Girls trip -we did the Crozet tour and went to King , Hazy Mtn, Veritas and Flying fox wineries…read more We enjoyed the first 3 stop especially the Stunning view at Hazy but had a hard time choosing the 4th stop as we felt that none of the choices were great. We had an hour at each stop which was ok but would have liked a little more time. Probably would have been better to have more time at the first 3 and eliminate the 4th one. We did the 151 tour previously and the choices were better imo but the drive to get there was longer. they do not assist with reservations at the wineries so you are on your own with that and there is no estimated time frame provided as to when you may be at each stop so making a reservation is pretty difficult. Wineries super busy in the fall so reservations are helpful but not necessary. Bus was super bumpy and curvy winding roads so if you are prone to car sickness you may wish to reconsider. Other than that we had a good time. Snacks (chips) and water provided. No live music at any of the wineries which was suprising.

The wineries were about a 30 min drive from the downtown area so I'm thankful we had a DD! You get to plan your own itinerary. You can choose between wineries or breweries so there is something for everyone. Service was great and the bus was fun. I'd def book again!

Bus driver didn't have a key and didn't seem concerned that we had a bus full of 3rd graders who had to drive all the way home to WV with no bathroom. Apparently the EZ Passes were low on funds, so we had to avoid part of the toll road on the way home, making our 1:45 bus ride take 2:30 (traffic was also bad, but c'mon, driving through Tyson's Corner at rush hour??? NOT a good choice!). Low and behold 2 hours into the drive we have kids crying because they can't go to the bathroom. We ask them to pull the buses over so the kids can use the bathroom on one of the other buses, they refuse. The whole time the bus driver is complaining about how it's not the bus company's fault that someone locked the door. Well, I disagree. WHY is there NO KEY?????? It's a bus full of kids. Something like this is bound to happen. What if a kid got locked in there and couldn't figure out how to get back out??? Never mind the fact that we paid extra to go on a charter bus for the very reason that we KNEW kids would need to use the bathroom. This company has some soul-searching to do. If you're going to offer this type of service, you need to be ready for any and all situations. I won't pay to go on another trip through them. I think all of the parents on that bus and the other one in which the bathroom was "broken" should get a partial refund.

When I research car services on Yelp, I found that Monumental Tours was woman-owned and offered the cheapest rate of all the car services that I found. Abe was sure to check-in on location of where my boss was to be picked and also notified of me his driver each time. Abe was very courteous and professional. The Virginia wines were excellent, and everyone loved the history lesson. Now I have another group of friends who are jealous and want me to host a wine tasting for them. The tour comes with complimentary breakfast and lunch. We got picked up at the little station behind Freedom Car Wash and Wawa. The bus was brand new and very comfortable. They had a selection of apple cinnamon muffins, sweet potato pastries, grapes, and strawberries with blueberries for breakfast. The muffins and sweet potato pastries made by a contestant on Master Chef Junior and the muffins were great. I didn't have the pastries because I don't like sweet potatoes. We were offered a bag with water and a granola bar with brochures for wineries and some for the ones we were going to. The was also a scent bag with soy candle samples from Pink Zebra. They smelled great. Next on the list was gathering the rest of the group for the trip from Norfolk. Once we got everyone, we were offered mimosas; candor l cranberry or orange. We chose orange. Deanna introduced herself, daughter, and granddaughter. She also introduced those who she knew who were on the trip. She provided some great historic facts like the origin of witchduck. She discussed the history of Virginia wine and information about Virginia Born presidents. Our first stop was New Kent Winery and our host was great and very polite. The tasting was very informative and fun. Their wines were fantastic and the Vineyard was amazing. It wasn't on the itinerary, but Deanna put it on there. Next was Michie Tavern. We had lunch there and the buffet was great. The wine tasting, not so much. Third stop was Baubersville and the wine was ok. We weren't really a fan of the environment because I felt out of place even though I was dressed pretty nicely. Last stop was Horton and our host was amazing! We had so much fun! We will definitely do this tour again in the fall because it was great and it was so much fun! Happy to have been part of the inaugural trip!
