Great Staff (2 stars), Good Prices (1 star)…read more I visited the Take 5 Oil Change in Benbrook this past Monday, and I want to start by giving big praise to the team, especially Axel and the technician in training. Both of them were working hard, efficiently, and maintaining strong safety standards throughout the entire service. I also truly appreciate seeing a company hiring and supporting women in this field--she did a GREAT job, and it was clear she was putting in real effort. That said, while the staff experience was excellent, I have concerns about the process and practices used. Instead of draining the oil from the bottom of the engine, they use a suction method--feeding a thin hose into the engine and extracting the oil from the top. Personally, I'm not fully confident that this method removes all the oil compared to a traditional drain. Even more concerning, during this visit, the hose actually got stuck inside my engine. Axel and the lady worked hard for about 15-25 minutes to remove it, and thankfully they managed--but I left with a serious concern about whether anything may have been left behind or if any damage could have occurred. This was my second visit, and I also noticed that the pricing is very fixed--both times I paid exactly the same labor amount. On my first visit, I was also convinced to replace the coolant ("blue liquid") with theirs ("yellow liquid") at about half the dealership price. While that sounded like a good deal at the time, I'm still not fully confident about the long-term quality or the claim that it lasts for three years. Overall, I want to be clear: The staff is GREAT-- both of my visits they were professional, hardworking, and respectful. The prices are fair and transparent. But the service method and process raise concerns, especially when speed seems to be prioritized over thoroughness. The "stay in your car, quick service" model is convenient, but fast service doesn't always mean better service--just like waiting 2-5 hours at a dealership doesn't always guarantee quality either. I truly appreciate the effort from Axel and the lady--they did everything they could--but I hope the company takes a closer look at their procedures to ensure both safety and quality are fully aligned.

Lainie claimed to be the owner came in after an hour and says she fixed it. I asked for a refund she didn't like that and then called the cops! Cops said I did the right thing by staying because now I have a recorded police report if something is indeed done incorrectly. Stay far away from this place!

All the service techs are professional and knowledgeable, work together, and have a ton of 'hustle' to get you in/out. They check everything without being asked, tire pressures, fluids, reset dash light, etc. all while the oil change is happening. Watch for regular coupons they offer to save a little money too. Let's just say there were some things that happened to my car that were not happening before I pulled into the car lot. They obviously did something to cause something wrong but immediately when I told the guy it wasn't doing that before I got here.. he said OK will look at it and will fix the problem. He said if we did something they would get fixed. Everything worked out so I am a happy customer. I did have to come back a couple days later to actually get my inspection done on my car. I had two tires put on that I brought to them and air pressure was wrong so again I had to come back for that as well... But for some reason I will still say I like this place they may need to get some guys with a little more experience in the shop but they are quick to fix a mistake and very kind about it. Not to mention the guy in the front (I should have gotten his name) was very nice and friendly and had all the laughs. I will go back to this place to have my other tire put on as well... Maybe even the inspection.

I spent $25.00 on the WHEEL DEAL, and paid an extra $10 to have the rubber mats washed I can still write my name on the dash from the dust as you can tell it was not even touched. Walking around the truck the front grill and bumper as well as the back bumper have dirt all over it. You can see the brush marks from the car wash. The side rails are just as bad. Last week I took a vehicle in for inspection, when he gave me the invoice, he had included filter changes and brake fluid flush. He would not take charges off and said I would have to bring it back for the service. So he basically charged my company for services not rendered. Then today a dispute over me retrieving my insurance card out of my vehicle. In the end he said, "Go F*** yourself!" He did this in front of Aaron, another employee. I take three to four vehicles a month to this location, and have been for several years. I will not utilize JIFFY LUBE again until he is gone.
