We had a spring break on a Friday and I asked around for recommendations and CD Doors had glowing reviews from friends and family. I called Chris that day and he talked me through what to do and expect and gave me the option for emergency service or regular service. We decided to wait and scheduled him for Monday. He called two jobs ahead to let me know his timing and then texted when he was on his way. When he got here, he explained everything and gave me options for spring replacements and even showed me the differences between them. The work went quickly and then he showed me how to maintain my door properly and we discussed repairs I could do myself. Then we tested everything and he made adjustments to the door to make sure it worked perfectly. I highly recommend calling Chris with all of your garage door needs. read more

If you need any kind of garage door repair in Westerville, Franklin or Delaware Counties I highly recommend you contact CD Doors. Chris offers straight forward and reasonably priced estimates and repairs for any issue you may encounter. Out of nowhere, my garage door would not open more than 12 inches off the ground. Doing a quick internet search it appeared that a spring had broken. I called several different repair services and was quoted $1200+ for the repair. I finally called CD Doors in Westerville and spoke to Chris. He asked that I text pictures of my door and the spring mechanism, made a quick diagnosis and quoted me a price 1/2 of what other repair services offered. Chris arrived first thing the next morning, thoroughly explained and showed me the problem and repair, then got to work. In less than an hour he replaced the faulty spring and lubed all of the hinges on the garage door, the spring mechanism and pulley track. read more

Chris was beyond helpful, and managed to fit me in to his busy schedule. Fast, quick service. Had the springs replaced today. Would definitely call back for future repairs to my garage door.

Called Chris to repair a shorted wall button box after deducing that nothing else is the issue (electricity is flowing and all other parts work fine). He said he would be happy to come out but also walked me through the steps to replace it myself for about $5 if I wanted. I am going to try that, but I was so pleased at how honest he was I wanted to make sure I wrote a positive review. Very helpful but didn't try to charge me for something so basic: still penciled me in for when I was available in case I can't get it myself. read more

Responds to calls right away and was out next morning to fix our broken spring. Glad to get my car back in the garage.

On Sunday morning, I pushed the button on the wall to open my garage and it made the scariest noise you could imagine. It refused to open, and it looked like the spring mechanism had broken. I couldn't imagine that a repair company would be available on a Sunday, but I called CD Doors anyway, hoping for the best. Chris answered the call right away, and made an appointment for first thing the next morning. He got us squared away in less than an hour, and even offered a coupon that I wasn't aware of to reduce the cost a bit. Excellent, friendly service. Highly recommend! read more

Outstanding service, really pleased with this company. Called them early a.m., and had Chris out at lunchtime same day. He was right on time and worked quickly to replace our broken springs. Price was very fair, and he didn't try to up-sell or provide me service or parts I didn't need. Knowledgeable, on time, fair price, honest. Will definitely be using this company in the future. read more

Chris was available on short notice to come out and inspect our door. He diagnosed our problem and was able to fix the problem immediately. Chris even went above and beyond and tightened our motor, which he discovered was mounted very loosely. He was prompt and professional and the rate was very affordable for replacing our broken cables. If we have issues with our garage door in the future, we will definitely contact CD Doors. read more

We came home and realized our garage door wouldn't open due to the weather/snow. My husband called CD Doors and Chris came out the next day. He told us the sprocket was broken. Chris was very thorough and professional. The door was fixed and he also recommended to get some work done on our door because the door is way too heavy than it's supposed to be. We got everything done within a couple of hours and we are very happy with the results. And did I mention that CD Doors has a reasonable price? Our garage door now opens and shuts way more smoothly and it's A LOT quieter than before. Thank you CD Doors! I highly recommend Chris for this type of work you need done. read more

