The little Hispanic lady never cashes your scratch off ticket. Even if you win only 20.00. She is so rude and always says she has no money. So many people go across the street to wawa. I pulled in to use the vacuum on my car and it says that it only takes quarters, so I go inside and go to the clerk behind the counter and ask for quarters and she looks at me as if I were crazy, then she goes into her pocket and says I don't have any, she then looks at her supervisor and she totally ignores her, the clerk then turns back to me and says if I buy something then she can give me quarters "only if I buy something such as a lotto ticket" ARE YOU SERIOUS??? I usually only come here to use the ATM or to get a quick snack. This time I came to buy a frreal milkshake. They had a lot of different flavors available. Both machines were working which was good. The only thing I didn't like was the cardboard straws. Immediately, the straw became soggy and I could barely even drink my milkshake. I understand saving the environment and all, but figure out a different way to save it with better straws. Great addition to the neighborhood. They are open 24 hours and yet manage to stay busy no matter what time you stop by. Their made to order food is decent, not the best, but good. Coffee selection is also great especially when you factor in all the add-ins they offer (milk, cream, almond milk, International Delights, etc). What I like most are the 2 stations of free air (though a line does form from time to time) and gas price for Cash or Credit is the same. Staff has always been courteous to us, as well. read more

So, before a long trip recently we needed to stop for some road-food, some gas, and a quick restroom break before getting on the highway. We stopped at this giant Quick Chek in Fairfield that includes a gas station. Sadly, it doesn't include gas station attendants with even a slightly positive attitude. Wow this guy was in a bad mood. I did have to use the rest room and while it seemed like it was clean it smelled like it needed to be scoured. The sandwiches, coffee and snacks we picked up were great and we were on the road in no time at all. The place is pretty convenient and the people inside were nice and helpful. I worked right down the street from this Quick Chek. You know sometimes I forget there is no c in the chek lol. Anyways this location is one of the best. It has the self check out registers as well as a gas station with the lowest prices in town. Gas up and head inside to pick up food. During lunch hour it does get really busy so expect to wait about 10-15 min for your food if you ordered. When they first opened it was way longer so glad they are making progress. They have a large staff so they are trying their best. They have a daily menu for the hot food that changes. Been meaning to try the lasagna soup. Their Mac and cheese is really good ! Well the store started out good, except for the too small and busy parking lot. Progressively the sandwiches went downhill. Today, after battling trying to get into the parking lot, i ordered a pizza cheese steak sandwich. I go to eat the sandwich and the sauce was cold, not warm, but cold. There was also the equivalent of maybe one slice of steak um in the sandwich. The store is barely worth going to because of the parking lot, now this. How Fairfield ever OK'ed gas bumps put in there is a mystery. Quite a few co workers have sworn off the store before me. I used to go to quick check all the time and I haven't for the past year, the overnight was extremely bad and I didn't feel like I should be eating there, but recently I got really hungry and wanted something to eat and quick check was the closest to me so I went and got a sandwich and from now on that'll be the only place I'll eat in, the new employee "SAER" changed over night I've been coming to QuickChek for the last week and I've seen him on register and Deli. He makes one of the best sandwiches I've eaten at a fast food place and the store is more clean than usual when he's the cashier. I went here because the iphone map lied and said there was a Wawa in the proximity of the location (there wasn't). So out of desperation we stopped here for a sandwich. The place is similar in style to a Wawa but lacks the substance of one. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and it definitely wasn't as good as Wawa's. My father and friend ordered a ham and pesto sandwich and a grilled cheese with tomato respectively, they too said it was not so great. The name "QuickChek" is also extremely misleading, because upon checkout, all 3 of the checkout machines were giving us issues with our credit cards. The staff, who could not just manually check us out on a separate register due to rapid advancements in technology and corporate outsourcing, treated us like it was our cards that were the issue, not the machines. I got a good laugh walking out when i noticed the people behind me also had issues with their cards too. Never again going to SlowCheck. Wawa gang or die. read more

Every morning when I go to work I pass the new Quick Check on Passaic Ave in Fairfield NJ. There is a gas station attendant there by the name of Tommy Jacob. Never in my life have I met a more pleasant, up beat, funny, caring, conscientious and gregarious human being!!! I actually make sure I pull into one his pumps to get my gas as look forward to talking with him several times a week. In todays world when employees are complaining and bitching and looking for ways to cut their workday short, here is a gentlemen who exemplifies the good in people. The service here was beyond bad. I ask for 1/2 lb of Turkey, the guy gives me 1/4 lb. Then he argues with me on my order. I show him the ticket and then he gives a lb of Turkey. I asked for thin cuts and the guy gave me such thin cuts that all the cuts were shredded and smooshed together. I will not be returning to this location. read more

I was told by a worker inside that my valid state id could not be used to buy cigarettes, that i needed a drivers license. This is the first time i have ever heard this .
