All the traditional trimmings, little dainty sandwiches , not quite English as no cucumbers in sight! But they put on a good spread. We had curried chicken, smoked salmon with cream cheese, pimento cheese, basil pesto and mozzarella and tomato, and prosciutto and Gouda and fig. The pesto and prosciutto ones were my favorites. They even accommodated our vegetarian and did some veggies versions. Which were great as well. All served on the lovely tiered stands, bottom two tiers were sandwiches, the top was the delicious scones. Served with cream, butter, and jam. The scones also not quite traditional English round ones, but more American triangles. They lightly sweetened but very good , with the cream and jam. The teas were served in individual pots per person. You pick a tea off the list and they bring the pot , with lovely brown sugar cubes and little pots of creamer. We also got mimosas and Prosecco! As you do! The service was great, although the teas took awhile to come, but seemed short staffed like everywhere. The table settings were so pretty and tastefully done. Very English! The last course was the sweets, they bought out chocolate chip cookies, not English! Macaroons, and a butterscotch pudding with caramel sauce, way too sweet for me, the macaroons were good. And the cookies were very American! Could improve the sweets part I think. The grounds were beautiful and great picture taking spot. The inside of the house was also really well kept, very traditional. Loved the experience, great to do with a group.
