, my wife and I were obviously surprised and disappointed to find out the charger did not work properly. Residing in Braintree, we reached out to Quirk Chrysler Jeep hoping to establish a long-lasting relationship with them as our local dealership. Instead, we've found that they have no interest whatsoever in servicing cars under warranty with Chrysler. When we first reached out to QCJ, they advised us that they only have one team member qualified to work on hybrid vehicles and it would be a week and a half before they'd be able to even look at the car. We kept the appointment but decided to take the car back to original dealership in the meantime. The original dealership found a bent pin in the charging port and realigned the pin. Unfortunately, after a few days we found the charging port still didn't work with commercial charging stations, so we kept the appointment with QCJ and took the van to them for additional troubleshooting. Upon looking at the car, the service department at QCJ decided that the original dealership had broken the charging port (which we had of course taken to them because...it was already broken!). QCJ refused to work on the car claiming it was no longer covered by warranty because of "poor workmanship" by the original dealership. So...two week old car...broken charging port that QCJ decides to blame on another dealership's service rather than performing the service themselves. It's apparent QCJ has no interest whatsoever in performing warranty work. We'll obviously be following up with the BBB and the State Attorney General's office. I sincerely hope that this review saves someone from wasting their time taking their to QCJ. For that matter...please, please don't spend your time or money on a Chrysler! read more

After being told we are all set! The co signer is going out of town tomorrow I asked if the runner for the dealership could bring the paper work to us and she could sign it. I can't even give this place a one star. I bought a Jeep SRT in FL and just moved back. I noticed one of my carbon trim pieces popped and cracked. Talked to Chrysler and they said it was a know problem and they were going to give a $2000 good faith warranty credit on all carbon trim pieces with only a $25 deductible and it didn't matter if the car was in or out of warranty. I went to talk to the service manager on 2/26 in the morning and he said he couldn't help me. He said he might help me if I had bought the Jeep with him. I was so turned off by this guy. Terrible customer service from their Service department. My first visit back in 2010 was great, but they decided to clean my throttle body when I asked for the manufacturer recommended service at 10,000 miles in 2011. When I asked why, they said " it's our recommended service at 10,000 miles." I specifically asked for the service that recommended in the manufacturer's manual, which basically nothing - rotate tires and other small stuff. In 2012 I brought my Wrangler in for a first gear recall and the work was pretty shoddy. Additionally, they said it would take 3 days, but it took 7 - they never once called to say the work was delayed, I had to call them. After that experience, I never went back. Now fast forward 5 years and my check engine light just came on. I figured I'd give them another shot since it's been so long - maybe the service/customer service had improved? Nope. I called and they told me there was a non-negotiable $120 charge just to plug in and pull the codes for the check engine light. The reason given was to protect them from me getting the codes and going somewhere else to have the work done. I had full intention of getting the work done there and asked if the $120 fee would be waived if they did the work. Short answer: no. I called Quirk Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Marshfield and they explained they would only quote the fee if it was a complicated diagnostic - like a computer/electrical issue that required extended inspection beyond simply pulling the codes. Totally understandable since the technician needs to be compensated for that labor. I was pretty sure this would be a simple diagnostic so I made the longer drive to Marshfield. The tech pulled the code and told me what was wrong in about 5 minutes. They had the necessary parts in stock and got me back on the road in about 2 hours - with no mandatory $120 diagnostic fee. I've been to the Quirk Marshfield location a few times since it opened and I've been blown away by the customer service considering it's the same parent company as the pathetic Braintree location. I will never go back to Quirk Braintree ever again. I've given them multiple chances over an extended period of time and they've provided overwhelmingly bad service. I'll gladly drive the extra miles to Marshfield to get trustworthy service from trustworthy people. read more

Went here for an oil change and tire rotation. Has low psi in back rear tire. First told me I needed 4 new tires (I have 18000 miles on jeep). Said I need to replace all 4 at once. I said I'm good. Tires were fine. Then after he made me wait in waiting area for 20 minutes so he can get paperwork together, he came back and said there's a nail in one of the tires (the one with low psi). Said he needed to be replaced (($300) because they can't patch it. I asked to show me the nail. After waiting 20 minutes he came back and said they can't find it. They were wrong. They "thought" it was a nail. But apparently now I could replace just one tire ? First I was told can't do that, need to do all four. Great service. The team at quirk jeep were so helpful. Had my vehicle in here several times for service and all my concerns were addressed and process explained perfectly. After reading some of these other reviews I am very surprised. Will be doing all my service here from now on. Just an added note that I had an issue that the Manager mike helped me with and went far beyond to help me. Turns out the problem was of my own doing when I added an aftermarket electrical device. Not worth dealing with them. I leased a car from Quirk Jeep recently (end of 2018). During the deal negotiation, I asked them what to expect as tax payment due to my lease? the response was that I am responsible only for the sale tax, nothing else. And now I have been charged property taxes that I didn't expect just because of their dishonesty. You should be honest and respectful in your interaction with people, don't get mad when people say that a dealership are liars 99% of the time. read more

My sales man Rafael Mejia was fantastic! He was patient with me the whole time and was sooo informative about the vehicle that I was interested in. He did not try to "upsell" me anything!! I told him what I wanted and he ran with it. Other than a blip with the finance guy (could have been me too since i was hangry-lol) everything was pretty smooth sailing.
