I went to this Rockaway quick check after ordering a couple sandwiches for my wife and children. So I went in after I ordered to ask can they cut in 3 1st there were 2 female I asked can you cut the sandwiches in 3 both said sorry I don't speak English but said it in perfect English I may add. So I goes to the front and asked the guy behind the counter they don't speak English he said they never spoke to him in English so I said how in the hell they get a job at a Franchise like quick check if they don't speak English. Now as a E.Chef 6x award winner and Cookbooks Author. I never heard any thing like this in a Franchise & Corporate business! He said that the two female family members of the manager and passed up applicants who were more qualified and extensive experience in the cooking industry. How does this happen quick check how does this happens?and not only that they messed up both my sandwiches one of them had no cheese a BLT my 8 years old son is allergic. And the Italian sub didn't have no salami no mayo I ordered no guacamole or my garlic aioli. Sent my driver over to grab me a sandwich and some ice cream I wanted roast beef and swiss with lettuce tomato onion olives oil and vinegar oregano and hot peppers on the side what I got was a much smaller version of what a sandwich should be with one slice of roast beef and two half slices of American cheese peppers on the side the meet had a color gray and green now I know this is no mistake on my driver as she has been with me for quite a while and I had sent her to several places for food and for anything else she shops for me she has been precise and detailed in getting exactly what I need so don't try to blaming it on the messenger I am so very sure she ordered correctly and I know for a fact from past experiences with this store that you have to order extra meat in order to get a normal size of meat on your sandwich and what they charge for extra meat they should be ashamed bread had water on it and the refrigeration there is not very cold ice cream soft a little bit melted and their chips are overpriced so the only good thing I have to say about it is that it's open 24 hours that is if you're getting something that isn't edible P.S. if you tried to call them concerning the issue the phone will ring several times and then machine will say this phone is not working right now please try again a little later read more

Rockaway Quick Chek is a very good place to grab a coffee, sandwich, or snack without breaking the bank. You can get in and out pretty quickly and be on your way. The coffee is always freshly brewed and the food is pretty good here as well. The deli sandwiches are always tasty and are made to your order. There are 153 Quick Chek stores in New Jersey and while I'm not gonna tell you that I've been to every one of them I am gonna tell you that I've been to Alot of them. In my humble opinion this chain is the King of Convenience Stores in Jersey. You can get Lottery, cold beverages, cigarettes, cigars, newspapers, milk, bread, and just about everything else you need here. Open 24/7 makes this store extremely convenient. Service is usually friendly and shelves are well stocked. I think this is one of the better Q.C.s around. read more

Its really sad that the manager that i never meant before after buying food for more then 10 years suddenly a manager who i never saw before tells me am not allowed back in quick chek . This is what happens when your part of the democratic Progressive party that actually cares . This is how i care too much many year ago i send a list of food creative options to the director of foods ,and she told me that my options is alot but she would bring it up with the team . Then for my caring and creativeness the hiring manager has me come in for a job interview then tells me that we will have you come back in for another interview but instead to only found out that the position has been already filed very unprofessional . A slap in the face to me because i never had a job but volunteering ,and at that time i lived across the street . This is a big beautiful and clean Quick Chek ! Being on the run and new to the neighborhood for the summer it's been a godsend with their prepared foods and ability to order customized things to eat It is a great alternative to always relying on fast food read more

Nice little 7 Eleven type of store. It's much larger than it appears from the outside. The parking lot is pretty big since it extends around the corner. The front is always full since it is a shared lot (shared with a Chinese takeout and a Vitamin Shop) Coffee is pretty decent and sandwiches are much better than I had expected. On a different note, you get a lot of sketchy characters hanging out at the side of the store. This seems like a hot spot for teens to hang out. This is an ok quick check. Things for last minute Items or if you want something to snack on. They are stocked like any other quick check you will stop at. The employees are ok. The last time I was In here me and my boyfriends mom waited for frozen coffees because they where chit chatting. Took longer than anticipated. The deli is ok, never had any problems with food quality. There are other quick checks to stop at.. this is my once in a blue moon I will stop to. read more

Great place if you want a sandwich. It is like magic. You type what you want on the little computer monitor and a few minutes poof you have a sandwich. They also have a great selection of coffee for the AM crowd. The line gets long, but they chug along and get you out the door fairly quick. read more

Eh... This place gets the job done. If you're in a hurry, you can rush in, grab what you need and go. They have a sandwich station with little touch screen monitors so you can specify exactly what you want on your sandwich. Once the order is placed, a receipt is printed, the staff make it and call the number on the receipt once it's ready. You can bring the receipt right up to the cashier and he or she can scan the barcode and ring you up. There's also a pretty good selection of soups and chili everyday. The line to check out can get pretty long sometimes, but it usually moves quickly. The only time it doesn't is when people are doing lottery and purchasing a thousand scratch-off tickets. read more

I really hate leaving negative reviews; having worked in food service for years MYSELF, I know little mistakes happen from time to time. But it feels like EVERY time I order sandwiches here, I have to talk myself out of writing a negative review. I don't expect the sandwiches to be above and beyond, but it would be nice if most of my order was there, more often than its not. It all seems to be little things, so I try to be understanding and not cause any issues, but its really starting to add up :( Lately, I've paid $1.25 extra for avocado and had it forgotten from the sandwich; ordered extra condiments and received absolutely none, been given sandwiches with the LETTUCE forgotten (leaving it bread, cheese, and tomato), been given the wrong type of bagel, had cold subs come out toasted, etc! I feel like I have the worst luck here! Other than the occasional mis-made sandwich, the store has a very nice and clean selection, and I will still be coming to Quickchek for my quick snacks and drinks. *UPDATE 11/2/20* I decided to order another sub tonight, and not only was the lettuce forgotten again this time, but so was the tomato. I had a piece of cheese and onions on bread. I cannot for the life of me understand why this happens EVERY single time I order here; I am genuinely starting to question whether or not it is intentional!!! This is getting absolutely ridiculous. This place has never let medown. Fresh bread, condoms, eggs, whatever items I needed they had. I give it three stars tho, because this place gets swapped during the morning rush. For a small town, this quick check could really use an expansion. Tight isles, overcrowded parking, high school kids hanging around on Friday night. One could argue the heavy traffic is a sign of success. Yet I feel as though its outgrown this little lot on Main Street. read more

I go here for 2 main reasons...the location and the coffee. I go religiously every morning, even on the weekends. I am very picky about coffee and haven't found one to brew at home that I like. I enjoy their cinnamon coffee, their vanilla and some of the seasonal coffees. It is right in the center of town where there is not much else going on. I have been going for years but you get your occasional awesome employee who sadly you get to know like family when you are there every day haha. I give it 4 out of 5 because although I love it there I agree with other posters there are SHADY people that wait outside. Fortunately there is also a decent police presence since it is very close to the police station. read more

Quik Check is open 24 hours a day and I'd being lying if I didn't like this place. I like their vast selection of coffee. I like that they are a sponsor of the Devils. I like coming here for lunch and getting a 6 inch italian with tomato, banana peppers and russian dressing for $3. I like coming here after the bar and getting the same sandwich. I like that they have 2 bathrooms. read more
