We often stop here when driving home from visiting family. This place is kind of hit or miss. Besides the gas pumps, their is a large convenience store and a made-to-order sub counter. They also have a large selection of coffee. The store is clean and well stocked. The problem I have is that although there are many coffee choices, a lot of them are not hot. No, really. This keeps happening. I try a few before finding a hot one. There doesn't seem to be many workers inside the store so I haven't ever asked anyone about it. They do have a lot of milk/creamer choices which is a plus. They even have soy milk, non dairy options, and (gasp!) whip cream. I use almond/soy milk and can rarely find self serve coffee spots that carry this option. That is what brings me back, despite having to hunt for the carafe of HOT coffee. The made-to-order sub counter is similar to a Subway. Again, no one seems to be standing there waiting for customers. There is a computer terminal to order from, maybe an employee comes out if you have placed an order. I did get subs here once and they were as expected and the price was really good. I have been going to quick Check for over a year now. I stop in for gas and coffee. Often I go in and the coffee is cold. I usually ask for a hot cup of coffee and they make it. Recently I went in around 9:35 pm. The coffee was ice cold. I ask for a hot coffee, and the woman behind the food prep counter told me they no longer make hot coffee in the evenings because they can't be bothered. When I questioned her , she got very nasty with me. Told me to go down the street if I don't like it. I wanted to complain to the manager , I Never received a call back. So I called there corporate headquarters 4 times, never received a phone call back from there customer service. I will not be going back. Be careful of Quick Check in Mahwah, if you expect good coffee. read more

Yet another bad experience at QuickChek for gas. I had a credit card on me that I wanted to use to fill up my tank. The guy said I needed a pin for it (which I don't have as it's not a debit card). He said I need a different card then. Well that all I had on me. Went on to the next gas station, Valero, used the same exact card with no issues. Great place to stop if you don't want to get out of the car to pump your own gas and still save a few cents over the prices in New York a couple miles down the road (despite NJ's recent massive gas tax hike). Also has a much better and cheaper snack selection than the first rest area on the northbound NYS Thruway (Sloatsburg). Restrooms are fairly clean by convenience store standards and there are a good amount of gas pumps. Stop by to top up your gas and take care of your food and nature needs when heading north to NY. read more

Occasionally I stop into this Quik Chek to take a nap because I'm a driver and need to rest before next client. This parking lot has some good parking along edge of the lot. At night though, there is a older Indian or Pakistani guy working there. I only point out his nationality for recognition only. This guy has to be the grumpiest SOB I ever met abd on EVERY occasion. Tonight took the cake though. The checkout machines were down, so I had to have a cashier check me out. After about five minute wait was nobody there he finally came over to the register. They recognized him right away and said to myself guy again shit! As usual I always say something to him really nice. Hey sir how are you doing. Good evening etc etc. You can say four times in a row. He won't even look at you you never ever acknowledge what you say. I pay for my items and left before I pour the parking lot. I forgot to buy cigarettes. I realized I went back in and he was not there. Finally he made it back and yelled what do you want? I told him I forgot to buy cigs. He took the rag he had and slammed it down on the ground so angrily! Started mumbling something i didn't understand but he was actually really mad he had to check me out. I blew up on him this time, cursed him out and called him a lazy fuck. This was at 1:30am so it is far from busy. If anyone sees this guy there at night - about 55 years old Indian - let him have it with kind greetings. He hates that. He hates all customers and shows it. This gas station has 18 gas pumps, and only 6 of them are open at lunchtime on the weekdays. Plus, they only have 1 person available to pump the gas for all of the customers. This makes no sense at all. read more

I prefer this location than to other ones around me. They're quick on the sandwiches at breakfast and lunch time. The staff is sometimes cheerful, but it's a convenience store. They also sell gas, which is a nice thing since it's cheap. The only thing that bothers me, and the reason I don't give it four stars, is that sometimes they don't have any coffee. It's the morning rush, and no coffee?? This is your business!! As of late though they have been doing pretty good with it, but still, this is your business!!! read more

I'm so happy with the sandwiches and the coffee is wonderfully tasty!! The iced coffee is fantastic and they carry snacks you can't get in the grocery stores. The fact that you also have a 44 ounce iced coffee, keeps me running for most of the day. I wish you could open one in Rockland County. read more

i sent this to their company today: i arrived at location to get gas this afternoon. initially i was the one of three cars on your lot and your white round male gas attendant ignored my car and proceeded to make his way around to every vehicle that arrived that did not have a person of color in the vehicle. he even went to all the cars that lined up behind to get them their gas. around 4:00pm i was going to just leave and get gas elsewhere when an african american attendant came to my vehicle to fill up my tank. i had forgotten that this had happened before at this site. considering what this country is going through, hiring this type of attendant should be the last thing your company should be doing. i forgot to mention this white gas attendant doesn't wear a mask. read more

Ugh, I really want to like this Quick Chek location as its on the way to points north for me. However, how does a sandwich place run out of tomatoes? You are waiting for a shipment? Are you f$%^ing kidding me? Perhaps grab a 10$ out of the register and run over to the nearest supermarket??? Their vegetables are sopping in water as well. I love this Quick Chek. I don't know what other reviewers are talking about when they say they run out of coffee; I get coffee here several times a week and I've never had to wait for it to brew. Used to love stopping here. Now every time I get gas end up having to pump on my own after waiting 10 minutes for someone. Usually only one guy pumping gas, maybe two but he seems to be in & out of the store rather then working. Even when in the convenience store, one cashier and a huge line. Obviously they are understaffed .. And this has been happening for a few months now so doesn't seem they're going to do anything about it.
