On a…read moreThursday morning I went to put out my trash for trash collection day and when attempting to opem my garage door it only went up a couple of inches. To make a long story short I discovered one of the big springs on the door was broken. So I proceeded to search the Internet for a garage door repair service near where I lived. I found 3 possible service businesses and proceeded to call each 3. Keep in mind this was a Thursday morning and I was schedule the next day to go out-of-state for 3 days to attend a relatives funeral. One of the 3 told me they could come the soonest on Monday, one of the other ones I just left a message which I got a call back about 2 hours later, and then Hilliard Garage Door Service - more specifically Eric the owner of the business answered and said he could come out in the next 2 hours. So this was a no-brainer since I was leaving my home state for 3 days. Upon arriving Eric identified the issue, had the parts, and within less than 1 hour my garage door was back working again by lunch time. Not only that but Eric identified the noise my rollers on each side of the garage door were making a unnecessary noise and replaced all rollers. I did not even realize how noisy the garage door had become until Eric had replaced these rollers. Also I mentioned to Eric that at the bottom of the garage floor a skirt to block out stuff from coming into the garage had deterioted and I had attempted to find a replacement for this skirt a Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, etc only to find that no one seem to carry this skirt replacement. On top of that I could not even find the manufacturer of this garage door on any lable on the door. Again Eric came to the rescue and did some research and was able to find this skirt replacement and withing the past 2 days came and now I have a new skirt on the bottom of my garage door. Lastly I want to say Eric provided excellent service and I would recommend Hilliard Garage Door Service to anyone. Thanks Eric for a job well done :-)

Let me start by saying there are very few things as frustrating in this world as wasting a day off…read morewaiting on a service call. Add a service call that never shows or contacts you, it really is quite maddening. We called to have someone come out and look at our garage door, it appears to have a crack in it. My husband mixed up my day off and scheduled it for Wednesday between 10-12, he quickly realized the error and called back to have the appointment moved to Tuesday for the same time, which they claimed they could accommodate and would call 20 minutes prior to their arrival. Tuesday at 12:30 we called them since no one had called or shown up. They never moved the Wednesday appointment but offered to come between 3 and 6pm that evening, again with a promise to call 20 minutes before, and again, no call and no one showed up.

He asked that I text pictures of my door and the spring mechanism, made a quick diagnosis and quoted me a price 1/2 of what other repair services offered.
