The outside has recently been updated, so it's a lot cleaner looking than it used to be. Besides, you're only there for all of 4 minutes. 1. Food is great and price is great however many times after work I hauled over there on the CTA bus to get there before 9pm on weekdays and the owner is sitting there at 8:40ish, cleaning and saying theyre closed. Again, many times as in more than 3 in last 2 months. One time it was me and 2 other parties off the CTA bus. I work at a place where our hours is key to biz and I understand closing up early if slow however shutting down biz multiple times is not very customer friendly especially for take out, not dine in. besides that, the food is fatty and price is great however I think I'm done trying to beat the clock to get there. read more

I always want to go to this place on Sunday when I'm hanging around house getting hungry but they are closed on Sundays. When I go during the week there is always a steady stream of customers but the wait is never long and the food is fresh and tasty. Pretty good specials under five bucks. Beef sandwiches are big and juicy not skimpy like Al's beef down the street. Burgers are juicy and chat broiled small parking lot is also a plus but I usually find a spot in front though. Heaping serving of fries for cheap but subpar in taste

Yesterday was my first time actually dining at the little place, I've gotten cheese fries from there before and I do remember not liking them, but going there yesterday I would definitely rate this place a solid 4/10. The staff was very lazy when my mom and I were ordering, I was asking what type of drinks they had and what came on the burgers and the most the guy could do was POINT to where the drinks were and where the photo was so I would figure it out myself, like I real life wouldn't treat tf outta him. Like you don't wanna work or something I'm confused u lazy ass. As for the quality of the burger and fries, food was a solid 3/10. Fries were unsalty and tasted like they're from Aldis. Lettuce on my burger had a very nasty taste to it almost as if it was old. The meat was also dry but just moist cus of the grease. Whoever said their burgers were good haven't gone to Portillo's or Clark dogs. Cute aesthetic just trash burgers and lazy workers. read more

Quick Bites is a really reasonable hot dog stand that has great gyros. The portions are so generous I sometimes cannot even finish the gyros. Their hot dogs and fries are just OK, but who can complain when you are paying less than $2? They have limited counter seating and a small parking lot, so it's best to take it to go. read more

This place was deeeeeeelicious and just the sort of fare I was hankering for. My husband got the 2 hot dog, fries and pop deal and I got the 1/4 lb cheeseburger, fries, and pop deal. While the prices appear to have gone up compared to other reviewers (the total was $12 for ours), it was still a bargain because each combo was at least 5000 calories, so surely many days worth of meals for the price of one. That being said, if you aren't planning on eating like it's the end of the world, you can probably swing with just one basket of fries and one pop between two people (and still feel gorged, trust me). Last week I took my daughter here. We ordered the 2 hot dog with fries and a drink special. On hers, I told them we wanted it with nothing on it. On mine, I told them I wanted everything except tomato and onion. There was a game on their tv so no one was paying attention to what I had just ordered. Great little place with a loaded hot dog and french fries for $2.25. And when I say loaded, I mean loaded! These guys take their dogs very seriously. The open window on the parking lot side is actually for ventillation, not for walk-up orders (found this out the hard way after I stood there forever and the staff wouldn't make eye contact -- newcomer blooper!). Nothing exciting food wise- the standard burgers, dogs, gyros, beef/sausage and fried stuff- but the service is quick and the food is cheap for your dog fix. i Was waiting for my stereo to be installed at the place next to Quick Bites so I went over to grab a gyro and OH MY GOD THAT GYRO WAS SO GOOD. Everything seemed fresh, the meat was flavorful and juicy, not dried out, the pita was soft, the tzatziki was creamy - it was delicious.
