On Sunday morning, I pushed the button on the wall to open my garage and it made the scariest noise you could imagine. It refused to open, and it looked like the spring mechanism had broken. After the bitter cold temperatures the other week, I heard a loud bang after shutting the garage and thought my gutters fell off. Chris was good about sharing options to select from and provided a fair price for removal of our old chain Liftmaster and installation of new belt Liftmaster. Due to a one day prior schedule conflict on our part I called Chris to ask if we could reschedule his service and he graciously moved our install back a couple of days - I know that wasn't easy for him, but he did so without concern and that was a big deal to me. I had my garage door opener installed in 2018. I noticed not too long into it's use that my light bulbs began to go out. He installed the bulbs from my previous opener and so I continued using the same bulbs. Within a few months the bulbs started blowing out. I replaced it and not too long after that another blew. We were working on taking care of my mother in a nursing home and we seemed to be there more than at home, she passed away in November and I've been trying to get her estate settled so I hadn't much time to do anything else. It seemed like more often than not I was replacing bulbs. A few days ago another light went out only a day after I replaced another. I was very concerned that there may be an issue with the wiring. The owner said it had a great warranty and said to call him if I had any issues. I called the owner today and told him my concerns with the lighting and the possibility of a wiring problem that may lead to a fire. The owner asked me the wattage, I didn't know I was at work. He said I should be looking for GDO bulbs. If that were true why did he install the one from my other opener, they weren't made for garage doors. Then told me several times that I needed to call an electrician to have it looked. He told me several times that he didn't have time to waste to come out and look at a light bulb (my concern wasn't the light bulb, it was the electrical and that it might cause a fire). He replied that he was not an electrician. He may not have been but at least he could have checked the electrical portion he installed. I asked him what happened to his "call me anytime if there was a problem" and he again went into his spiel about not wasting time coming out... I gasped the last time he made his comments as he was getting angry at me. I told him I was greatly disappointed and hung up the phone. He called back several times but I wasn't about to waste MY time arguing about something he promised.
