I had mitigation work done from Paul Davis. Payment was sent DIRECTLY to the local Paul Davis shop of which I have a record of by State Farm. After calling back to figure out what was going on I was met with REPEATED threats and threats to my property from the general Manager. He stated I had 10 days before a lien would be put on my house. I informed him I was recording the conversation which I actually was and he called me a liar and said he did not care. He immediately changed and said the lien would be put on my house today/immediately as retribution for filing a complaint against him. This is unacceptable behavior and customer service . Sadly the work completed by the actual staff was good and timely however on this interaction alone I would never recommend Paul Davis to anyone. There are plenty of mitigation companies to use. Take this with a grain of salt. Don't use them if you don't want to be treated like shit.

We were forced to remove all of the nails sticking out and bleach the floors in spite of them being paid for this service. They caused additional damage to other little things in the house with the promise this would be addressed, charged a ridiculous amount of money for their services, showed up without warning or communication at random times and never did turn in the bid to the insurance company as requested for repairs. Nor did they have the flooring tested as required by insurance providers or return phone calls. 4 weeks later, with no forward progress or communication, we sit in a house with no furniture, flooring, trim with extra holes in the walls and no way forward. More concerning than delays was the lack of professionalism and ownership. Instead of addressing issues directly, there was a pattern of deflection and minimal effort to correct problems. When you're already dealing with a stressful situation that requires restoration services, the last thing you need is a company that adds to that stress rather than alleviating it. Additionally, there were serious concerns regarding billing practices. American Restoration billed insurance for work and materials that, to my knowledge and direct observation, were never completed or provided. When these discrepancies were raised, they were not meaningfully addressed. To conclude, every subcontractor used was incompetent and required multiple redo attempts. In several instances, I was left to either correct the work myself or accept substandard results just to move forward and avoid further delays and complications. Even more troubling, the project left lasting issues for my family and home that remain unresolved. When these concerns were brought forward, they were dismissed and attributed to "scope of work," rather than being properly evaluated and corrected. This is not a minor inconvenience type of review--this is a warning. If you value your time, your money, and your peace of mind, you should strongly consider going with literally anyone else. There are plenty of companies that will treat your situation with the urgency, transparency, and professionalism it deserves. This was not one of them. I would not recommend American Restoration under any circumstances.

The first one was rainwater coming in through the roof down the inside walls of an upstairs and downstairs bedroom causing mold that had to be removed and flooring & drywall that had to be replaced. Cole Borgeson handled everything with my insurance company to get the project started on the first job providing accurate quotes for the repairs. The second job was an unexpected pipe leak inside the wall on the stairway on New Year's day. This time I called my insurance company (USAA) to request again that they use Rockefellers for the repairs as I had such wonderful service from their subcontractors Daniel Rodriquez (Homestar painting) and Tim Gallegos (Tim's Flooring Covering) that I wanted to have the same crew again. On both Projects the Project Manager's (Christopher on the first job) and Sarvar (on the second job) assigned were great and very professional. At each phase of the job that took place they were there to supervise that the work was being completed. If I had any suggestions or questions they were immediately helpful. I love the outcome of both bedrooms especially replacing the carpet in one room with flooring. And, the wall repair on the stairs we changed the color from white to a sand color which accent the wall beautifully that you notice right away when walking into the house.
