My Dad was chomping at the fucking.bit to hear some jazz tonight and as a result, we found out about this place. One of my favorite things about visiting nOLA is the jazz and I almost feel like it's the twilight zone that i can have the live Jazz experience in my home town. Not only that, but everything about our experience, start to finish, was amazing. They enticed us with the live jazz outside..As all of their tables were taken up, our initial strategy was to sit at the bar and hopefully be able to hear the music from inside. Not only did they have a whole band INSIDE the bar playing for those patrons, but we were given the choice of them literally building us a table outside. You can't really go wrong with either choice but due to the absolutely perfect weather outside and my mother's panic phobia about covid, we elected to sit outside. They straight up brought a table and four chairs outside for us to enjoy the band playing outside. The temperate fall air and lively Jazz is an ambiance that is few and far between. We had initially planned on just ordering drinks but were selling what we were buying and dropped a few food menus and had us eating out of their hand. They legit had MOZARELLA FRIED ZUCCHINI B LOSSOMS, some delicious vegetarian ravioli, arancini, and honestly whether you're into steak or farro and kale salad, they can push your.buttons, Both of my parents ordered a spring-roll-like appetizer, one with salmon and one with veggies (extra brownie points for the vegetarian option). My parents some how missed the fact that they were ordering from the appetizer menu and were disappointed in the portion size but absolutely adored the dish. . Even though I talk up and down for about 99% of the time about the fact that I'm "on a diet now" I'm actually full of shit when it comes down to the wire and I absolutely could not resist ordering their fried mozzarella zucchini blossoms which were enveloped in a delicate but delicious outer crust with creamy cheese and zucchini blososms. They were served with an orgasmic tomato sauce with a little touch of pesto. The food was the perfect complement to the musi. They have an interesting cocktail menu as well. I couldn't resist ordering their Frenesi with tequila, lemon juice, cinnamon syrup, apple bitters, hard cider. This was served in a cocktail glass with little floating (what I'm assuming is cinnamon fits that almost looked to be sparkles. It was such a beautiful drink and had such a unique flavor. GF initially ordered the All That Jazz with rye, calvados, Demerara syrup, peychaud's bitters,, ango bitters, and up in smoke however we were informed that they did not have all ingredients to make this drink. She went with her second choice, the Jam Session with bourbon, lemon, stone fruit syrup, peychaud's orange peel, Brandie's cherry. I tried this and as a strong bourbon drink, wasn't my immature palate's favorite but I appreciated the combo of bourbon and fruit flavor. Our server was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was as excellent as it could possibly be. My Mom was literally obsessed with him and couldn't stop commenting on how well he was taking care of us. Huge shout out to that man right there. I'm so excited that this place exists and GF and I have already decided to keep the local taxi on speed dial for further visits to this place. PS-sorry if this is filled with typos but I was literally too lazy to wear glasses while writing this so I am just typing and hoping for the best.

When I reserved, I confirmed there would be live music. I got a call last minute that they cancelled the music. We had plans with friends and went anyway. The entrance portrays a speakeasy vibe which is done very nicely. The bartender was friendly, and overall service was solid 4. Appetizers were good. We had a special tasty empanada, fresh corn salad, crab cake and fried calamari. The corn salad had fresh greens and was tasty. It had a nice flavor and definitely refreshing. The crab cake was delicious. The calamari was ok. Restaurant has a limited menu, but enough selection in the few menu choices. When it came to main entrees sadly, they were out of lobster ravioli and lobster mac & cheese. The beef Wellington was a bit dry and overcooked (not medium rare as ordered) and plain-looking as it was sitting alone on the large plate. Desserts were excellent. We had homemade Oreo cake with fresh whipped cream and a very delicious creamy cheesecake. Absolute a five star for desserts. Overall: 3.5. Great atmosphere and desserts, but the rest was a bit disappointing.

Friday and Saturday evenings tickets range $25 (students) to $35 (adults). Sets are basically at 7pm and 9pm. On Sundays they feature smooth Brazilian Jazz and/or Samba sets at 4pm or 6pm, tickets range $15 (students) to $20 (adults). We have had the pleasure to see performances by Ravi Coltrane and his quartet, Renee Rosnes quartet, Bill Charlap, Joey Francesco, Joe Farnsworth, Eric Alexander, and a few others. A small menu consists of: cocktails, wines and beer, plus various appetizers, a few entrees at an added cost. The room has many small tables, and a few high tops for seating. Owners, Ellen and Mark have put their hearts into the venue through the years. They are often present, with a very friendly and welcoming staff. Jazz Forum also has educational Jazz programs for children available on their website. Jazz Forum is a perfect venue to enjoy some awesome talent in the Westchester area! Donations are welcome. At one time, the theater would show movies that had already been released for some time, and it was staffed by volunteers. Most notably, concession prices were cheap: $1 popcorn, $2 sodas, etc. From 2010 to about 2019 the theatre was shuttered. Thanks in part to benefactors and other community sponsors, the Theatre has been beautifully redone & hosts about 50 different types of performances per year, ranging from comedy, tribute shows, along with occasional classic movies from generations ago. They do have a small concession stand, and (at least the night I attended) alcoholic drinks were available for purchase. Went to see the Irish Tenors perform and no seat was a bad seat. They even did a meet and greet afterwards. Be sure to check out the Theatre as they do partner with local businesses on providing discounts to ticket holders. For example, showing your ticket to Luna Azzura restaurant will get you a free glass of wine for up to three days after (the) show.

From the moment we (my bf & me)walked in, it felt like stepping into Willy Wonka's world. We received a box full of numbered treats to taste along while watching the movie. There were chocolate samples, even ones wrapped in a little golden ticket, gummis, jawbreakers, etc. that made snacking during the movie so much more magical. Watching the movie while tasting all these themed goodies made it feel like I was part of the story. Every chocolate river, Everlasting Gobstopper, & fizzy lifting drink scene had me reaching for my own treats at just the right moment(the screen prompted which number to eat). It was interactive in the sweetest way possible (literally)! The theater itself was cozy, spacious, and welcoming, & the staff went all out to make it feel whimsical.I loved how they made a classic movie feel fresh & playful again. This isn't just going to the movies it's stepping into a candy-colored dreamland for a few hours!
