Located at Riverview Landscape Supply, the creamery fixes any sweet tooth. They have a variety of ice cream flavors, all of which are executed well. Their ice cream is rich and densly packed. You can get simple scoops in a cup or cone, sundaues, or root beer floats. What really amazes me about this place are their portions and their prices. MASSIVE portions that are very affordable. The last time I was there we got 2 smalls and a bottle of water for $7. Even if they were 'small' smalls that would have been a good deal but the genorius portions make this place my ice cream fix when I am driving down 395.

Its my summer ritual. This is hands down the best ice cream in the world. Well second best actually - if you are willing to fly to Bangalore, India to corner house to get the best . I suggest you get the butter pecan on a fresh baked waffle cone !!

above average portion of creamy ice cream for a fair price hidden away in what appears to be a landscaping business. buy some plants, eat some ice cream. enjoy.

Teenage boy was running up the slides and around the entire playground without regard to my little children. Caution to parents of littles!

I wish so much that I had the same customer service and playground experience that others here have enjoyed. Sadly, that is not the case for us. The one positive is that the ice cream was good. Wow. I honestly have not encountered such disgraceful customer service from a local Quiet Corner business in my entire 2 years as a resident here in the neighboring town of Woodstock. We moved to this area from an urban area, and even there I have never experienced something like this - and urban businesses can be tough. NOTE - I have NEVER written a negative Yelp review in my life. I am so upset by this experience that I have to say something. I am a stay-at-home mom to two small children ranging between the ages of 3-6. We have had amazing experiences at other local businesses in the Quiet Corner towns, as we love to explore new places and meet those who are involved in our community. I am also involved in our town's Mom's Club and we often get together to enjoy going out to enjoy local restaurants and other businesses together. Well, I will NEVER recommend coming here ever again. Here is what happened this evening, and I very well plan on going in to speak with the owner soon and bring along photos to show him that I thankfully happened to capture. My son and I picked my daughter up from school today and headed on over to Riverview Landscape Supply in Putnam to enjoy ice cream, and for them (ages 3 and 6) to play on the little playground there. All was well and nice until a grandmother showed up with her three middle school aged granddaughters, and high school aged grandson. The grandson dashed over to the playground - if you have ever been there, you very well know that it is intended for little children still in the single digit age range - and started running up those little slides, darting across the monkey bars while his legs were flaying everywhere, and running on the upper level of the playground itself having absolutely NO regard for my children whatsoever. Let me say that the granddaughters showed no signs of respect either. The grandmother, meanwhile, just sat there. Sat there staring at her phone, occasionally looking up but doing absolutely nothing. Well, this teenage boy LITERALLY nearly knocked my daughter clear off of the top level. One of the granddaughters kept climbing up the slide while my little daughter sat at the top ready to slide down. The granddaughter didn't care and kept climbing up anyway and pushed my daughter aside! I couldn't believe it! I said out-loud that slides are for sliding down. The grandmother finally chimed in asking for the kids to stop running around. That worked - NOT! I had enough and went over to the window where they sell food and expressed my concern to one of the three college girls who were working there - no management was there. Just the college girls. One of the college girls looked out the window and said, "You should talk to the grandmother about it." I told her that she was doing nothing, and that it is the store's responsibility to say something to stop the teenagers from causing mayhem. She asked if I wanted for her to say something, and I said that it is the store's responsibility. I went to sit back down. Five minutes pass and no one came out and the same scene was unfolding. I got my kids ready and we were leaving. I just couldn't believe this was happening. I went back to the window and said, "I am disappointed that no one came outside to calm the older kids down", to which the college girl I spoke to before said, "I told you to talk to the grandmother." Did I hear that right? Was I ACTUALLY BEING SPOKEN TO LIKE THIS??? Then, another college girl came over, stuck her head out of the window and said I should have talked to the grandma, and they shouldn't have had to. She then proceeded to say that she didn't think there is an age limit on the playground. UM, the manufacturer of the playground makes it clear that there is indeed an age limit and teenagers are not allowed. This college girl started getting snarky as she was telling me this. I told her that I am not at all happy with how I am being spoken to and that I will be coming in to speak with the owner about this, to which she responds...ARE YOU READY FOR THIS, "Good for you. You do that." She then shut the screen windows in my face and turned her back to me. OH MY GOSH. NEVER have I been treated so disrespectfully by a person who was probably born the same year I graduated high school. Seriously. THAT ALL HAPPENED.

