Twenty four hour coffee (before that was a thing), convenience snacks and lottery scratch-off. They don't offer the hot pizza and fresh ice cream like QT, but this is the chain that always had "Slushy" and "Big Gulps" at 2:00 in the morning during a road trip. So for nostalgia sake.... That says something. Now, they also have a decent rewards program. An attractive looking bakery case and this new store is clean and bright. My issue is that you [must] download the app in order to partake of it, and with every store demanding an app, space on my phone is too precious. So I know I am not racking up any rewards when I shop there. It makes me choose a different store due to FOMO. Also worth mentioning is that they have selected a miserable grim-faced manager who is usually lurking around underfoot, scowling and sullen. She has dark, shiny hair, medium height and seems unpleasant. Seeing her let's you know that you're most certainly not welcomed there. So for the baked goods, Big Gulp and the Nostalgia. I am getting my gas here now even if it about 5 cents a gallon more than surrounding gas stations. I have a high mileage Audi with Twin Turbo Fuel injection that requires Premium Gas and even then, the fuel injectors do eventually end up with Carbon Deposits. The additives in Shell fuel permits the cylinders to run hotter and reduces the amount of Carbon Deposit so I use this brand. Inside the convivence store on the other hand makes you fell like you are in a high crime area. Not comfortable in there.

It's a fairly new store right behind Concord Mills on the AMC Theater side and as far as gas stations go, this one is very well kept and clean. The fuel islands are all in working order and fairly fast as far as fueling goes and the trash cans nearby are emptied often. It can be somewhat of a hassle getting out of here if you're trying to turn left back towards I-485 but there is a traffic leading out of Concord Mills that makes it a bit easier. The inside of the store has a good selection of convenience food and drink items as well as your usual general merchandise necessities. For some reason, it seems like Coke/Pepsi is always on sale at these places (when you're buying 2 liters or 6/12 packs, not the convenience 20oz sized). I'm always finding them around the 25 cent per can price so it's always worth going inside to see. Attached to the gas station is a Krispy Krunchy Chicken, a Louisiana favorite that I unfortunately haven't tried yet. Oddly enough, they also serve Pizza Hut and Mooresville Ice Cream, so something for everyone I guess. The staff is very friendly, especially compared to the average gas station experience, so it's always nice to see a smiling face when I walk inside. I've been there before but it's been a while so wanted to see if it had changed. Got there a little after noon and they were closed despite the posted hours. On the way over, I had passed the East Lincoln Mini Mart which has a big sign out front, "Best Hot Dogs in Town". Stopped in and their kitchen was down so no Hot Dogs. One more place and that was Jay's in Denver but sign said, closed until 3pm. Ended up with roller Dogs at the Quik Trip Gas Station. Not the best but still not too bad. Repeated the same thing yesterday. City Lunch was closed despite the hours being 5:30am to 5:30pm. East Lincoln Mini Mart had their equipment back online, so I ordered two of them. No place to sit so I took them home since I only live about 10 minutes away. Building is not much to look at, but the Hot Dogs were incredible. The dogs were all beef and had great flavor and texture with a nice snap. Not normally a fan of slaw and I did not tell them "No Slaw". so they came with slaw. Something about North Carolina, everything comes with slaw. Nevertheless, the Hot Dogs even with the Slaw were delicious. Price was more than reasonable and a great value The sign boasting "Best Hotdog in Town" on the front of the building is accurate and the place lives up to the sign. Will definitely be back.
