Dark Roast Oolong Tea ($3.99) *Just Tea *Honey Boba ($0.75) *Grass Jelly ($0.75)

Date: Tuesday. July 16th, 2024 Time: around 7pm Dark Roast Oolong Tea ($3.99) *Just Tea *Honey Boba ($0.75) *Grass Jelly ($0.75) *Notes: tea strength extra strong if possible, no milk, no sugar, just tea and toppings I was a few doors down having dinner with the fam. It'd been a while since I last had a boba tea, so I decided to drop by Quickly. They have two kiosks for ordering. And no one manning either, so I just went up to one and started my order. I always make notes with my tea order, but the kiosk froze when I was typing so I decided to use the other one. Same thing happened here, but luckily, the other kiosk unfroze and kept my progress, so I was able to finish my order. My drink quickly came out afterwards. Quickly is pretty consistent and this location was no exception. Fine place to grab a boba tea. Tho their ordering system is slightly frustrating. REVIEW #3496

I've had mostly good experiences here over the years. I generally make an effort to greet and be extra nice to service people, which you'd be surprised how often changes their attitude! **AMBIANCE** -They have a large TV with music videos playing constantly. It's generally pretty clean aside from boxes and deliveries they have received. They recently remodeled so it's still a little cluttered. Pre-COVID people and students would hang inside and do homework, play games, or just chat. **DRINKS** -They have an eclectic menu of Milk teas ($4.50), Slushes ($4.50), Fruit teas ($4.25), Smoothies ($4.99), Yogurt drinks ($3.99) and more! There are a ton of different flavor options you can get for most items. There is a huge list of toppings to add ($.75/ea), however they don't always have every one available. The drink prices listed are for the regular size, though they have a "Supersize" you can upgrade for +$1.50. They used to have more size options, however I believe they condensed to two with the remodel. **FOOD** -There are a bunch of (mostly unhealthy, but delicious) options. They have a lot of snack foods that are good in specific situations. Some of the favorites we like are the Popcorn Chicken ($7.99), Curly Fries ($5.99) & Waffle Fries ($5.99). They have other choices like Baby Octopus ($7.99), Pot Stickers ($5.99), Spam Musubi ($5.99) and more! -They also do rice bowls, ($7.99) with various types of chicken or Spam on top. -On their new menu, they have a Chicken Wing section that's "coming soon" with 8 different flavor options. -They have dessert options as well such as Mochi Waffles ($5.99) w/ choice of topping and Egg Puffs ($6.99) also coming soon. **SUMMARY** Overall this is a good spot to come if you want some quick (ha...see what I did there), relatively inexpensive and mostly delicious Boba drinks and snacks. It may not be the most fancy, but you know what to expect and the extensive menu along with reasonable prices keeps us coming back! Instagram: @BBNem.Food

This Quickly is not that busy. To use the self ordering tablet, there's a mandatory 10% tip. No biggie, but kinda of shady because I took my food to-go and did not eat there. So, popcorn chicken with tax and tip was $9.50.

I've been coming to this Quickly for several years, but since I've finally made it in post-remodel, it's time for a review! ~ Location, Ambiance and Service ~ They are located in the San Bruno Towne Center which is always fairly busy due to the mix of food, shopping and Bevmo. There are a few spots right out front, but you'll have better luck parking in the main lot. The remodel looks AMAZING! Everything seems really clean and refreshed with wood-paneling, TVs with the newly expanded menu--the whole place looks much more modern and upgraded. Over the last few years we've seen the same rotation of folks working there, but didn't recognize the people we saw recently. We had a couple of questions since we were changing our usual order, and service was fine--not overly friendly, but it's hard to read on people when we are all masked. ~ Food ~ Popcorn Chicken: This is one of my guilty pleasure snacks--salty, crispy, dark meat that is hot and delicious! Curly Fries: The fries are super seasoned and just the right balance of crispy and soft. ~ Drink ~ * Hokkaido Milk Tea (caramel): First time getting this and WOW! It's definitely sweeter than I would usually prefer, but this really hit the spot. Classic caramel taste; the boba was a little undercooked (?) in the center but was fine. * Wintermelon Tea (black tea): This is my go-to! Love the flavor; refreshing taste, and goes well with classic honey boba and popping boba as well. Great before or after a meal! Overall, Quickly is good if you're needing a quick boba fix and are in San Bruno. As mentioned, there are some shops (Lowe's, nail salon, Marshall's) so this is a great first stop before running errands or for a treat on the way home. Instagram: @waitingtoeat

Quickly is always a solid boba place. Pretty big menu with lots of options. Ordered on the kiosk thing and the wait wasn't too bad but a tad bit longer than expected. The drinks overall were good but very sweet, so I recommend getting half sweetness instead of full unless you want diabetes boba... but overall good value for the price :)

No option for Custom or 0 tip. They hid it beneath the blue Continue button so you can't even press it.
    Andy B.

They FORCE you to tip. The self serve kiosk that they have you use FORCES you to pick 10/15/20% tip. If you want to hit the "CUSTOM" tip to leave a different amount or 0, you can't. The Custom button is hidden underneath the "Continue" button. So you can't even access the the Custom button if you don't want to tip, or already left cash. So you're forced to take your own order, not get service, and then on top expected to leave a gratuity for doing that! Good boba and snacks tho!

