I've always got the welcome to Hot Spot, I've always see her heading out the door then when I'm checking out she walks back in headed to the back. I've been in retail my whole life, she doesn't acknowledge her customers and always the "I hate being here" look, always on the phone. Time for corporate to take a look into this. Cashier's are great and helpful 5 until she walks behind the counter.

TA Florence - I stopped in for gas and it seemed I was the only one needing to fuel up at this time…read moreof the day - this place was practically a ghost town with a few exceptions. After fueling up I decided to go inside and ummm freshen up some, there was a guy sitting at the outside table on his phone having some discernible conversation while kicking a worn suitcase and fiddling with a few plastic shopping bags, he looked like he was traveling the hard way, unshaven and wrinkled but the new iPhone looked to be an upgrade even from my iPhone 11. The inside of the store was fairly clean if you discount the dis-shuffled restroom, I'd give it a five out ten apparently they were much busier earlier since at this time I was the sole customer. I took the time to walk around a bit, since it's a known trucker stop they always have a few interesting "as seen on tv" items for sale, today the tactical glasses and tactical light was clearly displayed as were a host of electronics all placed conveniently for compulsive purchasing. I locked on the Cobra CB Radio, no I didn't make the purchase but I really think I need one for the Jeep, maybe next time. I never saw the clerk but since I wasn't making an inside purchase no interaction was necessary so I can't comment on the customer service here. As I exited the store I noticed the guy on the phone was still jibber jabbering as I made my way to the caddie and preparing to leave I got a little startled by a tap on my window which was about a quarter way down - the gentleman who had pulled up to the pump across from me informed me he and his wife were staying at the Baymont a few blocks away and they were in the need of some cash or gas and although his story wasn't very convincing I do have empathy but he and his co-conspirator seemed to be toasting some spirits with each rejection and I don't reward deception...

I don't normally leave reviews but this store is always a disaster, the employees are horrible and rude and also look terrible they don't even look like they've showered in weeks. Most of them look high as kites at work, slurring words, unable to comprehend whats being asked of them or even just a normal interaction is horrible because the employees are so out of it. Someone needs to come in and really work on this location as it is one of the most horrible locations i've been to.

The interior of the store was organized, clean and smelled fresh. The restroom was one of the cleanest I have seen for a travel plaza. Pilot has done an outstanding job with keeping this location up to standards for the traveling public.

On this particular day, I was halfway through my 9-hour ER visit. Ordered a meatball sub, only because I was tired of the usual mix of turkey, ham, etc. subs. Surprisingly, this was a taste sub with plenty of meatballs. They were moist and the marina sauce did not repeat later in the evening. Interestingly, there was a notice in front of the register they are going to reopen from 12 AM to 2 AM for the night shift nurses, doctors, techs and family members of patience's. How many times have you had to rush a family member to the ER late in the evening or after midnight and there was nothing but vending machines when you needed something to eat? Since I never have coins or much cash the card reader is most convenient. Cycle through Tire Cleaner, Pre wash, Soap wash, scrub brush, Rinse, Wax, Spot free wash on CRV is $8.50. There are vacuums that take car wash tokens currency accepted is cash/credit. There is a dog wash on-site, haven't used don't have dog. Compared to what was paying before I'm getting more service done for less money. The Laser Wash is next door, I will try it soon.
