I was excited to dry Quincy's after many word of mouth reviews from some local friends. I went for their famed filet mignon special. It was charred on the outside and raw on the inside. I sent it back, hoping they would recognize that this was not medium, but try the same one came back, charred (further) outside, and overdone inside. The salad, baked potato, and desert (turtle cheesecake) were all excellent. I'm thinking maybe my experience was flukey, but I don't need to go back. read more

We stopped in for an early dinner on our way to the Desert Reef Hot Springs. We were the the mood for steak and lucky for us that's your only option here. Interesting concept done well. Been going to Quincy's in Florence Colorado for over a year. The first time was EXCELLENT!!! The second time was excellent!! But after that it seemed to go down hill. Last night, March 4th, 2023, was absolutely TERRIBLE!!!! My Matgarita was so strong, I could not drink it. Sent it back to be toned down 3 times, before I finally just quit trying. Our meal arrived quickly. We had ordered MEDIUM, for our Prime Rib! Both were practically RAW. I sent mine back, to cook it a little longer. It came back barley brown, and still raw in the middle. Both if our steaks were so tough we couldn't chew it. Brought more than half of what was left, home to my dog!! $60 for a salad, baked potato, and a dried up roll!!! Waitresses were all good, until a young man came in, and one at a time, spent the rest of our time there, flirting, and rubbing his back and arms!!! We had to ask TWICE, to get our ticket to pay. Would have spoken to the manager, but she was suddenly no where to be found. We just left quickly. And will NEVER go back!! Poor review!!! read more

Having grown up in Colorado, we have never spent any time in Florence, even though we have a rustic family cabin 30 away. We decided to visit Quincy's on a weekend away. I must say, I'm sorry for some of the reviewers who did not have the experience we did. First of all, walking through the front door we were greeted with a warm welcome, served by a very kind and friendly server (Cheryl). We came on a Friday which was Prime Rib night (Quincy's is a 1 meal establishment with Prime Rib Friday through Saturday. Filet Mignon is Sunday through Thursday). The food was prepared with attention to details and full of flavor. Our 8 oz Prime Rib was just as we had ordered. The price was right and we loved the small town atmosphere. For me...i would have asked, if possible, for the dressing on the Wedge to be on the side as it was a lot for me. (My husband loved it ). The only other thing I would let others know is there were not any vegetables. The only reason I say this is for anyone with health restrictions, its a pretty full carb meal. But that absolutely does not take away from our experience. We would highly recommend and will be coming back. Thank you Quincy's. read more

On 3/28 we attempted to go to Quincy's. We gave our name to the hostess and she said it would be 20 or 30 minutes. She told us we could wait outside and she would find us. We waited at least 35 minutes right in front of the window. Since she hadn't come to seat us and others had been seated we went to see how much longer it would be. She said she didn't have our name and started tossing her papers around. She said she didn't even recognize us and it would be another 20 minutes. When told this was not acceptable she said we could go ahead and get a table. We didn't feel that we would get very good service after the conversation. She was totally unorganized and rude about her mistake. We left and went across the street to Ito's and had a great time. read more

We are from North Carolina and was visiting Canon City. We looked up Quincy's and decided to give it a try. This is gem off the beat and path in Florence Colorado. If you like steaks this is the place. The prices are reasonable and the steaks were delicious. Anyone in the area and need a good steak Filet's Sunday -Thursday and Prime Rib on Friday and Saturday. Three stars, not for the food, but for the inability to follow state safety orders. Only hostess was making a lousy effort to wear a mask under her nose. No servers or cooks had masks visible, and not all tables distanced. Food is usually spot-on, but tonight my potato was underdone and lukewarm. This is disappointing to write as this restaurant is normally a diamond in the rough (when we aren't battling a pandemic). That said- the salad dressing is the best thing they serve. read more

Fantastic place!!!!! Was this the best steak I ever had? No, not even close but, it was the deal for the quality of food I've had since Biden inflation. (and still really good) The steak was solid. 15oz Filet, requested Medium, came out medium to Medium well but still a good quality steak that I wasn't upset with and was able to enjoy. I'm a big eater but I can't handle 15oz by myself so I shared this with my wife and we added an additional "veggie plate" which consisted of an additional bake potato, salad, cantaloupe, and bread. So just to be clear, this was a 15oz Filet, 2 Baked Potatoes, 2 Salads, 2 servings of Cantaloupe, and 2 piece of bread for like $22. Tell me where you can get a deal like that. The best part is it all tasted great. Early in the day, I ordered a chicken sandwich with potato chips for $23 and just excepted the fact I would never retire. Then I stumbled upon this Gem and it gave me hope again to live that dream of traveling the states finding the best RV Park that has free wifi. Regardless if you are in the need of a great meal at an unbelievable price or just needed reassurance that you still might be able to retire after our current President screwed everything up, this place is worth checking out. Hell, it's worth driving out of the way for. (I don't say that lightly with the price of gas) I almost forgot, my wife also ordered a glass of wine which was only $4. That's incredible!!!!! We were figuring it was going to taste like it was poured out of a boot but it was honestly pretty good and I would imagine if I bought her a couple more I might have even got lucky that night. 3 glasses of wine at $4 is just $12. It's hit or miss if you're going to get a good steak cooked properly and to order or lately I've had 3 straight orders that were all big hunks of ugly, VERY POOR QUALITY MEAT overcooked with any fat on the meat being solid disgusting gristle. I always go on prime rib night and prior to last summer I was never disappointed. I always order mine cooked to medium to avoid having a well done tough steak but it doesn't seem to matter how you order it, every time you get well done dry shoe leather you can't choke down. Can't forget to note completely flavorless. I'm not going back to take anymore chances. For $30, I'll just cook my own and know what I'm getting won't end up being dog food. read more

