The free standing surf shop was an old house built in 1896, which was restored 100 years later by the Delray Beach Historical Society in 1996. Very nostalgic and a perfect home for a surf shop. It reminded me of a mini BC Surf and Sport in Fort Lauderdale. The owner was mildly chatty as my wife browsed the artsy hoodies at $160.00 and hard to compete with Amazon but who is? Love the selection of surfboards and the separate room of skateboards.

Everywhere you turned was an Instagram worthy displays filled with cool items. Candy colored surf boards, a VW Westfalia, a Vespa, all the displays were eye candy. They describe themselves as "a curated lifestyle boutique for the inner surfer soul carrying surf and skate, jewelry, accessories, clothing, and home decor." Some of my favorite items were the beaded bracelets, rings, beach bags, hammocks, inner tubes, and vintage Polaroid cameras. If money was no object I would have left with half the store. They also have a very nice selection of home decor, bathing suits, clothing, and accessories. This store fits in very nicely with the vision of the owners of Grandview. They wanted to create a place where the community would not just come to eat, but gather to hang out. Having a pl;ace to shop like this is a great draw for the area. They also host host events and they have a $10 braid bar. Even if you don't surf and are just into the South Florida beach style then you will love this store.

It was easy to see how the owner takes pride in his business. The manager greeted us and explained some of the online shipping options and discussed skateboards. Everything in this store is required for a day at the beach or street skating. Several skateboards with accessories, Walking shirts, halter tops, BC Surf & Sport hats, backpacks, Knockaround polarized sunglasses, shirts and hoodies bearing the famous Billabong logo. Not many deep discounted items but you will be proudly wearing a well established beach brand.

We were able to fins a few bag big suits and that was good. They have a nice array of surf items and appeal to many ages. Near the front entrance, you'll find beach chairs, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Inside, there are also fun accessories, stickers, and decals. Toward the back, there's a decent-sized section dedicated to skateboards. They also sell local photo prints, which felt unique and added a nice touch. I stopped in after dinner just to browse and was impressed by how clean and well-organized everything was. The store is bright, well-lit, and has dressing rooms available. The staff were friendly, and the pricing felt reasonable for a beachside location with such cute and unique items.

The colors are gorgeous, it's made of the most delicious fabric, and the woman who works there was tuned into me don't ask me how. I feel like i will wear this dress a lot and i don't wear a lot of dresses so the price was worth it. The next day i wore the dress to dinner and the women i was dining with wanted to try the dress on because they loved mine so much so we went back into periwinkle. And lo and behold we met the owner of the dress company who was doing a trunk show for several days; the owner of warren and wade? Anyway i will always have fond memories of this store and this story everytime i wear the dress.