It took us about 10 minutes just to put an order in on a Saturday afternoon. The cashier looked like she did not want to be there just asking customers "what do you want?" With no smile or any sort of acknowledgment while she was getting orders together in the back. Considering that there were only 2 people working there and she was doubling with making food in the back it definitely doesn't help her situation. They need to hire more folks on busy days like these. The room got to about 7 people long and there were lots of people waiting in line and only one person making drinks. The buzzer that indicates people coming in and out is broken because it kept ringing sporadically even though no one was coming in. Definitely an organizational issue. Despite those issues, her bad attitude was apparent. She didn't accept the $10 bill of someone ahead of us because it had a rip, but my partner purposefully took out a ripped bill that she accepted. But she proceeded to give him attitude for asking for 25% sugar, to which she said "we don't use sugar we use syrup" so we asked for 25% syrup but thought her response was off. She was very rude and there were 3 of us customers talking outside about how rude she just was to everyone. If they want to stay open, they are going to have to hire more hire more workers and train them to have a bit more courtesy. As for our slushy, it was not great. We won't be back.

If you don't know what to pick or want recs don't be afraid to walk up and speak to one of the kind folks working the front cashier. Super organized, screen scares where you are in the cue and a steady pace of of people coming through and a few seating spots that you can hang out while you're enjoying your drink. They even have some games like Uno, Cards against Humanity and chess etc to play amongst friends/family. Came once before with my daughter that she insisted we come back before the end of summer and make sure we had her little brother with us this time (awww). So if you're into this tea and boba and more scene, stop by when you're in the Serramonte area. Prices are fair for what it is, ranges between $7.95-$9.95 depending on how many extras you want to include. Sweetness options go from perfect, light, to none and Ice options go from regular, light, none, or hot! Also just one size. They are in the strip mall where Sprouts and Sketcher's are.... Parking is plenty and time getting your drink is reasonable and worth the wait even if it seems crowded inside.

we've heard a lot of great things about heytea and wanted to see if it lived up to the hype! the…read moreshop can get pretty crowded, especially on weekends or evenings, but i've been lucky a few times with no line at all. you can also order for pickup on the app instead, which saves you the wait, but keep in mind that the estimated pickup time can be incorrect when it's busy. i once waited ~40 minutes for an order that was supposed to be done in 15 minutes. heytea has a limited menu, which mostly focuses on fruity drinks, although there are a few milky options. - crisp grape boom (3.5/5): tasted like fresh red grapes, although i would've liked even more of a grape flavor. it was like a half-melted popsicle, but i thought it would've tasted better if it were all one consistency - either a slush or a juice. i did like the grape bits in it! - mango grapefruit boom (4/5): i enjoyed how fresh the mango flavor was, but there wasn't that much mango in the drink. it was full of toppings, especially the coconut pudding and sago, and it tasted mostly like coconut. there was some grapefruit pulp, but not a ton. it would've been great with more mango. this was also more watery than most mango sago drinks i've had - coconut mango boom (4.5/5): it would've been perfect if it were less watery! it had an even balance between coconut and mango, which i loved. there was a huge difference in flavor between the mango grapefruit and the coconut mango boom, even though the only thing different was the grapefruit. i could actually taste the mango in this one - supreme brown sugar bobo milk tea (4/5): very light for a brown sugar milk tea but also didn't really taste like one. i could taste the black milk tea, and there was some initial brown sugar flavor where it pooled at the bottom but then disappeared. the cheese cloud topping was really tasty - lightly sweet and salty. i didn't think the drink was too sweet at regular sweetness, but i could've gotten it less sweet. the brown sugar bobo (boba) was chewy but really on the softer end - matcha cloud jasmine latte (4/5): really great jasmine flavor, but the matcha was very subtle. i barely tasted the matcha at all! it was very light for a milk tea and perfectly sweet at less sweet - green grape boom [seasonal] (4.5/5): i liked this one more than the crisp grape boom because it had more grape flavor. it was also watery but more of a slush than the crisp grape boom. i loved the chunks of green grapes in it! - mulberry strawberry boom [seasonal] (4/5): good fruity flavor, which was light and perfectly sweet. i didn't enjoy it as much as the grape drinks because the seeds in the berries would get caught in my teeth and i didn't like the tartness as much, but it was exactly as advertised. it did have a prominent mulberry flavor and lots of pulp if ordering on the app, toppings are added at the very bottom by tapping on the topping and then adding it to a drink. the brown sugar bobo (boba) is softer than what i like, but it's still chewy and not bad. the fat-free bobo pops (crystal boba) are good, and the clouds (creams) are pretty thick. overall, heytea uses fresh high quality ingredients, but i do think they're a little overhyped. the fruity drinks are definitely better than the milky drinks. i like that they include calorie counts and indicate the ingredients in each drink, and the drinks in general taste healthier than other boba stores!

It's located in Westlake shopping plaza so there was ample parking, even on a weekend during dinner time. I had ordered online ahead of time as I had a coupon expiring soon. 10% ain't much but ykw it's honest work. I have been meaning to try their guava drinks forever, and finally today I got the guava grape, which can be made with or without jasmine tea. I got it the recommended way, with the tea, as well as less ice and less sugar. The drink was ready when we arrived. The store smells delicious as all Heyteas do. We waited a few minutes for a worker to be freed up, and were on our way, drinks in hand, 5 minutes later. The guava grape drink tasted just as I hoped it would. The guava and jasmine tea gave each sip a delicately earthy, floral flavor, and the crispness of the grape and the chunks of fresh grape brightened up each sip. This drink was just as good the following day as it was fresh, an important metric for me as the slowest drink-finisher I know. I will definitely be back to this Heytea if I am in the area. I saw that they brought back their blue coconut matcha with coconut jelly, which is my favorite matcha drink from them, so I will for sure get that next time!
