I walked around to the front of the building. On the door was a sign taped to the window stating they were at lunch and would be back at 2:15 PM. I am not going to wait over an hour for the attendants to come back from lunch. They should have a time specified for lunch hours on the web site. Needless to say, I won't try this business again. My time is valuable. A simple update to the web site stating they are closed for specific lunch hours would go a long way to not waste the time of customers.

This dude is crazy fast in terms of smog/emission testing. Honestly i was fully expecting to wait 20-30 mins, but honestly i was in and out in less than 5 mins. The only reason i'm giving this place 3.5 out of 5 stars is that the interior waiting room was run down and it was a bit stuffy. There's no AC (only fan), and it was fairly hot in the summer heat. Honestly for $18.50 for the emissions inspection, and you're in and out faster than you can blink an eye... I'll definitely be back next time when i have to renew my car registration. He told me nothing was needed and to just let him do whatever was required. The inspection was completed before he ever told me the price. Then he tells me it's $60. $60?! I've never paid anywhere close to that for a state inspection. Afterward, I called several other inspection stations, and every one I spoke with told me they charge $18.50 for a Texas state inspection. Had he told me upfront that the inspection would cost $60, I would have gone somewhere else immediately. During the inspection, he also told me I needed new wiper blades and that my license plate light was out. He quoted me $45 for the wiper blades, but after I questioned the total, they suddenly became $40 as a "discount," bringing my total to $100 in cash. He then told me his computer system was down, so I had to pay cash. When I questioned everything, he told me I couldn't leave because the job had already been completed. After reading other reviews, I noticed several people said they were also told their license plate light was out. He responded to those reviews denying those claims, but that is exactly what happened to me, which makes me question whether this is a pattern. I'm beyond angry and feel completely taken advantage of. I'll be reporting this to the appropriate agencies because no customer should be put in this position. If you go here, ask for every price upfront before he touches your vehicle.