Ate at Quincy's on prime rib night July 21st.. very disappointed with the quality of steak, and the completely inadequate serrated steak knife just shredded the steak instead of cutting the meat. The baked potato was just ok, but tasted reheated. The wedge salad was really tasty, but so odd that the wedge was upside down making it very difficult to eat. Our waitress was great, but ended up grilling steaks in the kitchen, so it took a long time to get our ticket so we could pay and leave. Always enjoyed eating at Quincy's. We called ahead for seating, but after 45 minutes of watching several other groups of people being seated, we asked where we were on the list. Mind you we are sitting outside in the cold for this amount of time. The response to our inquiry was "they need to seat all the large groups before they seat a table for two". We did wait another 15 or so minutes, watching groups of 4 being seated before deciding that if it was more important for them to have the tables completely filled, we would find a restaurant willing for us to only take up half of a booth. read more

OUTSTANDING! My folks have been talking about this place for a long time and we finally made it for dinner tonight. I travel the world for work and I always like to search out new steakhouses. What I'll tell you about this place is that it has the service and the quality of a high-end steakhouse for an extremely reasonable price. I ordered the 15oz Filet medium rare and it was cooked to absolute perfection. Furthermore, the quality and cut of the meat is something that you would pay in excess of $100 at any "big-city" steakhouse. Finally, the baked potato and salad were also outstanding. Finally, the ambience is great. It has the look and feel of an old mining town saloon/diner. The service was exemplary as well. We had dinner here a month ago or so and the place is just great. It's crowded on a Saturday night with a 45 minute stay, but you can belly up to the bar and have a drink. We actually ate at the bar and the food was great. The drinks were really good and we had great conversations with the patrons. Was treated to dinner at Quincy's in Florence by my out of state family. My first experience, which was with my disabled sister, was not a positive one. We arrived at our "reserved time" but because two of our party of 4 were parking the car ( which I told the hostess), we were told to wait to be seated until all of us were physically present inside the restaurant. My sister and I were waiting for not even a minute, when the hostess, asked us to go outside and wait. Very rude since it was obvious my sister was disabled. We were not blocking the doorway and as soon as we stepped out the door, the remaining two in our party walked up so we literally turned around and walked back in. Once seated, it took a very long time for the waitress to even great us and give us water. The salad and potato were delicious, but mine and two others in the party had dry and tough prime rib. Would not go back again basically because of the way we were treated. Prime rib was ordered medium well so it should have been tender and juicy...NOT! read more

But recently (October 24, 2020) I had dinner there and the hostess was rude not only to us, but many others. I know she has been there for awhile...might be time for a change? Our waitress (Chelsea) was not wearing a mask at all and when I asked why she said for health reasons. I should have pushed for what health reasons that would be, but I didn't. In town on vacation and noticed painted advertisement on the windows. Filet Mignon 9.99. Prime Rib 12.99. I was skeptical about this. We went into Quincy's around 6ish. There was about a 30 minute wait, no biggie. Florence Main Street is a very nice little western town full of cute antique shops and all the buildings are from the late 1800s. So you can just imagine how cool this is. The interior of the restaurant is very nice and clean. Since we were there on a Sunday this was the night for Prime Rib. We all ordered the 8oz for 12.99 which came with a fresh crispy wedge salad, bread,butter,creamy,buttery baked potato a perfectly cooked prime rib and a slice or cantaloupe. I went here a few weeks ago with my mom. We were the first people in for dinner, and arrived at about 3:45, and had masks on. I was surprised to see that no one inside the restaurant was wearing a mask, as I thought this was required of food service workers? Throughout our entire meal, no one who served us or talked to us was wearing a mask. At approx. 4:15 as we were waiting to pay a woman came around to all the staff and handed out masks and told them to put them on. Two tables had already been served at this point. Even after this, most of the people only had it covering their mouth with their nose exposed. My mom and I were pretty upset to the point where (I assume) the manager came over, finally with a mask on, to ask us if everything had been okay and if we would like dessert on the house. No, we don't want free dessert. We want the people touching and breathing over our food to wear a mask. My mom is high risk and needless to say we won't be going back to Quincy's until this whole thing ends. I just find it odd, that a restaurant who I can only assume has been severely impacted by this pandemic, would not want to make people feel as comfortable as possible, and especially considering most of the people I see eat here are older. I hope losing customers is worth the political statements you're making by not taking the mask wearing seriously. read more

went there for the first time tonight on the urging of my wife, sat down and ordered, took an hour and 15 minutes to get our meals, everyone who came in way later than us got theirs, turns out the waitress forgot to put out order in so another 20 minutes to wait, finally got out food, the steak was overcooked, tasted like a salt lick, couldn't cut the potato skin with a steak knife, no a-1 steak sauce, the house steak sauce is way too sweet, won't be going back there again. read more