First let me say they don't sell frozen yogurt as it states. The icecream is very good.

The ice cream is fresh and delicious and now they serve food. Stop by for some clam chowder and take home some dessert.

Very good ice cream, mostly outdoor seating however what sold it for me was the playground right next door.

You either have to park in the lower lot, or stop in when walking the shops. Some of the flavors are unique. Lately I'm stuck on Ube, which I was told is Phillipino eggplant. It has a slight chocolate taste to me. Again, there's so many flavors there that you can't get or find at any local ice cream stand or shop. Best part is they're open all year round, so this isn't seasonal. They do have a freezer unit that has many products and flavors that they carry, in 1 pint containers to take home. They have what was a store front window display area where you can sit and enjoy, while overlooking traffic going by. If you're going to eat at any of the area restaurants, don't eat dessert there, but instead come here. You won't be disappointed.

While we were there someone came in asking for a bourbon flavor which unfortunately he was out of but I did get the Kahlua flavor which I would absolutely recommend. We went pretty late on a Wednesday so there was plenty of parking and seating but I understand from my parents, who have gone many times, that it can get pretty busy. So plan accordingly.

The bench seating was very comfortable, though some of the tabletops were pretty tall and all wood, so maybe not the easiest to sit at for a while. The restaurant has an extensive menu, but when I saw the pitmaster section I knew I had to try some of that. As an appetizer there were potato skins with pulled pork. Wow, these are not the wizened, come from a frozen box, potato skins. These were large, brimming with flavor and cheese. From the pit was brisket and ribs. Each came with corn bread, one with fries, the other with mac and cheese. Corn bread, so good, nice grainy texture, not a baked sugar slurry like you can find elsewhere, up here in the north. The brisket is super tender, doesn't need much sauce because it's packing all that natural and smoke flavor. The ribs are not dainty. You're going to be getting in here with your hands, like proper ribs eating. I'm so unused to that, and it resulted in me bringing half the rack home because a half rack was so filling. The edges of the ribs were dry, but all the interior was pull apart tender and delectable. Again, only needing a touch of their homemade sauce. The fries were robust but still crispy and seasoned well. The mac was the only miss for me. Too toothsome and not much flavor. Because they also do wood fired pizza, I got a cheese with ricotta to go. I'm not sure I ever need their pizza again. The crust was thin but not very crispy except on the cornicione, which had a lot of herbs sprinkled on it. The sauce disappeared, flavor wise, and so did the cheese blend. Side notes - I know everything has gotten crazy expensive, but the prices here took me aback. $16 for three pieces of bacon? Also, the 10% military discount was only applied to my ribs, but nothing else, so I'm happy they have one but it may only be applied to your food and non alcoholic drinks on Tuesdays and Fridays during their specific windows.

We asked for tea and water and my kiddos got orange soda. We went to the buffet where we noticed the quality of food didn't look so great but we decided to stick to it. We came back to the table and sat down with our food. Right away I noticed the back wall at the table behind the napkins was filthy. And quickly after my husband showed me his cup for the tea. It was disgusting! And I looked at mine and it too was so dirty! I put two ice cubes in it so that I could wet the inside and wipe it out with a napkin. (See the photos of my dirty cup and the napkin of the stuff I wiped out of my cup). Nasty! Obviously their dishwasher isn't doing the job. The silverware was also very tarnished and I wiped stuff off of them too! The service was meh. The food was flavorless and of poor quality. The only thing I found that was decent was the chicken and broccoli. The crab rangoons were chewy but the filling was ok. We finished eating and left. We all agreed that we would not return to this place. It was dirty and the food was lacking! Don't waste your money! Go elsewhere! They obviously don't care about their business. This place could be so much better if they tried!
