I've mostly been to Tap Ex, so Quickly's was a little bit of a disappointment. Brief Summary -- A lot of different tapioca drinks and snacks -- Mostly fried food -- Service was meh -- $10 Credit Card min English felt like a barrier here, not that I cared but the cashier was struggling. I go here for convenience, it's across from my apartment. There's this one lady who works there pretty much on the weekdays who seems miserable, she never smiles. Walks around like she hates her job. Okay, so I never write these things. But this Quickly peeved me enough to write one. Anyways, lets start with the positve. The drinks are alright. NOW, moving on to the negatives. When you enter into a Quickly you'd think, "Oh hey, let's get some tapioca in my drink 'cause they always have tapioca." Right? Wrong. They don't always have tapioca. The teas were really sweet, which isn't good or bad, just depends on your personal preference. I enjoyed it but my friend didn't as much. Ambiance: Pretty standard quickly. I like this Quickly a lot because not like many other Quicklys, this one has nice staff. Whenever I go, there's a young Asian guy who takes my order. He's nice AND he smiles. If I can give this place 0 stars i would. For one , they are not consistent with their portion. One day they give you a fair amount of food then time they give you half the amount. I normally just order the chicken bites or whatever it's called and split it between me and my daughter, a few times I wasn't able to split it because it seemed like they already split it with another person . I think this is the worst quickly's I've ever been to One worker = slow service Annoying customers = Annoying customers Annoying customers + one worker = worst boba experience ever And that was all from just observing from my car, contemplating if I should go in or not. Went in on Sunday 03/29/2012 and purchased 3 boba drinks and when i provided them my frequent user card, the lady tried to scan it and then said it's broken. Didn't bother to call to find out what is wrong with the system, just that it doesn't work. They really suck at what they do. I placed a pick up order through Yelp/Eat24. I get there and they say they do not do online orders and don't even offer the item I ordered. Turns out, it's because Yelp made a mistake and the location that does take online orders is down the street. I placed a new order with them and let them know I was pressed for time. They took care of me right away and I was out of there in less than 10 mins. I could tell the owner really wanted to do everything he could to help correct the situtation. Went to the nearby mall a few weeks ago picking up some stuff and decided to get a cup of drink for the kid after a well-behaved drive. We are the only customers in the store and it was kind of early in the day. Only one girl was working in there. She saw us but decided not to greet us and did her own things. After waiting for over 5 minutes, we tried to get her attention so that we could order. She looked at us but still decided to run to the back, then drank her own cup of whatever before coming to the front. I ordered in English and she replied and asked me a question in Mandarin. I know that I am a Chinese but how can she expect me to understand and able to speak in Mandarin? Actually I can understand if she could speak a little bit louder and clearer. I could not hear one word she have said. Then, when she gave me the drink, she did not include a straw. Yes, there's a jar of straw nearby the cashier desk and I can reach out to get it myself. But, does she understand what is customer service? Or, if she has received any training about that? It told me that she hates her job and just doesn't care about anything. I like this place. The employees are pretty fast when it comes to taking and making orders. I sit down and watch the Asian pop stars sing a song or two (on TV) and BOOM! my order is ready! My favorite place to get green tea is Purple Kow, but Quickly's is my second go-to spot to get my tea fix. I like their french fries here too. This is my where I get my boba fix all the time. Besides the fact that they take debit/credit, they also have better customer service compare to other quicklys I've been before. I always get just the regular milk tea, and they never disappoint me, always taste the same and the bobas are always chewy (how I like it) not soggy and soft. I'm here all the time with my family and friends. I love it here. Sure, service can be slow sometimes, but I noticed it's because sometimes they're understaffed. They still do the best they can. All the workers there are very courteous and kind. They go above and beyond for my family and me. They always greet my daughter and make her laugh and smile. It's that personal touch that makes us feel appreciated as patrons. We love their drinks, popcorn chicken, ice crepe and fruit crepes, and fried tofu. I recently tried their sweet potato fries and we're hooked. They're lightly seasoned with sugar like Wing Stop's. nom nom nom. As for the environment, it's always clean and well maintained. Beware folks! The workers here like to scam customers into paying more for their drinks. They work together to do this, trying to cover each other's back. I ordered 2 small drinks: Taro Milk Tea with Boba (1.99 plus 50 cents for the boba) and a Hot Seseame Milk Tea with Boba (2.75 plus 50 cents for boba) = 5.74 or 6.26 with tax. They charged me 7.05. Initially I was confused with the high cost, but I paid anyways. They didn't bother handing me a receipt and just dumped it in their plastic bin so I grabbed it. I was charged for 2 large drinks. The Sesame Milk Tea was labled a generic Bubble Milk tea. The girl working there (the one that doesn't smile) asked me what was wrong. I told her I was overcharged because I was rung up for 2 large drinks. She tells me no, the receipt is correct, it's for 2 small drinks. Why is there a L next to each drink then? The guy that took my order (wearing a filthy apron) comes up and tells me that I have the wrong receipt, grabs the receipt and tries to stuff it under the pile of receipts in the plastic bin. I pick it out and say no, you charged me 7.05. The receipt says 7.05. He finally relents and gives me a refund for the difference. Avoid this place at all costs.
