They remained professional, kept their composure, and worked as quickly as they could under what was obviously a very difficult situation. They deserve credit for maintaining a positive attitude despite being overwhelmed. The responsibility rests with management. This was Friday night in downtown San Antonio, and there was a major concert at the Alamodome. None of this should have been a surprise. A competent management team anticipates predictable surges in business by scheduling appropriately, preparing inventory, and ensuring operational systems can handle increased demand. Instead, it appeared the restaurant was understaffed and unprepared, leaving employees to absorb the frustration of customers. That's not fair to the staff, and it's certainly not acceptable for paying customers. What happened wasn't simply a busy night--it was a failure in planning and leadership. When management prioritizes minimizing labor costs over being adequately prepared for predictable demand, the customer experience inevitably suffers. I hope the ownership reviews what occurred this night. The employees deserve better support, and customers deserve the level of service they expect from one of Texas' most recognizable brands.
