On Google, he left a reply to my review doubling down and lying about when I made appointments and paid. I called less than 24 hours later to get a repair or refund and was only given the option to pay him MORE money to fix it, as if I want another messed up repair. After I replied to his reply, he deleted his reply.
I went into his store on the 30th of April to get my phone fixed because my back glass was broken on my iPhone 14 Pro. He gave me a reasonable quote of $190 since I also needed a new camera lens cover.
He never called for pickup until I made a call myself 30 minutes before he closed. When I arrived, I inspected the phone and it appeared fine at first, with some minor issues I didn't see as a problem. (The back glass wasn't completely flush with the side of the phone and there was a bit of glue residue along the edges.) I thought this wasn't an issue and I was somewhat in a hurry to leave since he was supposed to be closed soon.
I went through the night with the phone in my pocket, never leaving it. When I got home, I set it screen down on a table and went to bed, not noticing any crack during that night, although there was likely already a crack that formed.
I finally noticed the back glass crack the next morning and immediately called him since I did not drop the phone or treat it badly whatsoever. He tried to tell me that this has never happened before and he will not be honoring a warranty for the crack, even though this isn't an impact crack. (There is ZERO damage anywhere on the bottom of the phone.) If I had to guess, the back glass being pushed out exposed the edge which lead to the crack, or it being pushed out led to too much pressure placed on the middle of the back. Either way, 100% not my fault and my back glass had been fine for years beforehand with the exact same treatment.
I have to visit a different repair shop now so I can get it done properly and wasted my money here. read more
