I was visiting the Grandview Public Market food hall and found this surf shop attached to the…read moreseating area. I wandered in and was blown away. What an unexpected but great find. Everywhere you turned was an Instagram worthy displays filled with cool items. Candy colored surf boards, a VW Westfalia, a Vespa, all the displays were eye candy. They describe themselves as "a curated lifestyle boutique for the inner surfer soul carrying surf and skate, jewelry, accessories, clothing, and home decor." Some of my favorite items were the beaded bracelets, rings, beach bags, hammocks, inner tubes, and vintage Polaroid cameras. If money was no object I would have left with half the store. They also have a very nice selection of home decor, bathing suits, clothing, and accessories. This store fits in very nicely with the vision of the owners of Grandview. They wanted to create a place where the community would not just come to eat, but gather to hang out. Having a pl;ace to shop like this is a great draw for the area. They also host host events and they have a $10 braid bar. Even if you don't surf and are just into the South Florida beach style then you will love this store.

This store was huge. And it had all sorts of departments within it. I'm more familiar with their outlet stores which are much smaller and compact. I needed a replacement purse so that where I went first. They had some clearance sales going on which was an added incentive. I actually found two possibilities right away and wound up purchasing one, I didn't explore the entire store -- just mainly the jewelry, accessories, and shoe departments. These were all close together. So I found something I needed and it was not only priced well, but was a name designer, too. It's good to know I have an alternative to my usual haunts.

Besides not finding any clothing that appealed to me, the store had a foul smell. It wasn't a "moth ball" smell but it was a bad smell - - I almost walked right out. The home department was still very nice but the clothing not so much. I did purchase one pair of shorts but really wish there were more. The checkout staff was very friendly and quick.
