While walking, we passed Del Mar Wine & Cigar and I convinced everyone we should stop for margaritas, a decision I later regretted. My wife, brother, brother-in-law, and I each ordered one. After walking out and taking our first sip, we all immediately looked at each other and asked the same thing, "Is there any alcohol in this?" To give them the benefit of the doubt, we kept drinking, thinking maybe we just needed a few more sips. That never happened. We all finished our drinks and were convinced we had just paid $12+ each for what tasted like straight mixer. If there was any tequila in those margaritas, and that is a big if, it could not have been more than a splash. The fact that we even left a generous tip makes it even more frustrating. What should have been a fun Riverwalk memory turned into a disappointing and overpriced experience. Avoid this place if you are looking for an actual margarita.

There is also another sign telling you that you cannot try on the shoes. I asked the salesgirl about it, and she said that they had lots of people coming in to try on the shoes, but not buying any. And then people who actually bought the shoes would come back saying that the shoes smelled like feet from all the people who had tried on the pair of shoes previously. True story, swear to God. I guess tourists have stinky feet! I was looking for a souvenir for myself. Warned about the shoes, I actually was looking to get either a Mexican blouse or dress as I had seen several gorgeous ones during my stay in San Antonio. The salesgirl was great in helping me pick out one, and even better yet, offered a discount if I paid in cash. Done. Best yet, after visiting Market Square, I noted that this store's clothes prices were indeed less expensive than the stores on Market Square. Same merchandise, different prices. I don't know how the other merchandise stacked up, but it does pay to shop around.

I chose two scoops in a cup, one of Cappucino Chip and the other Turtle Cheesecake. They have several tables to sit at, some along a hallway and more in a back room. I took a seat and was in awe of the huge scoops given. The Cappuccino Chip had a mild flavor (I prefer it stronger) but a fair number of tiny chocolate chips. The Turtle Cheesecake had an excellent cheesecake flavor with swirls of caramel, praline pecans, and caramel-filled mini turtles. I'm usually not fond of nuts in my ice cream but I actually enjoyed the pralines. In my humble opinion, there were too few turtles. But I still loved it. They have a little bit of everything here. They have some of the best customer service you will come across. The staff in here when I stopped in was very friendly and informative about the surrounding area. If you happen to buy a postcard, they sale stamps, both regular and postcard stamps.
