I wish I could give zero stars! After searching for an open pump for gas (so many out of order) I then waited 10 mins for anyone to come pump. I asked to have my tank filled. When they told me the total it didn't seem right. When I looked at my gas tank I had 1/2 tank! Wtf??? I literally left and went to another gas station. This store has to be one of the worse around. I have come here for years, mostly for cigarettes & fuel since it's close to my house. The store is dirty and poorly run. No matter what time you go there, you are often waiting at the register for an employee to come from the back and help you. In my most recent visit I waited in line for almost 5 minutes mid-day with 4-5 other customers before someone had shown up to help us. Once that person arrived he (Jake) told everyone we have to use the automated teller machine. I stated I did not want to use the machine for my purchase. I have used them before, and they are very slow, most of the time don't want to take bills unless they are perfectly flat, and even once you manage to get past that process and a dozen questions the machine ask, it takes a solid minute or more for the machine to spit out your change. Other customers were not happy either, but I work hard for my money and spend too much at this store to be talked to like a chump from a stock boy. Once I told the employee (Jake) who seems to have the I.Q. of a peanut for the third time I did not want to use the automated teller, he became angry and belligerent and told me he was to busy stocking items to help me. In the time he spend arguing with me, he could have completed the transaction multiple times. He then proceeded to take other customers that were behind me at the automated teller and was refusing to help me. All the while making a seen in front of all the other customers on how he can refuse service to ANYONE for ANY reason. We will see what corporate thinks of their stock boy turning away their customers at his own discretion. At this point I started to record him on my phone. He seemed unhinged and I wanted to document his lack of professionalism in order to file a complaint with QuickChek corporate at very least. His behavior and demeanor makes him unfit to work dealing with the public and frankly he is a liability for Quick Check. At that point another employee and a manager (Tara) came walking up and stated it was illegal for me to record in the store. Now if anyone is familiar with FCC laws and federal regulation regarding photography videography & audio recording you would know it's perfectly legal and is a constitutionally protected activity. NJ is also a one party state with regard to audio recording. Meaning it's perfectly legal as long as one party to the conversation consents to the recording (me). Being a private business they are within their rights to not allow such photography and videography in their store, but there are no signs stating said restrictions and that would be their "policy" NOT law. They would also need to enforce this across the board and not selectively enforce the policy as they choose without discriminating against me. They can't even legally trespass somebody without first asking them to leave. The fact is I was only recorded due to Jake's unprofessional demeanor. Besides these recent events, employees are often cursing and using profanity talking to one another while customers are around, the store is always dirty, and even basic maintenance and repair like fixing a door that won't stay closed for over 6 years seems to be too much for them. The gas pumps are extremely slow, and the garbage cans outside are usually overflowing. We have many other options for convenience stores in the area, this place should be crossed off everyone's list. Quick Check needs to dump some money into the store itself, and clean house from the top down with regards to staff. Like I said, I go here mostly for cigarettes and gas. I spend on adverage $300.00 - $350.00 a week at this store just on gas, diesel & cigarettes. I would never even think about getting food from this store. If this is how they treat someone that spends this much and is at their store twice a day, just imagine how they will treat the occasional customer. You have been warned!! read more

This place makes the worst subs ever. I went here and got my son a meatball sub. I had to open a jar of sauce because they gave me reheated frozen meatballs on roll and sorry looking cheese. There was maybe a tablespoon of sauce. I actually got myself a meatball sub from them a year later and they put zero sauce. I was giving them a second chance. I just wanted something quick. I shop at the QuickChek store every morning and occasionally in the late afternoon and evening. "The morning staff" is very personable, friendly and eager to assist and please their customers! They work very hard to keep the store extremely clean! ( The staff that I have had the pleasure to deal directly with are as follows: Justin, Willy, Kathy, and Tammy) It is truly a pleasure interacting with them. this is my favorite Quick Check, staff and management have come a very long way from what it was, the current store manager is a woman and she is the best manager by far since the store opened, the older guy in food service has a habit of getting my order wrong, but to his defense, I do have some crazy sub orders lol, the girls on register are amazing, some of the guys are really good too, I will not use names on my review. I have been to a lot of quick checks, I would not give five stars to any but this one. I have read the reviews, it is a very busy intersection, around rush hour it can get packed and as we are all only human, you cannot expect super human service, please be kind and patient during the busy hours, do not yell at the staff, I'll come down there and yell at you. love my Quick Check. read more

So this was my first time shopping at this Quick Chek and it was terrible. I was walking up to get my sandwich I had ordered and paid for and watched an employee juggling food and dropping them all on the floor laughing with his co worker. Then they decided to tell me they didn't make my sandwich yet. Waited a moment (10 seconds) and then he yells in my ear my order number. Crazy experience and I'm surprised how unprofessional these kids were. Quick Chek in my town is amazing. The food was also terrible. The reason I went to Quick Chek for gasoline is because they don't charge extra for using a credit card AND their price was the same or lower than other places cash price. When I read the other reviews, I thought "no, that's not at all what I experienced". I went there on Sunday (7/31/11) around noontime and there were 2 other cars getting gas. As soon as I was stopped at the pump, the attendant came right over. He was a friendly young man. When the gas was done pumping he was there within 1 minute to remove the nozzle. This is the third time I got a sandwich from this place. Never again. Every time I get one, there is always something not added that I wanted & paid for in my order. Anyways, I go to "quick" chek, made me wait 20 mins (I was the only one waiting) there was one woman there, seemed busy, but when another employee comes in, she says "what took you so long? I'm here all alone!" And he makes my sandwich, finally. Waited another 5 minutes ( I am now late for work) and finally received my sandwich. I go to my car to eat it real fast before work, and I notice how there is absolutely nothing I wanted on it. Just turkey, lettuce, and a few jalapeños. Could not be more disappointed with this Quick Chek. There is NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER a stocked display of salads or sandwiches in the morning. If your open 24 hours, ALL YOUR PRODUCT should be available 24 hours!!!! The soup station is something of a nightmare, and hold onto your hats, when they list soups, the chart atop the station is never accurate of the soup that is available. Why is this important, I look at that chart because I am allergic to Gluten! The ONLY saving grace to this establishment is that they carry a very small selection of David's Gluten Free Treats, otherwise, not even their newspaper display is adequate. And, oh yes, one more word of mention, Why do they put the Salad Dressings atop their empty cold food display where no-one except tall people can get to them? I actually called their Corporate Office on this very matter and you know what they did to move the dressings? Nothing. Way to go Quick Check I'm sure people with disabilities really appreciate your establishment ( I am being sarcastic), I am sure they are unhappy with the arrangement of products they cannot get to either.
