I also noted in the reservation's "special instructions" that I needed stiff shafts. After driving nearly 90 minutes from Las Vegas, we checked in (a $820 twosome with rentals). The staff at check-in and bag drop both confirmed they'd provide stiff shafts. Yet when the clubs arrived, they were regular flex. Only then were we told there were no stiff-shafted left-handed clubs. The head pro, Matt Wieland, dismissively said "everyone knows" they don't carry them--contradicting his own staff who clearly did not. He said, nobody reads those special instructions on the website. His attitude was condescending and indifferent, suggesting we could simply play elsewhere and get a refund. A competent manager would have apologized and offered to waive the rental fee; we would have stayed and played. Instead, he lost the club over $820 in revenue ($750 if he comped the one set of clubs) and tarnished their reputation. Poor leadership and customer service--unworthy of a facility of this caliber.

Tee times can be made by calling the clubhouse, or going through the casino website. If you stay at the casino & hotel, be warned the golf club is just far enough away that you won't want to walk to it with your clubs; plan on driving. The clubhouse had a pro shop and a grille within the building. The golf course is well maintained and in good shape. The carts are electric and in good condition, but do not have GPS. The course has several holes with nice views of the high desert and mountains. The staff here are always nice. The cart girl was friendly and prices are reasonable. They didn't have Arnold Palmers, but did have plenty of other choices. Great experience and a fun course to play!

We went to the canyons course…read more The course was beautiful and well taken care of and the cost was like half the cost of many course in St. George, but I'd probably not recommend that first timers come here ha. It's apparently a little bit harder of a course, and a fair amount of holes are setup so that you basically have to know what you are doing in order not to lose a 1000 balls. Apparently though there were some amenities that were provided that aren't so common at other courses. They provided a few tees, wet towels to wipe off your clubs and coolers attached to the carts with water and ice already in them. The reason I give 3 stars instead of 4 or even five was the course marshall. At about hole 16 it was getting a bit darker but we could still see perfectly fine, the Marshall drove up to us and said "this is your last hole". When we asked why, he said "don't you know it's 6 o'clock?" He acted as if there was some sort of rule that everyone has to stop at 6. However when questioning him if this was actually the case all he would say is " what are you gonna do, play in the dark?" We paid for 18 holes and were only slightly behind pace to do it in our 4.5 hour time slot. Thing is, he was not friendly about it at all, he was a jerk about it the whole time. If there really is some sort of curfew, there should be a disclaimer when we book the tee time, or it should be mentioned when we came in to pay.

I found exactly what I was looking for and they had my size. Miracle. The service was very friendly and attentive. I went back yesterday looking for Sketcher slip ons. Again someone was in the department "waiting" for me, helped me make a selection explained the features, found my size and walked me to the checkout desk. This is a great store to visit if you need shoes.