After the bitter cold temperatures the other week, I heard a loud bang after shutting the garage and thought my gutters fell off. They were still in tact, but my garage door wouldn't open more than four feet. I googled "garage door repair Westerville" and found several options. I called a few and they were not able to come check out the door right away and one of the other ones that did come was trying to convince me that I needed a new motor & garage door. Chris, with CD Doors picked up right away when I called and came out the next morning. He did not try to over sell me and showed me that the motor was fine and gave me options to either repair the old door or replace with a cost effective insulated door, while re-mounting the motor where it was supposed to be. I appreciated the honesty and knowledge about his craft. We decided not to put any money in the old door. Chris was out to install the new door within a week only took a few hours. The door looks great and I would highly recommend CD Doors! read more

We called several garage door service companies before selecting Chris at CD Doors since he stood out as clearly the easiest to talk to and work with through our needs. Chris was good about sharing options to select from and provided a fair price for removal of our old chain Liftmaster and installation of new belt Liftmaster. Due to a one day prior schedule conflict on our part I called Chris to ask if we could reschedule his service and he graciously moved our install back a couple of days - I know that wasn't easy for him, but he did so without concern and that was a big deal to me. Thank You! On our scheduled install day Chris called prior as he shared he would and showed on time - those aren't common these days. Once onsite Chris worked consistently for two hours to remove the old opener and install the new and setup the panel and remotes. During the install of the new device, Chris noticed the ceiling mount wasn't properly secured and asked me if it were OK to change it to make it correct and I said "Yes please". He didn't have to do that since the mount was over 20 years old and had worked fine that whole time. This proved to me his high workmanship and experience to make it right even if it wasn't his original install. Chris cleaned up after his service and took everything with him. What I discovered was a well run small business by an experienced and high skilled person that was easy to talk to and helpful along the way. read more

Chris with CD doors has been excellent to work with. The first time I had him out was to assess a squeaking garage door. He was very honest, upfront, and fair. He took the time to educate me how to maintain my door myself to avoid future service calls. This more recent time we had added on to our garage and I needed a new door for the additional bay. I had him replace the old as well. His pricing was excellent (even impressed my framers) and he was able to order in the doors & openers and get them installed 1 week after the quote. Overall he is professional, prompt, courteous, honest and fair. Thank you! read more

Chris at CD Doors is knowledgeable, professional, and reliable. I called in the morning for a quote since my springs broke and he was able to come fix it later in the day. I did call around town for comparison so when I spoke to CD Doors, I knew the price quoted was very reasonable. Chris also oiled the chains and cleaned the area by the sensors to make sure everything would run smoothly. He educated me on what happened & things to look out for in the future. I appreciated that! I will use CD Doors for any future garage needs! Thanks again! read more

I had my garage door opener installed in 2018. I noticed not too long into it's use that my light bulbs began to go out. He installed the bulbs from my previous opener and so I continued using the same bulbs. Within a few months the bulbs started blowing out. I replaced it and not too long after that another blew. We were working on taking care of my mother in a nursing home and we seemed to be there more than at home, she passed away in November and I've been trying to get her estate settled so I hadn't much time to do anything else. It seemed like more often than not I was replacing bulbs. A few days ago another light went out only a day after I replaced another. I was very concerned that there may be an issue with the wiring. The owner said it had a great warranty and said to call him if I had any issues. I called the owner today and told him my concerns with the lighting and the possibility of a wiring problem that may lead to a fire. The owner asked me the wattage, I didn't know I was at work. He said I should be looking for GDO bulbs. If that were true why did he install the one from my other opener, they weren't made for garage doors. Then told me several times that I needed to call an electrician to have it looked. He told me several times that he didn't have time to waste to come out and look at a light bulb (my concern wasn't the light bulb, it was the electrical and that it might cause a fire). He replied that he was not an electrician. He may not have been but at least he could have checked the electrical portion he installed. I asked him what happened to his "call me anytime if there was a problem" and he again went into his spiel about not wasting time coming out... I gasped the last time he made his comments as he was getting angry at me. I told him I was greatly disappointed and hung up the phone. He called back several times but I wasn't about to waste MY time arguing about something he promised. It was clear that service after the install was not a concern and he didn't care to have me ask him to do his job. I thought I would help out a small business but instead I got the business. read more
